- TOPS Knives is one of my favorite knife companies. They make such a huge variety of knife styles but they all have at least one thing in common: they are all high quality, tough, and beautiful blades made right here in the USA.

Good stuff my friend. Thanks for posting.
I always think of you when I'm at the TOPS booth.
@ 👍🏻👊🏻
I am picking out some new tools and thanks to you two I will be trying out Tops. Thanks for your great presentation guys'
You won’t be disappointed in TOPS quality. You might get a little overwhelmed in deciding which model to get because they have so many.
@SurvivalOnPurpose man, you ain't kidding! They have a blade for everything.
I love the Joe flowers pin. He seems like such a cool guy with a vast amount of knowledge.
Yeah, he really is.
Joe is super cool!
Excellent video!!!
Great video! Thanks for checking out my blade the X16.
Hey Adam. It was my pleasure. Craig knew I would want to see that one. Great job man.
@ thank you!
I wish they would make the back bite in a mini version so it’s just more carryable. Like 2/3 of the size would be great so that it would be more of a pocket fixed blade. Hopefully they’ll see this and consider it.
Nice.
Thanks!
Great job. Where would Tops Knives be without Survival on Purpose? 🤪
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say they would be doing just fine. ;-)
@ I will look around and pile up all of my Tops knives. My guess is I have 8.
Problem with serrations is they get stuck, in bone, and other things, although i do like them
We just not gonna mention EC in the background?
Good eye. 👊🏼
that large curved machete reminds me of a toucan
Magnacut would be a good stainless choice.
I wish a replacement of 1095, how about 80CrV2 12C27?
If it ain’t broke, why fix it?
@ Mainly two things. 1: 1095 has too much carbon, it is brittle at a higher hardness. therefore many 1095 general use knives are limited in hardness/phase transition rate 2: Corrosion resistance is poor
For example, at around 60Rc a 12C27/ 10C28Mo2 knife will be much tougher and more corrosion resistant and better edge holding in every context.
I don’t look down on or hate 1095, however, as a general use “standard” steel for most of the product lines, unfortunately ,it really is quite outdated😢
Look at Utah knife works. They have a story and evidence of a design that was Stolen. That Tops makes. Is what is said. 🧐
@@Laurariumas someone that actually has a Tops knife (Storm Vector) and other knives in 1095 and has actually tested these knives I can tell you this fascination with edge retention the "knife community" has is largely overblown consumerism bs.
Edge degradation from 420HC, 14c28n, A2, D2, 1095, 80crv2, CPM 3V, etc. is totally negligible. Learning how to properly sharpen is more valuable for edge retention than simply trying to buy it in steel
But I know I have no proof, I'm basically just asking you to take my word, so if you choose not to believe me I won't hold it against you
Personally, the brackimo, to me, is the only knife on the table that's not just another gimmick.
Any idea which stainless they will use on the new Brakimo?
Nope
👍✌️🇺🇸
Aaaaah. Another hemorrhoid removal knife. 😆 The other three are cool, though.
He said he was going through old models and prototypes. Why don't they let guys submit designs, instead of redoing the same things. ? 🤷♂️
They absolutely make designs from all sorts of people.
@@SurvivalOnPurpose a guy said 3 years for design consideration. What they told him. Now, shorter el Chete, that Brakimo redo, and Silent hero 4 redo. Just saying.
😂
And yet...I don't know which one you are referring to..... All are in deed removal devices...
Has anyone seen Joe X test Tops knives ?
Yes but that's when I stopped watching him. He was testing a Tops Storm Vector, the design gives it a REALLY fine tip, he hit the tip on a car windshield and just the very tip broke. Now car windows aren't what they use to be, u can see cops try all day to get thru a windshield with a baton and it takes them awhile so windshields are pretty tough and the tip being so fine it makes perfect sense for it to break there. Well Joe proved he knows NOTHING about knives because he ignores all these facts. His idea of a good knife is a crow bar. Not a person to take knife advice from, he does what he does for views, not legit.
Just like Benchmade what is tops have to charge 250 bucks for a $70 knife
They charge what they charge because they are made in America by American workers who want health insurance and be paid enough to live on not a handful of rice like Chinese. Chinese knives have their place but Tops is not in that category.
I don’t know of many, if any, $70 knives that have TOPS quality or reputation. And that are 100% made in the USA by American craftsmen.
If it was 5yrs ago it would probably be $150... Things are just getting crazy everywhere... A gym membership is now $82 month
You buy the material, grinders, belts, ovens, and pay yourself a livable wage charging $70 for these. You won't be able to but go ahead and try
7:32 name of the knife please.
Brakimo knife
Skull Crusher from Tops
@ thank you
Trump 2028 Baby!!!
1st knife is a bread knife. 2nd knife is a cold steel drop forged wasp knife. 3rd knife is a generic bush knife with an ugly handle. 4th knife is a keyboard warrior/ mall ninja kind of knife.
Craaaaszzzzzzyyyyy
Aww that's a bit hard..
Tired of over priced carbon
