  • John Deere 3032E, 2038R, 1025R and Ventrac 4500 test drive by our friend Levi. Tractor Time with Tim gives Levi the opportunity to use each of our tractors to see which one he likes the best. He also gets to use the Artillian sectional grapple first with one grapple/2 rakes then with 2 grapple sections and one rake in the middle to evaluate which one he things would work best on his property for the projects he has in mind. Finally Levi mows with the Ventrac on our little hill.

    I really appreciate the candor and honesty when you are doing comparisons between the 1, 2 and 3 series. We've seen an excellent front end loader comparison. I would really be interested in seeing a comparison regarding the 3-point capabilities of the 1, 2 and 3 series. I have a small parcel of ground I'm developing for wildlife. For me personally, I need a tractor that can handle farm implements. The spec's on the John Deere web site are helpful, but it is more interesting watching you and your crew put the tractors through their paces. The assessments you provide are very helpful!

    That floating push mower reminds me of the old Hoover canister vacuum that floated on a cushion of air. My dad worked on vacuum cleaners on the side. He loved working in the garden and driving his Kubota tractor. He lost his left leg as a young man, so ally tractor we had growing up had a piece of rebar welded to the clutch pedal. The Kubota had hydrosyatic drive. Keep up making those videos.

    Earlier I requested a video pertaining to the Mauser Cab on my 1025R. You replied that you didn't have access to a Mauser cab. That's ok. But I found out how to do what I wanted and thought you might like to know too.. The access to the switches etc. in the headliner can be accessed by simply removing the top of the cab. Four bolts hold it on and when removed you will find all the wiring, switches and heating and windshield wiper equipment. From that point you can add additional switches and wire for things like a rear work light aux elec connections for rear mounted equipment.
    PS: you videos provide priceless information, Thanks!

    Looks like Levi had a great time and nothing like actually trying things to know what works best for an individual's needs. I think he could have gotten that tree out if you added some "cheese burger challenged" weight on the heavy hitch.
    Levi would need the extra Ventrac wheels for his place!
    Cut the berm down and add it around the pond to build it up so it will hold more water.

    Picked up my 3025E a couple weeks ago. Grapple is on it's way as well. So far I have made enough money to make 3 months of payments in two weeks. We bought it as a business investment and equipment for my land clearing when we close. Average rate for 1 acre of land here is 12k to clear. I could get mine with all the implements I need for around 24k the 2032R was going to be close to 29.5k. So far so good, the hydraulics seemed very touchy when I first got it, just have 10 hrs now. Either I am getting use to it or it is starting to break in a bit. Love it.

    There’s a small bracket mounted on top of the bucket it connects to the rear of bucket. It’s 3” or so on both top n rear. That’s your level indicator. A perfect 90degree is level. Or lift bucket up to see n level it then smack your loader control to float position.

    They delivered my GC1723EB last Tuesday. Instead of a diverter valve, I’m going to fabricate a mount that clamps onto the ROPS, and add a 3-spool valve that connects in the same location in the circuit that the backhoe does. That’ll give me outputs for a grapple or clamshell; as well as outputs for a top link cylinder and a spare for anything I’ve got on the 3 point hitch. 🤔

    Hey Tim. I am in the process of ordering a artillian grapple for my 2025R thanks to your videos. I qas going to get the frontier but really like the mod factor of the artillian. I have the 3rd function already. Do i need anything else to run 2 clamps? Thanks for your time and response

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Call artillian. You'll need their splitter manifold, and some short hoses to connect to your 3rd function. ...assuming you are getting two clamps like I have. if getting only one clamp, you should have everything you need. ...cept for maybe a coupler gender incompatibility.

    Received my tooth bar Thursday. Simple to mount and looks great. I haven't used it yet, but have a great job coming up where I'm sure it'll be very handy.
    Curious, did you mount yours with the included set screws or did you use hex bolts? I'm concerned that the set screw will fill with dirt and that might make removal of the tooth bar difficult.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  5 ปีที่แล้ว

    TTWT,
    Is it fair to compare a 2R to a 3E? I understand that is what you had available, but could you speculate that if you had had a 2R and a 3R that the comparison would have been more favorable?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh my goodness! A 3R would smoke a 2R! 3R is a huge step up.
      I think it is fair to compare 2R to 3E because this is the buying decision lots of folks are making. It seems logical to think that a ‘3’ is more capable than a 2. However, the specs do not agree with that assessment, nor do my tests.
