- The Astra Militarum descends upon a chaos besieged world in order to liberate it through pure body count! This was an 8 hour campaign we ran over the weekend that I've condensed for your viewing pleasure in a rather concentrated summary of the nearly 2000 players deaths that occurred!

That guardsman firing at close range into the space marine through the mist was me. I was full on executed

@@Voron_Aggrav I'm not sure I did! I swam across the water just as the space marine ran up to the river so I got up next to him and unloaded at close range. But the space marine knocked me down onto the floor unconscious and then finished me off with one bolter round.

yes, thankfully you outnumber him 100-1 and have enough firepower to literally burn the air itself (you may die from that, as you are but a squishy human, but so what, the imperium's birth rate is a blessing and a curse.

The even more Guardsman thing is running away, informing the individuals who havent started to retreat yet that their odds were better running away, and then realizing that the odds were so bad of them even surviving that retreat that through sheer cowardice, they actually tried to face the fucker.
Transhuman dread, it's a thing.
The fact you were able to see the Marine is already a great thing you can take pride in. Space Marines can keep up in speed with Eldar, and Eldar are said to be so fast in combat that unaugmented humans usually can't see more than a blur.
Just seeing the chaos space marines in the mist is horrifying

4:53 Multilasers: Statwise, not the scariest thing on the tabletop. Much, much more intimidating when they're erasing your entire squad in the middle of the night.

They used to be quite good a couple of editions back (maybe more than a couple), or at least they served a purpose.
To be fair, the 'flashlight' is a lot less funny when put into theoretical IRL as well. 40k is just so ridiculous that a nearly limitless magazine with light armor-piercing qualities that can be charged in the sunlight and requires even less than an AK to maintain doesn't sound as good when you give 10 to a bunch of guys and go 'now shoot this Carnifex.'

This video is a tad more high octane than usual because I ended up getting the bug to do some edits I've been wanting to do for a good awhile. @@dustinatkinson5744 An easy way to tell the difference is warhounds have canine-style legs and heads, and *no* weapon on their backs. Reavers and Warlords have more humanoid legs, and shoulder armor. Reavers have flattened heads (which I dislike the look of.), and warlords have heads that resembles a knight's helmet.

This seems pretty accurate of what guardsmen fighting chaos space marines would be like. Maybe not exactly but the fear and the helplessness of fighting astartes as a human is accurate.
