Thanks for the update! I have just watched your previous one and have decided to buy. Need to shop around now for bargain price is my next step to purchase!

Hi, like me you have a small kitchen. I’m trying to work out the optimal appliances for space and energy efficiency. I want to make smoothies, bread, pesto, stir fries, pasta dishes, roasted veg, perhaps a roast dinner? So am thinking a Magimix Cook Expert plus a toaster/microwave combination oven would work best. What do you think? Maybe you could do a video on what you think is the most efficient appliance selection ? Many thanks for your videos!

I have the magimix 4 and like the fact its a glass jug. Its great for smoothies and nut milk. I had an optimum blender before its similar to a vitamix although more powerful, I'm happy with the magimix.

Granola: mixing all the ingredients by hand in a big bowl takes literraly 30 seconds for a batch that'll last me a whole week.
Pancakes: Milk, eggs, flower...no idea why you'd need a blender for that instead of just a stand mixer? There's nothing to actually cut/shred?
Nutbutter & sauces: I'll have to give it try, tnks for the tip :)

You cut a batch of nuts in 30 seconds? Your knife skills are better than mine I think (not that it takes much to be honest 🤣)! I do granola by hand too quite regularly to be fair! But it does take me longer for sure.
For pancakes it’s more of a practical thing, for the big jug I’ve then got it mixed in the jug I pour from, with nothing else to clean, and if I blend in the big blend cup and do a batch I can then just pop that cup in the fridge with the lid, again no extra cleanup. But yes you are right, can of course be done with a stand mixer or even just by hand!
Let me know how you fare with the nut butter! 💪🏼💕

What is the base made of (rotation wheel where the jar is settled on) made on? I find it important that is not plastic since the plastic ones didnt last too long when blending everyday. Thanks!

I think it is plastic, not entirely hard though - kind of silicone-y!

Vitamix's patent on their tamper expired. Interesting how many blenders are suddenly including one.
Have you considered a Vitamix? I'm watching your Blender Power 3 (and don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Magimix 5200XL Premium--your vids helped push me over the edge on that one) and I noticed that everything gets thrown upward while it's blending. Vitamixes pull everything down into the blades, so you'd be a lot happier with one for things like nut butters.

Oooh - interesting! Haven’t tried one but would be curious to!

I just wish vitamix had a real glass blender...the braun blender has also great design in triangle shape- blending this much easier but the strong one is also plastic😕

@@betmikael28 oh, that's a BRILLIANT idea! A 2+ HP base with a container that you might accidentally leave a utensil in before running. Or how about it develops a hairline fracture and you're blending hot soup (you realize the friction can heat and cook liquid, right?) and it shatters while running at top speed, sending shards of glass flying. Yes indeed--"real glass" certainly is an appropriate choice of medium for the container of a utensil with a motor as powerful as that of a small
      lawn mower. 🤣
Perhaps you should ask WHY there's no glass container, then consider the possible reasons for that decision.

@@betmikael28 oh, that's a TERRIFIC idea! A 2+ HP motor and you leave a utensil in the glass container and turn it on. Or, better yet, it develops an unseen hairline fracture, you're blending hot soup (you do realize it can heat to almost boiling from friction?), and it shatters, sending shards of glass AND hot liquid flying. Yes indeed--glass would certainly be the way to go! 🤣
You'd do well to consider WHY there's no glass container. Plastics really DO have their place in the world.

Just tried out my brand new Magimix 3 blender and feeling really disappointed. I hoped to achieve a smooth sauce like dressing for a bowl of chopped veg salad and instead got a very porridge like consistency as it just didn't have enough power to turn the ingredients (basil, vinegar, tofu, can of cannellini beans) into a smooth sauce or was I doing something wrong? I don't have any of the small bowls due to the exorbitant extra price but maybe that is what I need. Like someone mentioned below all the ingridients were pushed up and not liquidised. Feels like a lot of money down the drain. Have I made a mistake in not buying a nutribullet?

I wouldn’t know re nutribullet as I’ve never tried one, but yes I’d say the blend cups are probably what you need for that… sorry to hear it’s not working for you!

Does it have a removable power cable?
I'm looking to buy one in a country that use a different power plug than my country, so I really need to know.

    • @TheFromScratchBody

It doesn’t look removable, no… but an adapter might work fine, if you get a decent quality one?
