Earbuds randomly stop working - Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 27 ก.ย. 2024
- I wanted to share an issue I recently faced with my Sennheiser earbuds. Unfortunately, one earbud stopped producing sound, which was quite disappointing. However, the touch controls still seem to be working perfectly fine. It's a bit of a bummer because I was really enjoying the quality of the earbuds up until this happened. Just wanted to let you all know about this in case you've faced a similar issue with your earbuds. Feel free to share your experiences or any helpful tips in the comments below.

Why is it always the left one?
My left died today. I don't know what to do. After 1 year of usage surrended...😠
Sent my back to amazon, the fixed but guess what left earbud still not working 😂 the refunded me!
my left one also malfunctioned.. producing no sound anymore but touch function still working 😢
My both stopped working after like a year or two of usage.
Seems like I’m joining the death earbud gang.
Disappointed to say the least, will be my last senheiser earbuds, lasted just a few months and don’t have a receipt
exact same problem here. i bought them and loved the sound quality, and i used them for gaming since they support aptx-LL and they were great. after 6 months, one earbud stopped working. i claimed warranty and received a brand new replacement pair. after 6 months as well, i was playing some games and they were fully functional, then i ended the gaming session and took a break, and put them in the case. a few hours later, i used them and found that the right earbud stopped working. i listened carefully and could hear a very faint tik-tik-sound in it, but no audio at all. resetting them didn't work.
Exactly the same here with me
Same thing happened to me! The touch controls and charging still worked but had no to very faint sound.
Same with me, what have you done to work around this problem*? It only started yesterday for me
@@joker_1193there's no workaround. i tried every possible solution and nothing worked. i claimed warranty and got a replacement from the merchant "not sennheiser"
To share with this community, seems to be a common problem. I had a pair and the left one stop working. I claim the warranty and got the replacement and just after few months the same issue again on the left one. There is nothing you can do with the trobleshooting instructions from Sennheiser. In both situations the "ticking" comes and goes and are the only audible sounds. I am hesitating to replace for other pair or even on-ear, it is a shame because the sound and functionalities when they are just great when they work. Other issue is the App "Smart Control" it fails a lot, which is other reason for my hesitations with Sennheiser even when I was a customer for more that 10 years with their products. At least with this model I will not recommend them.
2 years using them. The Left one finally crapped out. What a disappointing product when you consider how many people have this issue. Never buying Sennheiser again.
Hello, ive got the same problem. My right ear bud works with every function, but no Sound!
I didnt damaged or dropped them.
Was at work, listening music, after i put them back for 20 minutes and start listening again, it happened....
Found no help too, tried all resets and stuff...
Exactly the same here with me
I bought my CX TW more than a year ago, now the right earbud stopped working... :(
Same here. Right earbud do accept the touch commands and charges up but no sound at all but some clicking sounds. Huge deception because they sounded really good. Now I am changing to other brands.
Mine ( right one ) just died today. Controls work no sound
Same here, left earbud stopped working.
Got Jabra and it was fine. No issues. Upgraded to true wireless CX its constant problems. Left one allways discharged
My earbud died for the second time. First time it survived around 6 months, i returned it on guarantee and they send me new pair. New pair lasted like 5 months lol. I have headphones HD 450BT for the past like 3/4 years and they work just fine. It's a shame cuz earbuds have really good sound
probably the driver speaker shorts circuit & burns out, it happened to me on the sennheiser 4 right ear bud & such a good product too & i had them for a month barely, & it happen to me on the klipsch bluetooth speaker also when they where first starting out, the drive speakers burn out, i guess the inside component wares out quick…
I had a pair of cx plus that I got for Christmas and the left bud broke in the same way around 2 months of use so I sent them to Sennheiser and they sent me a new pair. Now again 6 months later, the same thing happened. I’m thinking of buying a pair of nothing ear (a) and sending my broken cx to Sennheiser and use the fixed cx as a backup.
Cx true wireless bought on April 8, 2022 (2 years and 3 months 🤬, warranty expired). For the past few days, I've been experiencing the same problem you described in your video (left side has no sound, touch and LED are working). Reset test done, tested on other devices (Windows PC, smartphone) done, factory settings reset also done... If this isn’t planned obsolescence, I don’t know what is.**

Let me know if you need any adjustments!
yep my left oe as also gone the same way , you can by another one but is it worth it ?
I've same issue here, the right one just do command and not hear anything.
Exactly the same
Yup, same here. My wife’s true wireless left bud died after 8 months. I’m here because I have older cx 400 earbuds which have lasted over 3 years but the right has no sound so looking for pairing solution as it seems to work and have power. I’ve already moved to Sony, but have to admit I preferred the sennheiser sound.
Just to add I’ve had sennheiser hd 440’s for years with no problems and great sound.
In less than 2 years it appens to me 4 Times, and Theo guarantee haver always give me new ones. But enought is enought, they are simply a bad product that should be out off The market.
Left one not working straight out of the box. Fuck Sennheiser
Same as my version 2 suddenly no sound on the left side yesterday !
My left earbud died yesterday and right earbud IS trying to sincronice so i cant use It either. Now im trying to repair It but i can find info online
I have literally gone through more than TEN sets of true wireless, and now CX+... All of them have randomly died on one side, half were dead on arrival. Very, very disappointed.
Same problem. I feel cheated.
my left one stopped working after a few months. got a replacement (it took a few weeks) due to varranty. a couple months later the left one failed again. i coped with it and just used the right one for about a year. Suddenly the left one was working again, hurray! 🎉 but now the right one has stopped working, im stuck on min volume with the left earpod and a cant change the input in the app because both earpods need to be connected... what a sh*** product!
Wow, like everyone in the comments, mine got same issues with the left buds. I bought mine direct feom sennheiser and the box mentions 2 year warranty. Mine is at 1 year and 3 months. Reported to sennheiser, no response
Time to ditch sennheiser. Shame, their audio signature is really great. But with their lousy after sales, better to move to another brand.
First of all, its best buds i ever tried. Have issue with no music playing. Found answer at reddit, that you have to coonect left, ant later right. That sloved the problem. I dont know what happened, but i woud buy them again
Sent my back to amazon, the fixed but guess what left earbud still not working 😂 the refunded me!
Same Problem.
My left earphone from the same model is very lazy, battery doesn't live longer and always goes off first than the rightone. Very expensive and bad quality brand!
Mine right one has suddenly stoped sounding a couple days ago. Now İ see its a common problem. Shoot.
Same here …
Bro my right one just busted today, only 6 months of use🤬
Had the same issue, tried some solutions from the answer below ("press both 20 seconds while in their case") but that didn't work. What worked for me was this: th-cam.com/video/vgLkB-mgW38/w-d-xo.html - turn off bluetooth from any nearby devices, have the non-working bud in the case, take out the other working bud from the case, press that for 10+ seconds, and then it did pair. Good luck!
Left one died :(
same here. I will never ever buy from this company anything
Same problem absolute fucking joke
Yup these keep dying on me. Garbage
Better to buy apple
I had the same problem. It happened on the left earbud. They were still under warranty so I received new ones from Sennheiser. But the new ones had that problem just from the start on the right earbud. So I returned them again and now I'm waiting for the solution. It looks like some construction issue. Earbud starts working again for a while after small pressure on the body when it's still in the ear. Apart from this issue I have to say they sound fantastic.
Same issue. Left earbud. Truly disappointed.
Left side died for no reason. Looks like I'm far from being alone here, maybe I should be happy to have a sense of belonging SOMEWHERE ...
My right just died yesterday for no reason😫
I saw your post and was so hopeful that someone had found a way around this! SO Disappointing, as I really loved these earbuds. What about all those posts that talk about reconnecting the earbuds to each other, has anyone found that to work? My left earbud still gets power, just no sound!
So I had the same left ear bud not working, however when I wear on a plane or in an elevator left starts working again, some sort of connection/interference issue, stops working again when I leave, anyone else have this?
same the left one stopped working . sennheiser should refund and sort the problem its obviously happening to loads of people
Did you buy them as phased out or new?
@@riccardoanversa3106 new
Same here. Used them for almost an year. The right side just stopped working. The controls work but the sound 😭😭
I sent my earbuds for repair last year , left one died, they were repaired ( i think they just send me a new pair) and few weeks ago left one died again 😢
Same thing
Same problem here
My Case seemed to stop charging them one day and now wondering if parts breaking is just a common thing with this model?
Ok guys, i had the same problem on my sennheiser sport true wireless.
The solution is, touch both of the earbuds for over 20 seconds, while in their case.
It doesn't work
thank mu so much . worked for me
