    I would really caution individuals against spending a lot of money on golf balls until you are a single-digit handicap/can starting breaking 80. And even then, you have to be a pretty good ball striker to tell the difference a lot of the time.
    This is the first year for me, getting down to a 7.8 handicap. I finally have access to a golf simulator in my apartment building now, and hit ~100 practice half-shots per day. It's the first time after 25 years of playing that I've truly been able to compress the golf ball and launch it low like the pros. Only now can I really start to tell the difference in flight between high/low spin, hard/soft, and high/low launch golf balls.
    Just my two cents! Most people's money is probably better spent on ~100 range balls a day learning how to compress them than "Premium" balls for twice the money

      As a mid handicap myself, I have found a difference in performance between premium and cheap balls 😊 I’ve broken 80 once.
      The main goal for my golf ball videos is education - for me and the viewer 😊 there are cheaper options to premium golf balls that most don’t consider and I’m trying to find all of them 💪🏻
      The hex golf ball right now has one the best price to quality ratio! Right up there with Srixon Z-Star XV!

    I've played 3 full rounds with prov1 yellow and still playing with it next round. The ball holds up really well.

    I was very impressed with your review - it was thorough, well reasoned and helpful. As a result, I’ve become a subscriber. Please keep the ball reviews coming since the only equipment golfers are apt to change quickly is the ball. Thank you!

      Such a great comment to read! Really appreciate the feedback Patrick 😊 are there any golf balls you want to see me test? 🤔

      @@TKGolfYT Hi Tap, thank you for asking. Yes, I would be grateful if you would do a comparison of TP5X, Pro V1 Left Dash, and the Chrome Tour. All three have relatively low spin off the driver and I think many duffers choose lower spinning balls to gain greater distance and reduce the likelihood of hooks and slices. Yet we want our balls to grip onto the greens, and that is why we use premium balls. I realize you just reviewed the Chrome Tour but it would be helpful to compare it head-to-head with the other two. Thank you for considering this!

    Wow that HEX balls for me .. I can buy 3 dozen equal to that Chrome tour

    I’d be wary of the hex in summer on hard greens but looks like a great winter ball for a fast swinger

      I think it’s going to be worth giving a go 🤔 it just the cover holding it back I think 🤷🏼‍♂️ which is why the lob wedge results aren’t great!

    i have tried this test myself, although it was not as intensive as yours but, the results were the same. The one thing I did notice about the cheaper balls is the feel of them after about 1-1/2 rounds. They suddenly feel a little harder and they start to give unreliable results soon after that. Other than that, if you think about it, so what. Even if you throw away the ball after say 2 rounds it is still cheaper than using the more expensive ones. Great video.

      Really appreciate the feedback 😊 I think the durability of the cheaper balls will come into play when they’ve seen a few bunkers and hit a few trees 🤔 but like you said, they are more economical if the performance is good enough 😊

    So far it seems like the speedsoft from taylormade is the best for me I would like to see what the actual numbers are.

      Speed soft, not sure I’ve hear of that one 🤔 there a hell of a lot more golf balls I need to test 😂

  • @keyrin3216

    I am honestly skeptical with the credibility of the result. Because with the ionomer cover from Hex, there is no way it spins as much as the Chrome tour. Maybe it is your launch monitor that can't read the spin correct.

    • @TKGolfYT
      @TKGolfYT  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Spin isn’t just created by the cover 🤷🏼‍♂️ or all urethane covers would spin the same amount 🤔

    With really high speed swingers like the pros - the cheaper balls that spin way less using driver will tend to knuckle a bit much and not get the right launch into the air. This can cause some nasty dive bomb hooks and lower carry distances.

      To be fair… I think even I was seeing that with the Hex ball 🤔

    That isnt true you missed one huge factor that i seen in the few shots you showed. The Hex seemed to be much further off line and that is a big factor and has to do with the reduced spin. I would for sure sacrifice a little distance for a straighter ball

    • @TKGolfYT
      @TKGolfYT  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very interesting input 🤔 I wasn’t taking a huge amount of notice of the direction. Nothing was standing out as bad to be to be honest! The straightest shot of the day though was with the hex 👀

  • @ddeboy002
    @ddeboy002 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Not accurate-depends on the irons you're using. If you're using distance irons the ball will roll 20 yards more with a 7 iron-pros and elite players want to hit a distance and have it stop not roll. Therefore, chrome soft would be a better choice.

      @TKGolfYT  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      From the data though, with my 7i, the Hex was spinning more with a similar descent angle… suggest that it would stop better than the chrome tour 🤔

    Buddy, you are using a mevo+ this device needs rct golf balls to calculate spin. Which is the biggest difference between those 2 balls. You basically just uploaded a video to show the world you know nothing about golf data. Congrats.

    • @TKGolfYT
      @TKGolfYT  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Needs RCT balls 😂 the mevo plus was accurate before RCT balls, it’s accurate after RCT balls 😊 all you have to do is put the metallic dot on the balls and you’re good to go 🤷🏼‍♂️ don’t get me wrong, you get less miss reads with RCT balls… but the trick I have up my sleeve with miss reads… just delete them from the data pool and re-hit it 😉
