Is it Possible to Recreate Super Mario Maker 2 Features in Super Mario Maker?

- Super Mario Maker 2 for the Nintendo Switch is just a couple of months away from being released, and at first glance it looks like the second Super Mario Maker will add many new and awesome things that aren’t in the first game. Custom autoscrolling, fire bros, two state blocks, snake blocks and slopes are just a couple of examples of all the new, and amazing tools Super Mario Maker 2 for the Nintendo Switch is going to add.
But … are those really additions? Are those really new features? Or is most of the new stuff already very much possible in the first version of Super Mario Maker? So today we are going to investigate this eternal question, we are going to try to perfectly recreate seven of the many new features showcased in the Super Mario Maker 2 trailer, and we will finally find out, how much of the new stuff, is actually new!

Considering you can do binary, you could create a digital representation. Assuming you could represent it faster than it could expand, you'd only run into the issue of having to represent the level itself, unless... it already is a digital representation of itself because it's already binary. Arie Elberian so we actually just used bill blasters piranha plants and some dadly spikes to go to the Nintendo hq and hold a gun to the heads of the crew until they add a geno powerup and amiibo costumes
But first we need to talk about alternate universes
*Ceave’s explanation begins*
*inhales* There are many alternate universes in the Mario universe which maintain their collision but lose their visuals until an unbelievable amount of time passes. These universe exist 3 dimensionally which means there is different ways to move from one to the other. The X/Z axis control different potential outcomes in each Alt. Universe.
The Y axis controls different moments in time. These alternate universes span on forever, but moving across them is rather difficult. You need to achieve insanely high speeds to noclip into an alternate reality. If you are capable of this along with being able to manipulate your destination of alternate universe, you can theoretically make a machine which can not only travel through time, but transport you to new locations, and new possibilities. For example, what if you want to go to France? Yup, you can. Want Amelia Earhart to make it across the ocean? Yes, you can. Each universe is different and there is infinite possibilities. However, this is theoretical. Can we make a machine that can actually do this?
Yes. And It’s actually surprisingly simple. Achieving such immense speeds is tough but can be done if you install 38
000 000 000 or mores clones of Mario with backwards long jumping capabilities. This can be done if you hack Super Mario 64 to blend with reality and allow an infinite amount of Marios. Don’t worry, reality can’t crash. And the Mario’s hitboxes can be disabled. Anyway, if these Mario’s can carry a box of some sort, and their direction could be manipulated, then we could have this wonderful invention. After some tinkering, I made a basic interface to travel through time, and space, and reality, and existence. Ladies and Gentleman, we did it. It is possible to create a magical device with the soothing sound of 38 000 000 000 Mario’s yipping as their accelerate their speed up to 629 792 729 929 723 KM per hour that can transport any being capable of life across many different dimensions such as the 502nd or the alternate universe where Shrek was an abysmal film.

This would work I think but there are just 2 problems. 1: The paragoomba moves, unlike actual Fire Bros. 2: Fire Bros jump in a really random way. There's no set pattern. Paragoombas will jump after three steps. With Ceave's design, it's at least a bit more random.

@@levithe2nd Yeah, slightly. The paragoomba moves a lot. Even then, he also jumps in a set pattern while Fire Bros jumo whenever they want. And there's one more slight difference between Fire Bros and even what Ceave created. Their fire balls act like Mario's Fire Flower Fire Power Power Up Fireballs and bounce on the floor. Thus, there's no real way to recreate Fire Bros in SMM1. However, what we can do is still pretty great and amazing.

Snakes are just blocks on tracks, but the tracks are hidden.
They're very different because if Mario stands still on the block platform Ceave showed, he moves with the platform, but actual snake blocks are really just new blocks appearing while old ones disappear.

It's insane how creative you are. It's really cool that you found a way to do a lot of this stuff in first game. _Insanely_ skillful and creative. Though you have to admit having the proper versions in 2 allows for more options and less limitations. Tracks will now be able to intersect a block snake's path, for example.

I agree almost everything in SMM2 is available in SMM, but in SMM2 it's just better looking and less complicated and doesn't require a lot of work to function.
