The original face after taking the acetone to it looked creepily like Liberace, the camp 70s pianist. Quite a challenge to make it look anything like Britney.

Omg same. Doll art was something I'd never have said I was 'into' but now it's such a relaxing comfort watch- and sometimes inspires me to sketch more often which is a fringe benefit.

I really appreciate how you went out of your way to find a doll that wasn’t in collectible condition, just because it was so old and you know some people would be heartbroken if they saw a pristine copy of their favorite childhood toy be changed, or for collectors who love the originals for whatever reason. Instead you found a doll in need of a well-deserved makeover and made her perfect!

Love you chose her. I was a HUGE Britney fan back then and everyone always got me different Britney stuff, still have these original dolls in their boxes so I’m excited to see the end result.
It's amazing how the same head mold can look so vastly different when properly painted and shaded!! My only critique is that her hair is darker/a little more red in that video. But I still love this doll and you did an amazing job! I hope Brittney sees it!

I remember when this doll was on the shelves when I was a kid. I never thought it looked like Brittany. Your makeover is amazing! She actually looks like Brittany! I was sceptical about the yarn hair at first too until you had it all on and started braiding, it looks so real!
Britney turned out a hundred million times better! She looks like Britney now and her outfit is gorgeous! I think the hair was done like that because the makers didn't expect people to play with them just like the 75th anniversary barbie you worked on last year!

I have to admit, the face ended up much much better than I thought it would! It was a very unflattering face sculpt and I admit partway through the process I wasn't sure you'd be able to make it work... but when you started pencilling in the teeth I realized you'd absolutely smashed it!

Honestly, I think this might be your best doll yet. Especially of ones that are supposed to look like real people. You’re always spot on but this one is like SCARY good. That doll mold was awful but you REALLY made it look EXACTLY like her. Like that could just be a photo of Britney.

I remembered when my 30 year old daughter wanted that Britney doll. I told her I'll buy you a regular Barbie. You made this major needed help Britney and major update. She really started looking like Britney when you did the faceup I seen her then the hair took it over the top. Her outfit totally matched the video too.
