The best thing about all pikmin games being on switch isn't just that new people can experience the franchise but also that I finally have new blind playthroughs to watch of one of my favourite game series.
I had never played a Pikmin game before, but I played the pikmin 4 demo and now I’m obsessed with pikmin lol. I’m so glad every pikmin game is now playable on switch, I’m probably gonna play them all.
It's absolutely insane to see someone know that whistling works but refuse to use it. I don't think I've ever seen someone do that before. Absolute madlad
Something I didn't appreciate about Pikmin until playing Pikmin 4 demo is how little talking and exposition there is and how quickly it gets to exploration. The pilots in 4 are SOOOO chatty

This is one of my favorite games ever. These games are pure magic. They look cute but are absolutely brutal. They get even better when replayed and you start optimizing your routes.

Pikmin is such an underrated franchise! I will say after playing all three versions of Pikmin 1, it is still a little rough around the edges with controls and the pikmin AI. If you're playing the whole series, I think you would like 2 and 3, especially with how easy 3 is to have co-op play turned on and off if Meg wants to join.

I own Pikmin 3 Deluxe, but I never got around to playing more than the tutorial. I've been meaning to get back and just start from the beginning again, but I was wondering if Pikmin just wasn't for me. I think it _is_ for me. I just need to dedicate some time to really get into it.
Pik 3 is really fun, it isn't particularly long either, even if you want to grab every piece of fruit (which I would recommend doing). I'd also recommend playing hard, as then you will immediately unlock ultra spicy mode without a second playthrough, and also hard feels much more balanced and less of a breeze than normal. But obviously, you should play and do whatever sounds fun to you 👍

as someone who played this on gamecube those many years ago and rebought them on switch. the lacfk of whistle use this first day hurts me so so so much.
We should have taught him the controls at the beginning because when i see him pick up the pikmin without the whistle, it hurt me a lot as a pikmin veteran. And yes because when he hears the name (spoiler just in case) 'hocotate' he will be like this🤨

You can't actually get softlocked in this game. Once the day would have ended the single yellow Pikmin would have died from staying outside during the night. Then on the next day the yellow Onion would have given you another yellow Pikmin seed to start creating more yellow Pikmin. The Onions will always give you one new Pikmin seed if you happen to lose all Pikmin of a certain type.
That yellow pikmin could have been saved. Though, you would have been unable to break down that wall on that day. I’ll leave it at that since it seems you wanted to figure it out on your own (totally respectable)
you wanna go in blind, I can respect that. but when you get to 2 Id be happy to tell you what all the collectibles were in the gamecube version, because the censorship kinda affects the lore for reasons I will not spoil

I heard this is fun to watch and while i am enjoying myself. I find i have too much of a stick up my bum about the little things hes "doing wrong". Like when he touches each pikmin instead of just calling them. I have to tell myself not to worry. Hell figure it out.

Dude. You are playing really well for a completely blind playthrough. You crushed those enemies where a lot of people really struggle. The throwing your only yellow Pikmin over the rock wall was definitely unfortunate tho lol. Never seen that happen. Either way, loved this and will definitely watch the whole series if it happens!
