Just had the pleasure of meeting Xander at the airport coming back from another adventure. Thanks for taking the time to chat with with me.I am looking forward to the video from the trip.
Xander's video is so long that I won't finish watching this one in time of release of your's Jon. But I will watch both of them to see different perspectives of trip 😁💪
hands down, one of the best outdoor adventure videos I have ever watched... the mix of wildlife, natural landscape, navigation, cooking, dialogue, and fishing is amazing.
For sure! That's one of the reasons why I love watching his videos. He blends humor, food, nature, and travel all into them. It's better than watching most movies and TV shows 🙌🏕🏞
I just really appreciate what you do Xander. Hauling a bunch of camera equipment through the wilderness, finding great shots, filming banter, showing tips, and after all that is done, spending who knows how many hours sifting through footage and cutting it into a feature-film-length piece of entertainment. What you do is awesome.
Having discovered both yours and Lost Lake's channels independently and being able to see both of you so often in the same videos as friends is awesome. Long time viewer of you both, thanks for continued uploads.
Watched this for the second time when there was no other Xander programs to watch. It's so good. We'll watch it again and again. Love the comradery between you and Jon but alone or with someone you're still our first pick when searching out great programming on TH-cam
Hey Xander, I just wanted to tell you that your videos helped me to relax and fall asleep during a very difficult time in my life. They gave me a calm feeling that I just wasn't getting at the time that I deeply needed. You gave me an escape from the prison I was experiencing. Thank you - Adam
I have to say i love these videos. i found your 5 days on a island video and you have made my day less boring every time. You have great talents and you should definitely keep grinding!❤
I used to go canoe camping once a year when I was younger for 8-10 days at a time. My favourite trip we ever did was to the interior of Killarny park. Second to that, I love the Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Provincial Park and the Temagami area. Your videos are giving me that itch to get out there again one of these days (Health concerns to get under control first). You've really opened my eyes to how many incredible places are out there that I haven't seen yet! The whole situation with your lip swelling up and having some absolutely hysterical moments with your friends are a great example of memories created you won't forget. A hilarious story you can recount in the future. One of my personal favourite experiences was on the trip through Killarny park, there was a forest fire on the mountain a short distance across the lake from us. Portaging into the lake, we met a group of firefighters resting along the portage trail, and we hike through the smokey forest carrying our gear. They said we were safe if we stuck to the trail and stayed on the opposite site of the lake. We had a great view of the fire from our site that night. I can't remember the name of the lake, (it might've been Nellie lake). I remember you could see straight to the bottom from the middle of the lake, it was incredible. We got to watch the fire on the mountain all night, with the lights flickering across the lake. In the next day or two, we climbed Silver Peak, and watched water bombers in action from there, as they replenished their tanks on one of the lakes below us and were dumping them on the fire. Appreciate your content Xander, keep doing what you love.
I love all your great friendships but even though you haven't met all your viewers remember we're your friends too . Thanks for such great videos. In a crazy world they bring a helping of peace.
@@outdoormcbain2346 When Xander needs something he would never ask of his "pretty girls", poor Patches gets the call. (She can expect to be ghosted for the rest of the summer.)
Oh I agree , they are great camping duo. So I like to meditate but I meditate on scripture, I'm putting truth in.I'm listening to the Lord and oh my gosh what an amazing joy it brings and peace. I'm discovered how much he loves me and it's changed everything❤
About 30 seconds in, saw the second canoe and thought “man I hope it’s Jon!” I enjoy all of your videos but the ones with Jon are extra good. I really enjoy the friendship and dynamic between you two. Thanks for all the effort you’re putting in to keep us entertained!
O my god, your lip. I'm not making fun of you Xander but that was the funniest. Thanks for sharing that. Too funny. And I'm glad your fine - thank goodness for Benadryl! Awesome trip!
I absolutely love your videos, the shorter and longer ones alike, when you are solo or in a group, it is all amazing. realistically I will never go on a camping trip in Canada, even though I would love to and I am in awe of the scenery :)) with your videos, I feel like I am almost there, it is amazing :D thank you for your work, your humour, sharing what you share, you and your channel really are gems!
I love your videos Xander. I also absolutely love that your sponsor is Headspace, and the very real talk on how mental health matters. The more we talk about it in society, the more likely we are to end the stigma one day. Stay cool man
It's a wonderful thing to share a friendship with us all, It's been very cool to see you both doing this together for a while now. Thanks Xander it makes an old mans heart warm.
I wish that TH-cam had something stronger than a "like" that we could give. Maybe only like 10 a year to give out. This would get one. Longer than a movie and way more enjoyable. That last campsite was amazing. I could spend 3 days on that lake alone.
Your agility on the nearly last portage carrying the canoe on your shoulders amazes me. As does you filmmaking on some of the portages- camera down. Walk back. Canoe up. Walk past camera. Canoe down. Next shot. Unbelievable. Same with some of the river shots. Great work. Beautiful video of your wonderful lakes and rivers. From Down Under.
Xander I’m a new fan I found you through lost lakes last week , me and my wife have binge watched all your videos in less then a week. Now we will watch Jim, max, John, and everyone else .
Mosquitoes DONT BITE with water and vanilla extract 50/50. Spray it all over and it’s helped me immensely. Great video! Can’t wait to watch the next one 🤙
I was just thinking to myself yesterday after watching some of your older videos, "I could really go for a new long Xander video with Jon in it" and BAM. Here it is, thank you!
Yes, you are showing your life, and what a life it is. Thank you for thinking out loud to us. It's one of the things that makes your channel so unique.
Lol, Xander, at least you have an awesome sense of humor about your lip. That was a helluva bite! Glad you had Jon there with you to nurse you back to normal 😂😂
You two are quite the pair. I'm 20 minutes in, but have to break for BBC and PBS news, my daily habit. Will continue on later. Great trip so far. Those pizza wraps look good. Also the chicken chili.
I forgot to say. I loved it when John goes. I'm trying to enjoy a nice piece of walleye. And xander's trying to get me to smell sneak pee. LMAO. I love you guys. Lol
Finished the video. Great cinematography, beautiful views, wildlife and wildflowers. That was quite a fat lip you had, but looked like the Benadryl worked. The fish fries looked good. The favorite here in Wisconsin is pretty much walleye. Nice adventure for you and John. Thanks for sharing.
You and John are both so fantastic at this whole process. I've been canoeing for a long time but don't have access to a place like N. Ontario. I wish I could have done something like this in my 20s. A fantastic life! Congrats and enjoy (while we do too).
You two are WAY too FUNNY! Was on this same trip about 9 years ago..total epicness! Will be headed into Wabakimi in 3 weeks for 10 days…looking forward to all she has to offer shortly! I have to say…I did laugh about your lip…So sorry Xander, hope you are feeling better!!! TY, guys!
Also: main course meal box with main course pack inside, then hot pack in the box next to the main course pack. Pour a little water in and let it cook that way, knead the meal as it heats to heat it evenly. Don't put your meal pack in the water bag with the reaction element. All MREs are gross but you'll feel like a champ if you eat everything in one.
I don’t usually share, but ur swollen lip was so funny, I sprayed my drink out bursting in laughter. 😂🤣😆😂 I am sorry you were stung, but u took the high road & made it hilarious!!!!!
What a great video, took your advice and picked up a used Prospector off MarketPlace. This canoe handles so much better than my other one. Had it out in the wind yesterday and handled like a dream. Thank you, Xander, for all you do!
I’ve literally been binge watching you and John‘s TH-cam channels. I had no idea you two were good friends and this just makes it all that much better. I would hear subtle comments about lost lakes, and it peaked my interest. This is too cool.
I remember that time Jon forgot some of his food on a trip with ya, Xander, it's too bad he didn't forget his pillow on this trip, he coulda drifted off to sleep at night resting his head on that puffy lip of yours...😂
Great adventure guys. This is the second time watching this Vid. Me being from Northwestern Ontario and have fished and camped as far north as Red Lake. This and many other adventures you go one reminds me of the good times I have had in my past. Cheers guy's, I will check out you vid as well John.. tc..
I hadn't even started the video yet and dropped a like. Your vids are my meditation. Thank you for uploading Xander, can't wait to watch the next one. :)

Bro this is one hilarious video that lip bite had me absolutely hysterical, even my son who’s 3 was watching and he went to get a drink and pretended he had a swollen lip absolutely hysterical 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣brilliant video!!
Xander + Jon = best camping duo. Their dynamic is always amazing and funny.
I totally agree!😂
💯
So true, love watching both accounts
The Bantering is great 👍, almost as good as brothers Jim and Ted. Enjoy boys 😁
There’s something about Jon that reminds me of a state cop on vacation..😂
Just had the pleasure of meeting Xander at the airport coming back from another adventure.
Thanks for taking the time to chat with with me.I am looking forward to the video from the trip.
Nice bumping into my man!
Please do not watch this video until I post mine next weekend. Faithfully yours,
Jontario
Xander's video is so long that I won't finish watching this one in time of release of your's Jon.
But I will watch both of them to see different perspectives of trip 😁💪
its like handing out free cookies in a kindergarden and ask em to not eat them for a week .... sorry jontario , cant do ...
I promise to sleep through Xander’s video so I don’t ruin the surprise.
But we love watching both of your videos :)
Shoot. Too late. Sorry Jontario.
OMG YOUR LIP! I’ve never laughed so hard and felt so bad for someone at the same time in my entire life. 😂😂 I’m glad the Benadryl kicked in.
No time stamp is hilarious

LMAOff. You are so funny and handsome, even with a fat lip.😂
The lip, OMG, its just..... too freakin funny.

I couldn't stop laughing... every time he pointed the camera on his face I just couldn't hold myself 🤣🤣🤣
"My lip has never been in my peripheral vision before."
That was a true LOL moment. Omg that was funny. Glad he’s ok though, was looking like it maxed out there for a second 😂

The LIP! I'm laughing out loud. You two have captured the spirit of Commaradarie while on an adventure. Great entertainment.

Love how he acknowledged we fall asleep 😭, these videos are the only thing that helps me sleep at night
The long canoeing trips with Jon are for sure my favorite content on the channel.

Longer than a movie and way more enjoyable. That last campsite was amazing. I could spend 3 days on that lake alone.
Few things are as relaxing a viewing as a long multi day xander trip in mixed rainy weather. I genuinely smile watching these.
Would love to see "Cooking at home with Xander" - preparing your food fir the trips.
Pizza take twenty
it will be xander cooking a lot of asparagus 😅
Yea!! A new Xander video & with Jon to boot... so happy 😊

Another exciting adventure with Xander and Jon! Incredibly beautiful country you guys have up there. I'm so jealous! Thanks for taking us along. Cheers from Alabama!
Yep that CN train… I took it plenty of times from Mtl to Vancouver. Great times. Will do it again one day
Nothing better than a fresh walleye shore lunch!! Just got back from two weeks fishing in Ontario. Miss it already!! But hopefully back in September!
Nothing better on the tube than a parent / child video 😝with you two by yourselves Y’all’s stuff is the best!
Bro this is one hilarious video that lip bite had me absolutely hysterical, even my son who’s 3 was watching and he went to get a drink and pretended he had a swollen lip absolutely hysterical 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣brilliant video!!
