For anyone with a G, the coolant bleeder is cheap plastic that can break on you and strip when doing maintenance, Z1 offers an aluminum bleeder for around $30+ worth the peach of mind.
Bro I'm happy to see you coming up on these good flips. I remember few videos back you losing money with that other G and now your coming back up with them big flips. Congrats man 👌
Crazy I just discovered you definitely gained a new sub and recently got a G myself, she needs a new heart so ima get her into surgery tomorrow! Keep the content rolling
The exact same thing happened to me! Got my G for $1500 because the owner took it to a backyard mechanic who said it needed “too much” changed the thermostat and bled the system car ran amazing!
I like your channel keep up the good work love the videos I’m thinking of getting a g35 after watching your videos makes me want to get the car more...
Makin quick money man I'm thinking of starting to flip them too they don't go for too much around me and I'm pretty mechanically inclined like you so just leave them running good and should sell quick. Also I actually have a g35x I changed the front end lower & upper arms tie rod ends ball joints and hub assemblies all new, also tires and pads and rotors but at around 60+ the front passenger side kind of wobbles also on lower speeds going over bumps it feels as if something is loose on the passenger front I double checked everything and all is in great shape now ofc so idk what else it can be alignment and everything is good as soon as I get that figured out its going up for sale.
Bro I have the same problems even after I got new rims new tires and alignment I think the problem is your wheel bearing hub after you fix that you should be good try it and lmk bro hope it helps
@@benboyett2421 The whole front end js new bro, both hubs assemblies, both upper and lower arms, both sway bar links, both inner & outer tie rods both lower ball joints both sides pads & rotors with ceramic brakes and new tires. The only thing I haven't changed is the compression arms I think thats the problem I was reading forums and bad compression rod symptoms is exactly what the car feels like
The Coolant thank is a overflow tank when the vehicle overheats the Coolant goes into the tank you should fill the radiator up with the bleeder valve open. Once it's filled properly Coolant will spill from the bleeder port
That was an awesome find man you’re Supper lucky, btw what was that hissing sound on the car? I can hear it on mine and i now for sure it’s not the coolant
Feel like I might have the same issue but my engine isnt over heating or throwing up any codes but definitely sounds like the radiator is over working its self, I rev the car and I just continues to get louder. Do you have any idea on what it could possibly be? everything seems to be fine but the radiator just gets way to loud or something in that area
Question 🤦🏻♂️ I have g35 as well and my ride will run hot after 20 mins of driving but when I turn the heater on the temperature goes down. It's seems to run hot faster when air-conditioned is on 😫
hey brotha would you happen to know why the G35 dies at idle after doing the thermostat change to mishimoto thermostat i also changed the radiator its weird beacuse when i unplug the maf sensor it idles but its in limp mode cant go past 2500rpm also i didnt bleed the car properly it still blows cold air out the heater i got fan wites wet wit coolant please help
Restart your ECU. Whenever mine starts shifting weird or not wanting to accelerate, I restart the ECU and it seems to fix my issues until the next time I drive it. - Put keys in and turn so the lights turn on - Wait 3 seconds - pump gas 5 times fast - Count/Wait 10 seconds - hold gas pedal down 10 secs - take foot of gas pedal and wait/count 10 seconds. - hold gas pedal for 10 seconds - turn off and take keys out -Turn on the Car and the ECU should be reset...
The car ran and drove so I didn't see the point of getting a tow if I could save the cash plus it gave me a good idea of what kind of work it needed so I can fix it the next day
Hey broski Im literally dealing with this after changing my radiator, the bottom was wasn't getting warm so I swapped the thermostat and still the bottom hose doesn't get warm Do I just have a bunch of air in my system Car been running perfect for almost 2 years, maintenance is always up to date
Great video, my 2004 G35 started to overheat so I took it in to a mechanic to get it fixed, he replaced the thermostat and radiator, once I left the mechanic shop I drove one mile and it started overheating again and now he is saying the problem might be the head gasket and I need to replace my engine, I'm the original owner, does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE Thank you, when I have the car on in park it takes over 20 minutes before it starts to heat up but if I drive the car over 4 miles then it starts to overheat
6:35 was the only time I didn't use Jack stands and I was not under the vehicle I was replacing the wheel bearing but yes I agree always use jack stands

If I open my bleeder valve should I see coolant there? My resovoir is getting a little higher. When I unsecured it I don't see any liquid there.

I’ve bought a g with a missing thermostat it lasted me like 2 months cause it did have a blown head gasket 👌
when you buy these cars to sell how do you get the title back so fast? I’ve been waiting for months

I used to spill CV coolant nowvim spilling tran fluid

Thanks man! And It was overheating so it was steam coming out of the overflow tank you could have a vacuum leaks which sounds similar
Just replaced my thermostat had the same problem ig I’ll see if that fixes my issue if not where else should I look? I have fresh coolant
Make sure to take all the air out of the system

The radiator just holds coolant so it should make a noise unless it has a leak

Check for air in the system or a bad thermostat

Did it throw a code too? And was it p0128?
No that's probably because you don't have a thermostat
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE it doesn’t over heat or anything though my temp gauge works too could it be stuck open?
1300 dollars you should have gotten it towed, why don't you have AAA. That car is clean. Good find
