I love these types of videos that show what stands the test of time vs “my comments on a trend” that will come and go and we will never hear anything more about the palette.
I haven’t bought eyeshadow palettes in over a year and I love to shop my stash. So your video is so wonderful. It shows what palettes really are loved and not just FOMO 😊
Huda Beauty Rose Quartz is my all time favorite. Got it last yr for Mother's Day.... and I hit pan in so many shades. I didn't realize how much of that color story are shades that compliment my skin tone, undertone, etc until I had it. I lost my mom not long ago. I did a complete overhaul on my palettes. Got rid of a ton I never used and actually bought a bunch of Huda's 9 pan palettes and some of her large ones. Anything mauve, lavender, purple... I got it. I had to go on a no buy.... I realized I was trying to cope with losing my mom with buying makeup. Anyway, love your videos and recs. I bought Jungle Lights, Desert Lights and a J Cat palette bc of your recs. Thanks, Andrea ❤ Klarissa
I got Huda’s Empowered palette in my Ipsy. I want the Grunge one for fall and cold seasons. I had to watch some tutorials on how to use the creamy matte shades. I didn’t know what was going on.
So sorry for your loss, but it's true - sometimes we think that buying things is going to make us feel better... Time is just about the only thing that works.
Thanks guys. Just rewatched this video and saw my comment. Losing her has been the worst thing to ever happen to me. I've been in therapy, and antidepressants and I can't be friends....so I've been doing Ketamine therapy. She was my best friend who just got me. If it weren't for my 2 little boys, I think I would just mold in bed.Them and my husband have truly gotten me through the really dark days. ❤ Klarissa
The Nabla Side By Side pallet is my absolute favorite.. I have oily eyelids, and every shadow in the pallet not only applies flawlessly but lasts ALL DAY 🤌
My favorite palette of all time is the ND glam palette. The top right shade called Transition-I’ve hit pan. 🎉 This is my go to shade when I just need quick color on my lids. Another fave is the YSL quad in 100 - Stora Dolls. For indie brands I would recommend Odens Eye & Juvia’s Place. Odens Eye has beautiful art work and presentation. The Juvia’s Place items I have in my collection are so nicely pigmented and very affordable. ❤ Great video Andrea! 👏
One of the reasons why I love Andreas channel is because she’s just honest with her ranking reviews.😊 Also, you are rocking that shimmery eyeshadow today! 💕💜
I haven’t tried Huda shadows but you make them sound amazing, I love that they are buildable and blendable and not totally saturated from the get go-I’ve been obsessed with creating gradient looks lately, so seamless
I prefer huda to ND. Hudas shadows are softer, easier to blend out. The brushes a person uses makes a world of difference too. I looove the rose quartz. I think I am the only person who loves the weird clear gel shadow with balls of glitter in it.
Those flower beauty eyeshadows are so amazing. I have desert lights and the jungle lights . Very foil and pretty! I need that Patrick Ta palette. You did an awesome job showing us the good stuff. I’m obsessed with eyeshadows! TFS as always
@@AndreaMatillano Honey! My green one got smashed too on a flight. I thought I was so careful packing it in bubble wrap lol. Thank god I got it on sale
I could never get enough of ND My Dream! I'm wearing I Need A Nude today and love Born This Way as well. I Wish Too Faced would have gone with a full sized cool Nutral pallet instead of the mini, I would have definitely bought that for sure. I also am hoping for a purple wearable purple color story from a good brand. Would be so fun!!!
I smiled when you started with the Colorpop Coconuts and Taupe palletes...i use them both! And, i just ordered the Flower Jungle lights pallette for 10$! I'm excited to try it.❤❤
I just recently bought the ND Mini My Dream & Starlette 5-pans and I LOVE them! I had never gotten anything from the brand before and I’m so impressed! I also love my one Oden’s Eye palette because the shimmers are so special! I definitely want to try more from the brand.
This was a fun review! My fav out of what I own is Patrick Ta II. I'm just starting to try ND and love the formula in the mini's. I'm also getting into indie brands! :)
I could not believe it when you mentioned exchanging the 2 shades in the I need a nude palette with 2 shades from the glam palette because I did exactly that with those same 2 shades … I exchanged them with blend and smoke from glam it is now my favorite everyday palette of all time , my favorite evening palette of all time is still midi glam, favorite berry/warm purple palette is still retro, my favorite for warm tones on me is still bronze, and my favorite for greens is a either retro glam or yucca depending if I want warm or cool greens, my favorite all mattes palette on me is the new makeup by Mario neutrals palette
No Pat McGrath, ABH, Viseart, Charlotte Tilbury under your top palettes. I would love to hear your opinion to this brands. Maybe we need a brand ranking (concearning palettes) or a Top 20 of your favourites 😉.
I don't really wear makeup anymore. I do miss it though! When I did wear it, it was for going out, which I used to do quite a lot before covid XD. So, for years all I used was The Balm's Nude 'Tude! Ancient , I know lol. But dang I loved it. Neutral and goes from white and light beige all the way to black and dark brown. A couple pinks, and a bronze that edged towards khaki green. I came close to hitting pan on a lot of shades. My go-to was just using the deep matte burgundy. I'd put tape on my outer eyes to make a sharp wing-line basically up to the end of my brow. I'd use my finger to cover my lid and then messily stamp/smudge along the tape. Made me feel like a real rock n roll boss haha.
So funny that in the ND I need a nude, you pointed out the two shadows you would remove and for me, these are the two that anchor the palette and makes it wearable for me!
Those palettes from Flower Beauty are some of my very favorites. I have all four. I always wondered why more people didn’t talk about them. I feel like those shimmers definitely out preform my high end ones. 🤩 They are amazing and worth every penny of the $20 price. I am very interested in switching a couple colors in my Natasha Denona palettes, I was wondering if you could tell me how to do that or may show a short tutorial? I absolutely love your videos, my husband can recognize your voice even while watching t.v. He knows not to bother me for atleast the next 1/2 hour. 😂 Ill even watch some multiple time and take notes. Thank you for taking time out of your “family time” to make such wonderful and well researched videos 💕
Hi 😊 at the back of natasha denona midi palettes there are small holes you can use something like a pin to push them through (they fall out so be careful) but they will then be able to swapped around
I have all but 2 of these, yet I haven't worn much eyeshadow since 2022. On occasion I will wear a matte in the crease + a glitter topper, very lightly tapped on. For that reason, my top 5 are: Mario Ethereal, Mario Matte, Patrick Ta 2 and 3, ND INAN.
I got a random 20% off your purchase at Sephora a few months ago and went ahead and splurged on the I Need A Nude palette ❤️ also I can’t believe that ND Bronze and Glam finally got dethroned from your channel lollll it’s exciting! I haven’t been wearing much eyeshadow lately but if I do, I’m reaching for kbeauty!
Loved the video Andrea! You always look so beautiful, professional and polished! I love that you didn't edit out the mistakes because it reminds me I'm not the only one with brain glitches, LOL. It's definitely understandable with two little ones in your home
I love the That's Taupe pallet. I used that one and Urban Decay's Wild West pallet so much. I typically go for bronzer in the crease nowadays. Lazy eyeshadow look.
Hey Andrea! I am so excited to see ND I need a nude pallete as your number 1! I just rewatched your full review on it when it first came out, and I finally purchased it 🙌 It'll be at the house by Friday! It got the best of me, and I so excited to try it 😊
I love Going Coconuts and ND I need a Nude. I do have a back up of Going Coconuts. I swatched the shades in both palettes and they are very similar. My favorite palette is Bella Beaute Bar Basic Witch.
I feel like Going Coconuts and That’s Taupe are a really good alternative to having I Need a Nude! I kind of want to use them side by side now to see if I can get a similar look. Thank you for sharing your favorite- I’m going to check it out! 💗
Drugstore suggestion here: Pacifica, the BIG PALETTE with the animal theme. Ive hit pan on many shades. There are 3 creams. Shimmers and mattes. Ive had this for almost 4 yrs, colors are the same. I cant rave enough. In canada its at shoppers for $30
I dropped my Huda Mercury retrograde palette a month ago, it shattered and my heart did to. I adored that one and cant get it anymore 😪 Love this video, all great palettes 😊
Heaven on Earth and Tropicolor by Sydney Grace are beautiful and I love using them together. ABH mini Sultry is lovely. I've been enjoying cool toned looks more. I kind of wish I owned the full sized palette when it launched. It is just so good. Hearing tour take on the cool toned Too Faced palette makes me want to try it. I was unimpressed when I swatched the shimmers but I do enjoy cool tones more. Maybe I'll give the formula a shot. I do love TF's matte formula. I bought the Warlock palette by Fantasy Cosmetica for the greens and I love them. I did swap out the pinks with some singles but I am happy to own the packaging and the shadows do perform well. I love Simmering and Sparkling by Lorac. They're great little companion palettes. I have historically loved Sigma's palettes too. I feel out of love with them for a bit but pulling the palettes out I feel rekindled my excitement to play with them. I think it's partially because I had to trash a few of my 14 pan palettes. Sigma's formula goes off for me within about 2 years. I do kind of want the Cool Neutrals palette, some of the bite size palettes and I want to repurchase the New Mod palette. Noctilucent is a highlighter palette by Blend Bunny that I love to use on my eyes to add some sparkle, shift and dimension. I love it and it may be one of the most used products in my collection. I repurchased Defiance by Auric Cosmetics. I adore the sparkle in this shade. I decjdedto give Ego a shot and I'm gald I did. I love the bright silver sparkle I get by topping the powder over the cream. Temper is a shade that I only like sometimes. It might have been when I had a tan but my memory is a bit fuzzy. I loved ut when I first got it and then I didn't. The Christmas shades from a couple years ago are kind of meh in comparison to the main line. I didn't love the tone of the berry one. I don't love olive tones on me and I knew the cream in Entice is just that but it can be a bit tricky to work with and I expected more from the sparkle. I actually had to remove hard pan from ig because it was performing so poorly. I also expected the topper to be more green toned in sparkle and it's really more of a dirty gold.
Im not really into neutral eyeshadows but if i did buy one from all the ones you mentioned, the ND nude palette is the most interesting to me. The shimmers look special.
I took both the that’s taupe and going coconuts palettes and combined them into one with my fav shades in the going coconuts palette and put the extras in taupe palette. I love it lol both palettes are great on their own too though
I've quickly fallen in love with Natasha palettes, the yucca palette is one of my favorites. I'm more of a bright shadow girlie (think urban decay electric palette) but i picked up the i need a nude palette on sale at ulta and I'm so glad i did, it's become one of my most used palettes
@Andrea Matillano please share your recommendation on a palette that practically dupes the Morphe Gilded Desert palette that's a bit smaller & has a few less orangey tones. I like warmer tones on my eyes, just not straight up BOLD orange on my eyes.
My fave is the ColourPop Stone Cold Fox palette. Warm shadows don’t work for me the older I get. I used to be able to cheat warm when I was younger, but now warm colors just look wrong on me. (The same goes for clothing.)
Ny favorite eyeshadow palette is still Natasha Denona Biba. I do love her I Need a Nude palette too it is closing in on Biba! This was a fun video, thanks so much!
The I Love You a Latte palette is one of my all time favorites too. It's so useful. Danessa Myricks Groundwork Blooming Romance is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Unearthly Cosmetics and Glamlite palettes are top notch, as well as Ace Beauté.
Thank you so much for your recommendations! I considered picking up that Danessa Myricks palette but I was sure about the cream type shadows. Do you find them easy to apply to the eyes?
@@AndreaMatillano I really love it. It's a lot like the Natasha Denona cream to powder formula. Very easy to work with; forgiving and buildable while at the same time richly pigmented. Then you have the powder formula to set and amplify your work. It's fantastic. Highly recommend.
I wear eyeshadow every single day and will never stop! Natasha Denona Bronze is and has been my number one palette easily ❤. I’m also loving the Colour Pop Not a box of Chocolates!
Bella Beaute Bar mattes are incredible, adept cosmetics makes my favorite formula, both mattes and shimmers look so flattering on the eye! Edit: my favorite palettes are the 15 pan color ways. I have all of them and use them equally, but if you twist my arm, the arrow inspired is my “favorite”
Once I tried Oden’s Eye I realized that I never actually knew what good eyeshadow was. I have hundreds of palettes & I don’t think any of them compare.
My favorite indie companies is nomad and odens eye, my favorite from nomad: Hudson valley, orient express, and fetes de Provence ( not sure if they still have them), but they have 4 new pallets that gorgeous, one is Irish themed, which you will love. Odens eye: solmane 2, Alva (neutral shades), jewels and gems, stone and rock, planet spirit, sea talk (my fav), and saga of freja chapter 2: cat with golden carriage. They also have shimmer, matte, and duochrome singles, Angelica nyqvist does shade swatches on all of them, so u can see what they look like.
The palettes I'm using most lately are: UD Wild West UD Wild Greens Oden's Eye Jewels & Gems ND Mini Retro ND Glam Morphe Multi Effects (the Taupe/Neutral one)
My most used palettes are Pat McGrath Devine Rose, Natasha Denona Midi Retro and Dior Cool Neutrals. Unfortunately the Dior palette was discontinued and I have used it pretty much up. 😞 I do really enjoy my Sydney Grace Tiny Marvels palette too.
I loved the Huda color stories but couldn't live with the fallout. Fortunately, Unearthly's Spring Magic is a stellar replacement for Mercury Retrograde. Highly recommend.
I literally can't just pick one so here goes... ABH sultry, Huda nude light, rose quartz and pretty grunge, CP pretty guardian and petals en pointe, ND mini and midi retro and pat McGrath mothership 1... I'm sure I forgot some
It depends on the brand! They sometimes say on the back or the packaging but I usually go based on texture, color, scent, and a general idea of how long I have had them!
I love my oldie but goodies. All Huda palettes especially Rose quartz. All ABH palettes buy of o had to choose a favorite it would be Norvina and Jackie. I have so many palettes its hard to choose favorites. For affordable palettes I love Colourpop ❤❤❤❤
I just got the ND Retro Glam palette and I love it. Probably an unpopular opinion. But I loved the color story of Urban Decay Wild Greens and Retro Glam is a better version of that. I also am liking Colorpop Dawn to Dusk and sorta testing out What’s Up Beauty Dragon 🐉 palette. But I love my Retro Glam. I also need to try my One Size Wicked palette. Not sure about that one but I like the green side and I ❤❤❤❤❤ Wicked. You should review it!!!!!
I actually haven’t tried Pat McGrath but I hear the formula is amazing! I ended up decluttering all of my ABH palettes over the years because they got so old but I LOVED Soft Glam!
Did Patrick Ta ever fix that issue they were having with palettes getting moldy well before the expiry date? I like the look of the palettes but I have held off on buying them for that reason
Okay it time for me to try more indie palettes! Please share your absolute favorite brands and palettes with me so I can add them to my list!
Ohh! Adept, Oden’s Eye, Ensley Reign, and Sydney Grace are all amazing! 💕
have you tried any odens eye palettes?
Glaminatrix, Dieverune Cosmetics, Lethal Cosmetics, Nomad cosmetics, and Blend Bunny are my favorites!
Blend bunny and lethal cosmetics!
Bella beaute bar! Gorgeous formulas.

Thank you for the recommendation, I also have very oily lids and nothing last except with a primer and only for about 6-5 hours

Oh wow super good to know! I think I might have to grab that one since I love the formula so much. Thank you for sharing!
What was your eyeshadow you’re wearing in this video? Can you please link the currently wearing shadows in description box?❤😊
Ny favorite eyeshadow palette is still Natasha Denona Biba. I do love her I Need a Nude palette too it is closing in on Biba! This was a fun video, thanks so much!
Biba is such a great palette! I love the shades in that one.
Is it best to take the palettes out of the box to preserve the life or is it OK to keep in the box? Please advise.
I personally think it’s fine to keep them in the box!
@@AndreaMatillano Thank you so much. I love your personality and your channel. Keep up the great work. A++++.
Yucca is my all time favorite, beautiful... top quality.
Colourpop Silver Fox. A cool toned girl's best friend. ❤
My absolute favorite has been Tarte Clay play palette, the first one. ❤
I wear eyeshadow every single day and will never stop! Natasha Denona Bronze is and has been my number one palette easily ❤. I’m also loving the Colour Pop Not a box of Chocolates!
What is the name of the Elf quad?
Bella Beaute Bar mattes are incredible, adept cosmetics makes my favorite formula, both mattes and shimmers look so flattering on the eye!
Edit: my favorite palettes are the 15 pan color ways. I have all of them and use them equally, but if you twist my arm, the arrow inspired is my “favorite”
Thank you so much for your suggestion! I’ve never tried them so I will definitely check them out!
The palettes I'm using most lately are:
UD Wild West
UD Wild Greens
Oden's Eye Jewels & Gems
ND Mini Retro
ND Glam
Morphe Multi Effects (the Taupe/Neutral one)
Mel Thompson’s palette has my ❤. I use it once a week and think of her often.
I love that palette so much! I miss Mel. ❤️
That Too Faced palettes mattes are amazing❤
lunar beauty nude prism is a must have!!
The two shades you would take out from the INAN are my favorite shades in the palette 😭
Thank you for sharing ❤
I loved the Huda color stories but couldn't live with the fallout. Fortunately, Unearthly's Spring Magic is a stellar replacement for Mercury Retrograde. Highly recommend.
Happy Wednesday Everyone
I have to know what lipstick you’re wearing!!!!! I’ve been searching for a pink!!!
This is amazing! Thank you! I agree with so much, especially your #1 :)
I literally can't just pick one so here goes... ABH sultry, Huda nude light, rose quartz and pretty grunge, CP pretty guardian and petals en pointe, ND mini and midi retro and pat McGrath mothership 1... I'm sure I forgot some
What's expiration on pallets?
It depends on the brand! They sometimes say on the back or the packaging but I usually go based on texture, color, scent, and a general idea of how long I have had them!
Glaminatrix has some of the BEST single shimmer and duochromes EVER!! You would not be disappointed
I love Natasha Denona palettes, my faves are the glam and my dream, the formula of ND is always amazing.
Love rankings!
I appreciate you watching! 🥰
If id redesign the I need a nude palette id take out a bunch of the shimmers and put in more unique nude colors like a nude green and a nude blue
I'm surprised you didn't mention any Pat McGrath palettes or ABH (specifically the soft glam palette)
I actually haven’t tried Pat McGrath but I hear the formula is amazing! I ended up decluttering all of my ABH palettes over the years because they got so old but I LOVED Soft Glam!
Outstanding
The makeup by Mario matte palettes are my fave or ND glam or bronze.
I just recently tried the Makeup by Mario Neutrals and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by it! The formula is really nice and the colors are pretty.
Did Patrick Ta ever fix that issue they were having with palettes getting moldy well before the expiry date? I like the look of the palettes but I have held off on buying them for that reason
I feel like I hear mixed things about it! I haven’t had the issue myself but I do still read comments from people who find mold. 😭
The two mattes you want out of the I need a nude palette save it for me haha
Hi. I'm late! We had 4 trees removed and the rest trimmed today. It was a long day. I am here for it now!❌️⭕️
