👎 Strongly disagree re: types and colors of new elements. I love that Lego continues to innovate and expand the pallet. Added realism is a great thing. But even better is the growth in the number of ways that we can make connections.

I view what y’all do as a service, making content that we enjoy and value. The fact that you get a little notoriety, compensation, and product is great, but most of us recognize that doesn’t offset the work you do for us. And for that we say, “Thank you!”
I really disagree on the custom pieces and colors. I am sorting my parts as well and yes that makes it hard, but those custom pieces are so necessary for a lot of builds. And I do know that they only have so many colors and pieces out that are 'unique' at a time.
And I will say, that there are some pieces that get so expensive because of that and it is frustrating. But, I think it is worth it depending on the build. Sometimes, I can use a dark brown instead of a dark red and save 20$. I had one build where I changed a piece from dark orange to dark tan, and it saved me 45$. It just depends if you really need that piece or not.
And I really do like the realism!

I love the TH-cam talk as i find it very interesting. I like what alex said about people maybe not realizing the time it CAN take to create a video. Also the kids dreaming of being a famous youtuber may not realize that most, if not all of them are companies and teams, not just people.
I liked alex reading comments! Good change of pace. And i look forward to the brickslopes coverage - i think the way jason editted the brickworld chicago footage was perfect!
I miss the days when sugary cereals had sugar in the name. Super Sugar Crisps and Sugar Pops were a couple of my favorites

On the sticker sheets for that Indiana Jones thing, I'd think of it like this. If you got a big set, like a nice display set or a UCS thing, and you wanted to keep the box from it, would you also keep the empty sticker sheet? If you bought a 2nd hand UCS set and the stickers had already been applied, and the box didn't have the empty sticker sheet included, would you be upset and feel like you're missing out on something? Does the same apply to the plastic bags that the parts come in?
Personally, I'd say unless there's something you plan to *do* with it, then just pass it on to someone who can get something out of it. Lego wants to be used, not stored in a box.
In terms of you guys being a smaller channel I love the interaction that we have in the videos. I commented on bricksey and Emma's videos and neither made any reference to it. Great video as usual I really enjoy the ramblings that Alex wanders off to!
I do not regret any of my Lego purchases. My wife probably does, but I don’t!

Great video as usual. You guys are so fortunate to have lego shows such as brick slopes etc. Here where I live British Columbia Canada , unfortunately we never have lego shows here. Also there is only 2 lego stores in my area and one is 5 minutes away and that is walking distance. I've following Jason's Oswald segments. The Oswald builds a pretty cool. Never heard about the Oswald character before. Yet another great bricking news episode. Have a great week. 😀

I just skip the food segment. It's not even the 'talking about food' that bothers me; it's the crunching, and chewing noises and worst of all: talking while you're eating. It just sounds so disgusting. 😅 Also an idea: What if (instead of mini builds), one of you builds a food item from Lego and the other guy guesses what it is supposed to be. Food, but Lego, you know.
Anyway... The new Lego Ideas picks have been announced... What do you guys think?

As someone new to the show, I’m fine with any segments you want to do. But what’s largely necessary is chapter markers. You really need them and needs to be standard on YT shows that are this long.
"What is the Lego set you're ashamed that you bought?" That would be 70702 "Warp Stinger" from the 2013 Galaxy Squad theme. It looked like a cool giant bug monster. Turned out it had exactly zero points of articulation and just kinda sat there. Very disappointing.
I didn't realize Riverside Scholars is open-backed. It works good with the Ocean House, but looks weird for Scholars. Maybe I'll just get 1. I similarly had planned on getting Parisian Street, but backed out when I found out it was open-backed 😐
Maybe it won't affect sales because people buying BDP sets are Lego purists and probably don't buy cloned/stolen sets, BUT Jie Star set 89149 is almost an exact copy of The Riverside Scholars, biggest differenceis that it's on a basplate. It has been out for about 1,5 years and it's cheap, most likely less than half of what the BDP will be.
To be clear, I'm not promoting the copy! I'm only interested to know if you think this may impact the BDP sales?
What are your views on the changes in the BDP?… how can we not get anymore buildings and no more modular sized ones either… I love the buildings that come out from it… the initial BDP from 2022 and 2023 was awesome for buildings… darn LEGO Group… better not demand that BDP has Friends sets!😡
So if you decide to keep the food segment. You should try something like international foods. For example , if you have an Asian market where you live. You should guys should try Asian style potato chips. There some very unique flavors, such as squid, Chicken. Fish.pork.shrimp and several other strange flavors.
Yeah, there’s some irresponsible spending. For example, not sure if you remember, Alex, but I bought several sets from you a couple weeks ago. And, I was seriously thinking about buying another set from you at that time.
My mom's employer back in the 90s went to Ireland and they had the film developed at a local big-name film development company, this same company lost the pictures. One of my relatives that worked for that same big-name film developer in town would brag about employees taking people's pictures and turning them into funny meme holiday cards!🤦🍀 On a side note, I never had any trouble with a different company; Walgreens, developing my film.
Here is my solution to the food eating problem. You both should pick leftovers form your fridge and swap and try. That way you can both evaluate each others cooking skills. What could go wrong?
I brought a logo home maker set with a box after watching brickTsar, why I still don't know.
"Lego is making too many specialized parts and colours" I agree. I think that every single set I've ever gotten has had at least one part design or colour that I've never seen before. And as often as not, it's never going to be used again. It can be cool to introduce new things sometimes, I just think it's too much, too fast.
Cereal, that's something you guys haven't tried for the food segment. Maybe tie that into Nostalgia Nunes and eat foods that Alex wishes he had when he was young!
Went out to the movies with the wife and mentioned the "what happens to the collection if I meet my demise" video. I told her she will need to log in and see the actual value of things to sell of the major money getters separately. Luckily she said she won't ever need to worry about that.

My biggest regret was one of my first few mocs. I learned a lot while building it, but it fell apart a lot, and it cost so much money on bricklink . There are sets that retired I couldn't buy because I bought those pieces for the moc instead.
While watching this video, I just finished disassembling it, which hurt a little, but I'm happy to add the pieces to my collection now. I wish I hadn't built it for a lot of reasons.
I paid too much for my Bay 327 because I didn't know what I was doing (just getting back into Lego at the time).
I thought this wasn't the FIRST time that I watched this. Then I realised I had watched the precaps, or should that be precraps. Somehow the prec(r)aps is confusing me whether I have actually watched the episode or not.
You should try listening to them film, then getting bits and pieces from when Jason is editing, then watching the pre-cap. By the time the actual episode drops, I can’t keep track of what I heard where.

I can't imagine using film now. In 1996, my brother was a photojournalism student and that summer he and I went on a cross country road trip. We went to 5 national parks (including 2 in Utah) and 2 baseball games and my brother shot 17 rolls of film on this trip of a lifetime and we just stuffed them in envelopes and dropped them in a box at the drug store and came back a week later and hoped the pictures were good! Craziness! 🤣
Question: What does irresponsible spending mean? Is it spending money that you don't have? That would be irresponsible. If it's spending your disposable income, is that irresponsible?
The Doctor Who statues that move when you're not looking are Weeping Angels. I haven't watched much Doctor Who, but there's a Doctor Who level of the LEGO Dimensions game that has weeping angels. They never move when they're on the screen, but if you move your character to where they're off-screen, when you move back they will have moved.
I will definitely be there! I'm wearing my bricking news shirt on Thursday! And if I can wash it, then other saturday or sunday as well! I've got the VIB pass!
I like the new segment that seems to be regular - we've had it 3-4 times now. Hopefully Ask Jimmy will be a regular feature.
Biggest regret was buying 42009 technic mobile crane. I hate technic builds so it sits on my shelf unopened because i refuse to take a loss selling it at bricks and minifigs
I sell minifigures that I do not want from sets I buy if they're particularly valuable, so it makes sense to me to sell the sticker sheet if its not something you'd keep anyway
LEGO producing soo many different elements and colors has got me to a point where I am not impressed with many MOCs anymore; when they give you so many colors and specialized parts, it’s like I expect perfection because there’s no really as excuse for it to not look perfect... back when there were only a bricks, plates, far less slopes, and only a handful of colors, MOC didn’t have to look nearly as good for me to be more impressed than I am now, but it was much more of an accomplishment.
Shame Jimmy's Photos got deleted, but from far away, it looked good!
You should have a segment where you have to decide if it is Food or Legos. Make some Lego food builds and then have them mixed up with real food and let the fun begin.
For the ocean house and for the riverside one I definitely think they're good like on the top of some shelves - not in the city.
