    On these tiny peds, 45 mph is already insane. I like that he utilized a GPS since, in my opinion, it is the most precise method (better than a radar gun).

    Hi Derek. How did you overcome any chain lash issues and or sprocket jumping? I see you are using tensioners of course, but does the 180 degree wrap around the primaries better serve to prevent skipping more so than heavy springs on the tensioners? Ive got two 4.5 horses on a razor but I haven't ben able to address the skipping, yet. Maybe 390cc is just asking too much? Any input would sure help. Nice build there by the way! Thanks.

      David Zuniga baby highside.

    • @BluntForceTrauma666
      @BluntForceTrauma666 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +David Zuniga It's a (usually) catastrophic front wheel "wobble" from side to side, sometimes extreme enough to hit the handlebar steering stops each way. Meaning the handgrips look like they are "slapping" the left and right sides of a motorcycle's fuel tank. Some pretty interesting physics describe it, but in general, it is caused when the front wheel loses contact with the pavement, becomes turned out of alignment with the rear wheel and finally comes back into contact with the pavement again. This very often results in a loss of control and a subsequent nasty crash...

  • @joshuabolin4440

    Why couldn't you just show the cars speedometer? You could have skipped all the cringey parts where you fumbled with the 2 GPS lol.

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      GPS is accurate, having 2 of them is very accurate. A car's speedometer can be manipulated by putting small spare tires on the drive wheels. That would show a much higher speed than the truth

    Anyone help with a build diagram? So 2x 4 stroke or 2 stroke engines. I see he started each engine separately. I see that the long chain goes through both engine sprockets and to wheel all in one chain. Specific question I have is how is the throttle wired up so when you twist the throttle does it make each engine rev up equally? How to setup the throttle portion? Again, awesome build. Ride safe.

  • @123DerekShort
    @123DerekShort  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    we have done just under 70 on flat ground. in this video is was just a quick 1 shot test run. 1 motor was halfway gone. meaning low compression. and the other was having issues opening full throttle. this ped is capable of 70mph no problem. don't trip a lil downhill is not adding that much... plus we are going into a head wind.
