  • My first endometriosis symptoms happened in high school. The endometriosis pain that I felt was excruciating. Endometriosis flare-ups can take us down to our knees. They can feel as though our body is giving up on us. Endometriosis is a complex and painful chronic condition that makes us look at our own internal strength at times. I hope you enjoy this video that explains everything that happened before, during, and after my first endometirosis flare-up.

I had a similar experience in high school. I had such a painful period in the 9th grade that I was just curled up in a ball on the floor in the band room. My boyfriend at the time just sat with me and held me until my mom came to get me. I was in tears and the whole thing caused a massive migraine on top of it. But in my family, all the women experienced painful periods. So we didn't go to the hospital (also, I'm from the US so hell no). My mom just said something along the lines of, 'I'm sorry you're going through this, but welcome to bad periods'. We went to doctors together and she advocated the best she could, but we had always been told that that was unfortunate, but normal. It's now 20 years later and I have finally been diagnosed with stage 2 Endo and adenomyosis. Why'd I have to suffer for 20 years? Why do any of us have to suffer like that?

I'm so sorry to hear that you had a similar experience. We're all extremely strong individuals for going through what we do with endometriosis pain and endometriosis symptoms! Hope you have a flare-free day!

That's the worst part for me is that I always have the feeling of needing to go to the bathroom at the same time as the pain, when you can't bend or sit to begin with, much less push the pain is so intense but once you get started you also can't stop 😖😩😭

Definitely not alone in that feeling! I find that all the cramping pushes thing around - causing a need to be near a bathroom! Hope you're doing well in your journey
