    Yes, I’m going to check out Hua Hin this summer. As much as I like the northern mountains, I would like sometime to try seaside life. Thanks for the info.

      @@AllAboutLifeInThailand Yes! Because Hua Hin (WHo-ah Hin) is spelled with ห (a high-class consonant) it is pronounced with a rising tone. So most Farangs and some Thai people only here and repeat "wa" . And they end up saying "Wha-Hin". They miss the beginning of the syllable "who-ah" and just say, Wa-Hin. I am not a Thai speaker but I can read and write it with knowledge of most of the grammar rules.

      That's what I thought and must admit that 12 years ago when I arrived, I too thought it was wah hin.

      It's a nice town but does it's not for everyone. I could live there, but I prefer the cooler north.
