*Correction time* Yu Huang can have up to 13 passive stacks, that thing that lights up in the middle of Yu Huang's passive meter is an extra passive stack, and you get it by not taking or doing damage for 3 seconds. Can't believe i forgot about that lol mb.
Oh and also when i talk about his passive basic attacks and said "you won't be basic attacking the wave because of his first ability", it's supposed it say "you won't be basic attacking the wave MUCH", i cut the word "much" out by accident and it shifted the tone of that, you still totally wanna use those passive basic attacks while you have them
Lastly as i'm sure you saw, the 1 fires from 4 directions inward, and has the AoE damage in the entire circle, so you get more damage the closer you hit the enemy to the center of the ability. I skipped explaining all of this because it kinda of overcomplicates the ability, since you still end up aiming it in the same way as most circle AoEs. Still could've mentioned it tho

Thanks for doing the commentary during the combos. I liked it! The rest of the tutorial was very well done as well. The amount of work you put into these is impressive.

Probably a strange thing to hear, but thanks for explaining the combos. I'm trying to avoid gods that do higher APM stuff. Yu Huang is off my list after a game and going to look it up here.
Your channel is great. Thanks for making all the guides.
(I have chronic pain/fatigue issues and have been narrowing down my list to OTP worthy gods that fit my criteria, Yu Huang was my last one left for the mage class. Mages are out now.)

That's interesting, i'm glad i have a resource that's useful to you in a niche way. Have you tried gods like Kukulkan, Scylla, and Thoth? They aren't very spammy at all

Whoops, that's long on mobile: I tried those 3. Tested all 126. Current favs are Surtr, Hachiman, Serqet, Loki. Most interested in the Jungle role and dueling/self sufficiency.
      Long explanation:
Yeah I've tried everyone now. Those are good options.
Insofar as what I've liked the most out of all 126 is Loki, Serqet, Surtr, and Hachiman.
I might try those three you mentioned again, but I was worried that they involved a lot of ability spam.
Thoth might be a good option now that I remember it, he buffs his autos. Just not confident I could always do the dash well, and that would bother me. I hate learning something and then my body fails me and I know I "should" have hit something but I just didn't.
I like Tyr but Surtr beat him out because of less comboing, Tyr is smooth but requires really fast switching to go between stances and so on.
Hachiman is the only Hunter I really like. Cupid is a bit fun but I prefer Hachiman.
I'm basically only mainly interested in Jungle as a role. But obviously I'll end up playing others. Probably Mid or Solo. I want to be self sufficient as much as possible during a match. And I want to duel someone rather than rely on setup or help from my team.
Loki I really like but idk if I may have to avoid him due to higher APM.
Serqet is super interesting. Her passive is antithetical to weaving autos and I like that she has stealth and her 3 isn't part of the main combo/ability chains.
For the record I actually really enjoy fast paced kits, but physically it's not tenable for me. I loved playing Draven in League but would run into sessions where physically I couldn't keep up and stay on rhythm with his playstyle and would miss stuff I didn't think I should have. The longer the session went the worse it got. That's inevitable, but super intense kits like Susano fot instance are an any% speedrun to not being able to play well during that match/needing to stop.
I messed around with Susano and I understand how his 1 combos work, but actually being able to do them every time I play without strain or other problems is just not realistic.
So it's a bit of a struggle to find a balance.
Thanks for the mage recommendations btw. I'll look back into those 3 a little bit.

@@Shenmoki Ah just realized you said they aren't very spammy. I'll definitely try those three. Also on the Thoth dash comment I made - I think I may be overthinking how often he actually uses it.

    • @zozihn8047

Sorry for the essays. One more thing is yeah I said dueling, but my criteria for "can it duel?" is more like "can it blow someone up consistently?" assuming you play it well.
I like all the gods I listed because they can delete someone or box, assuming you don't miss. With Hachiman specifically he is what I would consider to be the quintessential ranged kit:
massive damage, safe, steroid/poke, range buff (super rare, maybe only Thoth also does that), with versatile mobility as well
In short, by my playstyle, if I don't miss, you should be dead 99% of the time.
If the kit can never do that or can't do it without help then I'm not interested.

@@zozihn8047 No problem i think this is interesting. I was thinking that hunters may be more down your route, especially the simpler ones like Apollo, Neith, and Rama who mostly just Basic attack and occasionally use abilities, and don't really have combos where they need to execute abilities back to back quickly. Bakasura also seems good since you basically just press 3, 4 and hold down the basic attack button lol.

yeah it's weird asf and takes a lot of practice. Just dont be afraid to just let it loose sometime with minimal aim, Overthinking is your worst enemy in a moba

Is this still useful for season 10

    • @Shenmoki
      @Shenmoki  ปีที่แล้ว +2

yeah i'd say so, the extra things to know would be to go claw shard at the start of the game, then the best mage build now would be like sands of time, book of thoth, divine ruin, soul gem, soul reaver, obsidian shard.
