Hiya I used to work here as a WW2 tunnel guide and I still live in the town,
honestly pricing does depend on the type of ticket you would like to use so I hope Listing a variety that the castle offers can help give you a rough idea, do bear in mind the castle is currently closed due to COVID 19 and all these prices can be subject to change 😊
a standard adult day ticket for one person is £18.70 with gift aid and £17 without gift aid,
a Day family ticket (2 adults and 3 children) is £48.70 with gift aid and £44.20 without gift aid.
If yourself or a member of your group is a student with a valid student ID, or over the age of 65 you can receive a discount called a concession ticket for one person which is £ 16.90 with gift aid and £15.30 without gift aid.
English heritage is a charity that cares for historic sites all over the country so if you are a uk taxpayer making a small voluntary donation of gift aid on your ticket greatly helps them to care for these sites and keep them available for our future generations.
If you are planning ahead to visit in the future and think you might want to see Dover castle and then say maybe Deal Castle and Walmer Castle as well or even Battle abbey in Hastings Sussex I strongly recommend that you register on site for the annual membership especially if visiting with a family because it can save you so much money if you want to see multiple sites. sometimes on they run promotional offers as well where you can get 15 months for the price of 12.
