    Hi Thomas, can you please do a video on how to handle hair loss specifically after dieting, as I have just seen conflicting information in some other video saying you should eat more carbs and break ketosis to slow it down, which I'm sure would only prolong the stress on your body? Also maybe a breakdown on supplements and to help us pick out clean supplements for hair re-growth😊😊 Ive been doing keto 5 months ... losing weight is a shock on the body and Im losing lots of hair.

    Rich Roll talks about the abundance of energy he had after losing weight. That hat has been my experience, whether its mid-life it does not matter, you will have more energy than you need. I am not a vegan, I eat meat but after fasting and dropping weight I have much more energy.

    • @TheSeeking
      @TheSeeking 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thomas would advise to break fast with a small portion of lean protein, but haven't yet heard from him firmly regarding eating after sunset.
      Personal approach: OMAD for the whole month is best. Break fast with electrolyte water. No dinner. The elderly and the metabolically- compromised might not be able to pull it off, but if they do they would be completely transformed by the end of Ramadan. If I had a gun to my head and had to eat after Sunset, I would do a date or 3 (sunnah-compliant, but skip those mutant California medjool or deglet dates with 10 to 20 grams of sugar each; a cup of high-quality bone-broth or unsweetened natural yogurt made from coconut or raw dairy; and a tablespoon or two of C8 MCT oil to mitigate the insulin spike and stay ketotic). Down suhoor like a champ & try not to go back to sleep until after sunset. Sungaze for the first couple of minutes of sunrise to nail down the circadian rhythm & recharge the batteries. Resistance train EVERY DAY at moderate or low intensity to preserve muscle mass.

    Thomas,
    What’s a good routine utilizing cold, curcumin, and PQQ?
    Pre-workout: PQQ + green tea
    Post-workout: curcumin + sauna (5-10 min)
    Post-sauna: cold bath/shower
    Does that make good use of these ingredients?
    Thanks!

    Hello Thomas! I have a question about keto/fasting and training. My family and I are currently on keto diet, we practice 20/4 fasts and 24 hours fast once a week. We also train with weights. My question is regarding my cousin:
    She is 22 years old, height 169 cm, weight 58,5 kgs. She looks quite chubby though 😅 just started practicing IF 4 weeks ago, she is on low carb since January, during quarantine she trains 12 times a week (2 times a day 6 days a week=4 cardio workouts, 8 with weights). She eats about 1300-1500 cal a day two times a day. The problem is that she is not losing much weight or fat. Could it be that she is overtrained? Or what could it be that she be doing wrong? I am 36 years old, 160 cm, 48,7 kgs (lost 3,8 kilos in the last 4 weeks) i train weights 4-5 times a week 45 mins per time, I have very good results. But my cousin just seems to be doing something completely wrong 🤔

    I think the BMR and RMR calculation may not be even close to accurate for some people, especially if you have damaged your metabolism with bad diets. I do muscle toning, 15K steps a day, some jog some walk and am 43 and gaining weight on under 1200 calories a day. Fasting a long time makes my migraines come on but I guess feeling like death for 3 days will reduce my calories and maybe I'll burn more. I hate being a petite middle aged woman.

    I've been marathon watching the videos. I'm doing well with the fasting and OMAD. I have problems with the ACV. I have tried drinking it and putting it on salads. Either way, I immediately feel nauseous and feel like my entire gut is in spasms. It does not agree with me at all for some reason. Is there something else that I can do?

    Do you recommend combining PQQ with ubiquinol CoQ10? I'm 48 so I heard ubiquinol is the better form of CoQ10 as you get older and works with PQQ.

    • @optimizewithscience8883

      Yes, studies show that it does. There are two ways to prevent it, however: (1) Instead of always 30% deficit, fast on some days and feed on others and (2) go low-carb.
