I find it clever that theres many moments where gothel kisses/holds/hugs rapunzels hair, and not rapunzel herself. While Flynn is seen pushing the hair out of the way at the end of "I see the light" to get to HER. I think its REALLY clever imagery that I didnt notice until recently. Man, I love this film
It was actually because of the animation required for Rapunzel's hair. A lot of work went into perfecting the mechanics for hair animation specifically for this movie.

The little mermaid book reminds me, in frozen 2 Elsa and Anna’s father read the little mermaid book as well, basically showing that both tangled and the frozen 1/2 movies take place in the same world.

I don't remember, but something in the witch's (Mother Gothel's) garden. so the guy climed over the wall to get it. but he got caught the second time, and Gothel was like: "hey, i'll let you have it if you give me the next kid you have" and the gut was like: "ok" then they had a kid and he was like: "oh, sorry hun, I forgot to tell you that I traded our kid to that wich" so Gothel named her Rapunzel, because that's what they call the stuff the dad traded her for in that language. ya, they're dumb.
