I want to thank you so much. I have watched so many desktop builds. I don't have the tools they all have. You are the only one who teaches me how to build without all those fancy tools. I can't thank you enough. This is just what I wanted.
Great video. Thank you from a retired teacher. What a kind thing you are doing to help people who are struggling right now to educate their children at home. God bless you.
Excellent video and design. I haven't wood worked since high school, but seeing this has inspired me to try to make this for my twin boys...and maybe others!
This is an amazing idea!! Im only just starting to get interested in woodworking as a hobby but once I am fully invested I would love to do something like this for my community! What a great inspiration! Thank You!

Hi Donna. Sorry for the late response. There are multiple ways you can put the top on. It really depends on how "finished" you want it. The fastest and easiest is to just nail or screw from the top, but you'll have exposed screws/nails. You could also get some L brackets and use a few of those. Even though I have a pocket hole jig, I was trying to knock these out faster, so what I was doing was drilling some recessed holes in the cross supports, then screwed the tops on from the bottom.

Props to you for doing this! My father in law is currently cranking out a bunch of desks for kids at need right now... such a great movement!
Thanks for inspiring me. I will make my first desk next week and upload it to your channel.
Can't wait!
Melody: how did you upload it?

What an amazing, and generous gift for families. You are the best.
Thank you so much!
Can you send me the video of the more difficult desk? I do have a pocket hole kit and clamp and would love to make the other version,. Thanks
You are an angel.
God Bless you for doing all this. It's fantastic! What is the delivery process if the children's parents don't have reliable transportation?
It varies, most of the time they are finding a way. Sometimes we are delivering if it's not too far.
Keep the videos coming! Love it
More to come!
Thanks for sharing the video, I made two desks for my grandkids. I would like to help you with making desks. I can send you pictures of the desks.
awesome! that's what I want to hear. Tag me on Instagram if you can. @cr.crafted

Where are you located and how can I get one?
How to put the top part?
I would like to help build the desks.
Do you have the plans by any chance?
of the pocket hole version :)
Hey Derrick, I'll work on a "paper" version of the plans.
