Build a fast cheap aerodynamic bike by a 5 year old with small willy. Hambini's NEW BIKE (Part 2)

  • I'm building a very fast bike with my aerodynamic expertise. I tell the wankateering departments where to go in true Hambini style.
This is the second in the series, I free a stuck seatpost and provide a fix to a steerer fork that has been cut too short.

I'd love to see those on an eposide.
I have a set of Flo30's. The alloy rim, 25mm wide jobby. You need hands of Thor and machined steel tyre levers to get the fucking tires on. Plastic wankjobs will snap. Ask me how I know this. Experience is a bitch. If you do a 5 hour ride in the cold and pissing rain, call for a ride home because not even fucking Rambo has the hand strength to get a tyre off, let alone fix the fucking popped inner tube and get the tire back on.

Earlier in my life I made high end custom furniture. Occasionally someone would ask me how the make a bed or a chest of drawers on the cheap. "No problem", I'd reply. "First go out and buy a couple thousand dollars of wood working tools and the have at it." It is nice to solve problems by simply going into the shop and making the fix.

Hello Mr. Hambini, I noticed in your last video that it appears one of your viewers sent you a Wacom writing tablet to enhance your PowerPoint presentations. Wonderful gesture. You may remember that I mentioned I also use a Wacom tablet with my online physics classes. I have found that it's performance is much better when connected to your computer via USB. Using Bluetooth, at least in my case, introduced an annoying amount of lag between moving the pen and seeing the results on the screen. Anyway, for what it's worth. Have you seen the titanium allen key skewers on the market? Several companies producing those. No QR lever to deal with. Compact, very light, and very affordable (shop around). A worthy addition for your fast bike goals.
I'm building up an old titanium TT bike to be a 1x10. Sacrificing close gearing with a bigger range cassette. For the wheels I decided on Araya SA-730s with Circus Monkey hubs. Shimano 105 as it's good enough for my needs.

How's this for an idea. Hambini designs his ideal BB standard. Blanksheet, blue sky, no limits. If the BB shell of the frame has to change then Raoul Luescher can make a frame to use that standard. Between you, you could make an example bike and take it to the Bristol Bespoked handmade bike show. Fame and fortune awaits.

Either some cheap, used Alloy clinchers with medium Wheel Profile Height
Or some Yoeleo Alloy-Carbon / Carbon High Profile Wheels

Hate to tell you, but I rather like my Zipp 404 clinchers. I’ve had them since 2013.

When I was at Land Rover there was a swearing contest. The winner was able to use "F**ck" 13 times in one sentence. I had to unlearn swearing now I live in the US. Great to hear real phrases like 'turning moment' and 'garter spring' though.

Glad to hear the tourette's is back (a bit). Are you going to start selling the steerer tube extenders for those of us numpties who cut our steers before taking into account aging waistlines?

Maybe have a custom built alloy wheels Sachin. Does deep carbon wheels really necessary for aero gain? As for the group set, maybe you can get a secondhand dura ace 9000 and customise them for aero benefit.
