Toyota Hilux 2.8 HiCruiser 40" tires & 35 cm suspension % fox & Dana 70
I decided that the most correct application should be 40 inch tires and at least 35 cm suspension oscillation. The next biggest problem was the car's original differentials. Because there is no final bevel for the new generation pick-ups and this prevented us from installing 40 inch tires. In addition, the fact that the front has a wishbone made us choose Dana60 at the front and Dana70 at the rear. We used 4.10 ratio final drive and added front-rear ARB airlock. In addition, we changed the rear axle from the drum to the disc brake.
We kept the steering wheel original and applied the same system that we used in our previous 40 inch Navara. We did not use full hydraulics because the vehicle is connected to the steering wheel with many sensors. We connected the differentials to the chassis using 4 levers at the rear and 5 levers at the front.
Our suspension choice was FOX. We have made it more suitable for adjustment by using double springs in each of the 12 inch suspensions. Efe's special request was a very special horn. For this, we negotiated with Horn Blaster and imported a special air horn for the vehicle and integrated ARB locks into this system. Since the horn's tank always maintains a pressure of 130psi, it can be locked in a tenth of a second.
RIVAL aluminum front-rear bumper and underbody protection set tactically imported to Katanarevo by OAT. The biggest feature of RIVAL is that it is light and at the same time robust. It is very important that it is light because otherwise the center of gravity of the vehicle would be too high. By painting the bumpers in body color, we gave the car a more urban look.
Since the vehicles we built were expanding, we were having a wide dok problem suitable for them, and we solved this problem by making what we call fiber. In addition to these, we used more modern headlights, stops and front grilles. We started to think of a name for the work we produced, and because it is a Japanese brand, we found the name Katanarevo by combining the word Katana, which is the name given to the sharpest swords in the world, and the Revo word of Hilux.
As OAT, we do 90 percent of all the assemblies of the projects we do in-house, but we always work with skilled craftsmen for jobs such as brakes, electrical installations and paint, which require a lot of seriousness.
