  • This bike was such a joy to ride! It handles the North Shore brilliantly while still putting a smile on my face during the chill stuff. I've got to thank ‪@VanCan‬ for inspiring me to try one and ‪@knollybikeshq‬ for creating a bike that more people should be riding.

    Duuuude that bike is so QUIET!!! Just pitter pattered down the trail. Your audio was crisp and pretty much could only hear rubber rolling on dirt. WOW!!! Knolly is doing great work. Love the dropper post insertion, clean aluminum edges, and the idea of a burly high end alloy focus. So sick! Great review.

      I was going to say the same thing! SILENT!

      Thank you! And yeah It's SO quiet! This was also a brand new build from Dialed Bike Service, I was the first one on it so everything was nice and polished. I loveee me a silent bike.

    I have the same bike, and I am most pleased with Knolly's customer service. They are top notch in my experience and that is why I am loyal to Knolly, on my second one.

    Five rides on mine and I love it. Great for the fast DH style of riding, the JANK and mellow rides too. One bike for all. One pound heavier than my previous two carbon bikes. Can't feel the weight difference.

      Nice! I’ve only heard good things about this bike. Do you live around the shore then? I really haven’t seen them in the US so I’m always curious where the riders are at

      Do they not ship outside of US and Canada?

    Ha! Now Pinkbike should be really worried about none-pros putting content on YouTune. Really awesome review, you should do more. Wondering if you've tried Evil, I mean they're local to you, no?
    Also, your riding isn't THAT far of Van Can, except maybe a bit more speed. You don't shy away from new features, so kudos.
    And your next review should be soft, one-day contact lenses, I swear they are a game changer, how you ride in damp and wet conditions with inserts is beyond me :)

      haha thank you! I haven't tried any Evil bikes... when I first got into biking, I thought the Insurgent was my dream bike. Sadly, I've heard so many horror stories from Evil owners that I'm not keen to try one. I'd love to test out a high pivot bike though since I've never done that! The goggle inserts for prescription lenses is such a pain... contacts are kinda expensive haha so I'll just suffer through it

    My biggest concern with the Knollys is the exposed bearings. I'd be replacing bearings monthly with how much I ride in wet conditions. I've also never heard from any owners on how easy it is to replace bearings on these frames. Not all frames are created equal in this regard.

      @MTB_Corbin  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah us in the PNW have to deal with wet conditions all winter... but being that Knolly's are built with the Sea to Sky corridor riding in mind, I'm sure they do wonderfully in constant wet conditions. Have you heard of bearing issues on these frames in particular?

      There are a lot of bearings for sure. But I haven't had any issues on mine at all, riding year-round on the north shore regardless of weather. All titanium hardware and sealed bearings seem to do the trick.
      Replacing the bearings isn't too bad. It looks easier on the new models because they machined the tooling surfaces around the bearings to be flat and flush- that should make it easier. I bought a spare set of swing links (housing 6 of 12 bearings), so I can swap them out and then replace the bearings after.

      I have had Knolly bikes in the rain forest of northern BC for four years, replacing bearings takes time because there are 12 in a Knolly, but I don't find it challenging. The bearings also last just as long as anything else.
