At 140k miles it's just about time for a $2500 water pump job. Seriously, those are sweet rides (my next door neighbors have one), the internal timing chain driven water pump would be the biggest drawback for me. Keep an eye on the weep hole which is right near the alternator.
Yeah got this exact color 2019 Limited. Also have a 2011 SEL(Green). And we absolutely 💯 love both but yeah engine issues started at 180K(1st) and now 2nd @127K seems to need new seals already. But nevertheless my wife and I just can't get enough FLEXi comfort!!! 2025 BRONCO or.Explorer maybe next.
Interesting how things vary across the nation. I have a 2018 Flex SE, bought new with no options at all. I bought it because it was the only new one I could find without the Ecoboost engine and all wheel drive. All of them around here have those options. Only 28,000 miles so far, but we love it. Well, other than the Hankook tires that came on it. They started chunking at 16,000 miles so I put a set of Michelins on it.
Just change coolant to the new spec ford yellow next time you flush it avd full synthetic every 5k, PTU oil flush too and these engines go 200k-300 no problem
That is one they could bring back now and probably do well with it.
I drove it for a few years. It was great!

I’m trying to figure out how to replace the aging Flex. Maybe an Aviator. Tough call.
Thanks for watching.
What would a 140,000 mile vehicle be without a CEL? I agree that the SEL trim level was the sweet spot for Ford’s of that era.

You won't think it is so great when you have to replace the water pump soon! $3,000 - $4,000 labor on a $80 part! Heck ya! GREAT CAR!
Nah it's about 2k tops sure it's the one thing this car has but once you get that done should be good for another 200k
@@Jeschitown I highly doubt that.
@@danr4197 my buddy had it done for 1900$ in the Chicago area, phasers, vcts, timing chain, water pump ect
@@Jeschitown It depends on where you go, who you know and maybe even who you blow! 😨

Thanks for the information!
What engine is it. Do you have the turbo?
It had the 3.5 liter Duratec V6, no turbo. Thanks for watching.
Mark Wahlnerg owns GM dealerships. HA HA
2000 ?
I definitely misspoke at the beginning of the video and noted it in the description. Oops.
