Very well organized and instructions are good and kept simple. No wasted time fumbling with tools or camera.

Good tutorial but just a few things from a licensed HVAC tech. Mineral oil is not just incompatible with PAG oil but also with R134a. You should only use Ester oil in conversions as it's also a legal EPA requirement in retrofits. You really need to flush the system to get all of the old mineral oil out. That includes replacing all of the O rings and gaskets in the system (as they're not compatible with R134a) and replacing the compressor as it's almost impossible to remove all of the old mineral oil out without disassembling it. Also the clutch seal on OEM Harrison compressor on the Fiero is incompatible with R134a and will fail eventually. The Fiero has the old tube and fin type condenser and can be flushed, later parallel condensers cannot and will have to be replaced. Also of note is some of the old R12 hoses are not compatible with R134a and will eventually go soft and fail. If on the high side it will fail spectacularly! ask me how I know....

The manufacturer of the conversion kit makes no mention of flushing out the old oil. The link to that video is in the description.

Great Tutorial. How long does it take to fully charge the system after the swap?

no long. It's how much you add in pounds or how much pressure you have on the gauge to know when it's full.

I don't have the high pressure port at the front ! How's that Possible ? It's a 84 Fiero. Early Ones didn't have it ?

@@jovanluit8262 idk. I don't have a shop manual for an 84. I would have to look on the internet to find out where your high pressure port is.

Do you need to replace the dryer to convert to 134 or you just did cause it was old?

anytime you open the system to air, you'll want to replace the accumulator because it will absorb moisture from the air and be useless. They are very cheap.
