Scamming is everywhere. In 2015 I got scammed in UK and in 2023 I got scammed $800 in US.

We detected two fraudulent transactions on our credit card account here in the USA just days ago. We immediately contacted Bank of America and they refunded the money, initiated an investigation and issued us new cards with new numbers of course. These scammers have become very sophisticated and the only way to stop them is to be checking your transactions regularly. We were not doing that but we know better now. Hope you get your money refunded and soon. It's the right thing for your Bank to do.

This happened to me in the UK like 20 years ago. Someone was deducting £25 daily with transactions to a flower shop in Brussels lol. Got my money back though.. and yeah I only noticed when statements came in.. so def a good practice to check balances frequently (wish they’d grow and not decrease lol).. hopefully you get your money back soon.
