randy that oldsmobile cutlass ciera is the best of the old GMs from the late 80s. My family had 4 of them and it was the best car our family ever owned. I plan to buy another one or two to be in my car collection because honestly Randy, these cars have also gotten our family through the worst times. So I know how you feel. I love them more than any other car my family owned aside from the 1973 Buick Gran Sport 350 my dad owned and the 1978 Plymouth Fury he had when I was a kid.

Had 1989 Olds Cutlass Sierra wagon with the "authentic" wood trim on the outside. What a great car. Here in Iowa, regardless of the snow, it went almost everywhere. Then the timing belt broke. Broke my heart

@J Shug - comparatively the H1N1, another virus but not the 'new' and improved virus of the year apparently and a big reason flu vaccines are questionable, already has a death toll of over 23,000 people in the states this year. Either way, stay safe, wash your hands and don't forget to keep your hiney clean either via single or double ply 😉👍

On the Lowes truck: "Do you think they took the gas out of it?" You know Randy, seeing as there was never GAS in it, I think it would be pretty difficult to take it out. Lol ;)

I think 1/4 = Empty is a GM thing. My truck was the same way. 1/4 didn't mean empty but that last 1/4 always went way faster than the first 1/4. So when I hit 1/4 I always started eyeing for a gas station becasue I knew the gas light wasn't far behind. So glad they finally abandoned those side terminals.

That is an Audi with potentially the 1.8 Turbo engine .. meaning it has the cam follower issue and when that self destructs the metal shavings end up in the engine potentially grenading the engine .. I know this since VW and Audis are pretty much my pet peeve lol
Anyhow Randy I hope this was helpful and u will see this message since all my previous messages have gone un acknowledged.

from the looks of the Audi it looks like they were gonna replace the head gasket because you would remove the head to change out the head gasket and if it was the timing chain you would have to remove the cover at the front of the engine

I just won a 300 dollar clean title mustang today with 85k miles and got it home on a trailer to find out the front breaks are stuck on. pads rusted to the rotors as the inspection expired in 2015 so it's been siting for at least 5 plus years. as it would of been inspected in 2014.
