I had my dial tone changed to 432 Hz also. I love my Mandala it’s a 20 inch scale. I actually bought a octave mandolin from China and could not get it to tune well so I bought some Mandola light strings and tuned as a Mandola and it really sounds great. It’s a Pango I would be interested in knowing anybody else out there purchased this instrument and how they ended up setting it up.
So are the 2 strings in each of the 4 courses tuned to the SAME octave pitch? This would make it quite different from the bottom 4 double octave courses on a 12-string guitar - and would be a revelation to me!
Each course (two strings next to each other) are tuned to the same pitch. A 12 string guitar also has a course of two strings, which are tuned to the name note, BUT an octave apart. MANDOLA each string course are tuned to the same octave :)

Nice!
…my hometown dial tone back in the analog phone days was A 440 so your closest tuner was the nearest phone when caught in a pinch…LOL
Cool!!!!!!!
So was mine, til I called the phone company and asked them to change it to 432 so we could all relax a bit ;-)

@BeauHannamGuitars Wow, I didn't know! Good thing I happened to see this before moving on plans to make my own version. Same with mandolins then?
@@roughcutguitars yep. But you could string up the two bass courses like a 12 string for a different sound.
