I actually realized why. In another ad, this was mentioned, but it is because it is good for the customer to be getting good deals, just not good for the company.

Circuit City was the end of an era. I really liked shopping there. Sales people knew the products and always gave me great advice about which product was the right fit. The only place I shopped at for electronics and appliances, other than Sears, for years. Now, you mostly take chances on Amazon without even seeing the products. A different world.....

They probably will by the end of the year or maybe into the beginning of 2021. Steinmart and Pier 1 Imports are going out of business right now. Steinmart just got started, while Pier 1 is approaching its last weeks.
There's only 2 Kmarts left and they're not big enough to run an ad. One is in Miami and they downsized it to the size of a dollar store. There's a little bit of clothes and snack food. On one hand the lady who works there has the easiest retail job in the world...on the other hand it has the worst job security in the world. It's not a matter of if the other shoe will drop but when.
