    Im Blasian with straight hair down to my hips and I get so uncomfortable when people tell me i have "good hair" to the point where i started to feel guilty to have my hair type bc i would get so much attention (good& bad) for having straight hair. My hair is also a gateway for people to question my ethnic/ racial background which also makes me very uncomfortable to answer.
    Also When certain people found out my hair is real & naturally straight I would get accused of texturism & being stucked up even though i never considered my hair to be better or good hair. I even had an incident where a women would act like my friend just to get close to me & find any small reason to fight me while threatening to cut off my hair and wear it as a weave! All my life i dealt with people trying to humble me bc of my hair 😢 i grew up hating having different hair than most people in the black& mixed race community bc i stand out & would get attention from creepy black men & mean black women
    I had to learn to love my hair type without feeling guilty!! I learned that my beautiful long straight hair and dark brown skin makes me unique so I shouldn't feel bad for my Exotical beauty ❤️ and yess i am blessed to have my hair bc women are paying hundreds- thousands of dollars just to have an indian 40 inch bussdown! Im very much blessed! I love my hair more than ever and won't feel bad ever again!

      Type 3 here and yes, the "good hair" "I wish I had your hair" comments are so back-handed. It's a mental journey understanding when someone else's insecurities isn't your fault when these self-pitying parasites see you as a host to latch onto. Having to awkwardly comfort these people is a thankless burden especially when they do it repeatedly.

    I’m sure she was just repeating what she has heard her mother say her entire life. And honestly, natural hair is NOT difficult to “manage”. You will take care of your hair if you love and accept it for what it is. The self hate in a lot of ppl makes them view their own hair as a problem. The constant manipulation of it to make it look like something it is not is what’s difficult. 🤦🏽‍♀️
    Trust me, the things I’ve heard black women say about themselves and each other is disgusting. Especially when it comes to hair, I know first hand bc I’ve worked in beauty supply stores. It’s sad and hypocritical

    They valued other woman hair more than theirs own, then justify this by saying that WW wears weave too but WW wear wig who looks like theirs hair (exept when they MIXEDfishing bcuz they love claiming that ww blackfishing when they don't they want to looks racially ambigious notice the differences when WP trying to be racist when they do black face they use straight black paintings and use afro weave so we can tell that WP find golden skin more Exotics too)

    Nappy in my culture is an insult that means badly tangled, unkempt hair. We don’t use the word to specifically refer to type 4 hair or any hair type for that matter. I have heard it used against people with looser texture. I would never call somebody’s hair nappy because I was raised to see it as an insult but if others embrace it that’s their choice. In fact the time I remember someone calling me nappyheaded my hair was relaxed and straight because it looked a mess. For us “nappy” is something you correct with a comb not a relaxer. And I and others were not happy with Iyanla a black woman when she told a white German woman that black women have to go to salons every week because we have “nappy hair”. If you look at the comments section on that OWN video there are people who said they had a problem with her using this word. Iyanla may not have a problem with the word but telling this to a foreigner who might possibly say this to a black woman who does have a problem will it could get her slapped. Iyanla was wrong.
    My culture uses nappy the same way some people say “nappy weave”. As mentioned most people don’t wear type 4 weave. We are saying it’s badly tangled and has nothing to do with the extensions being a lose hype. I actually know white and other non black people who call their own hair nappy when it’s badly tangled

    I don't think what Briana said was meant in a bad way, she stated facts about her mom's hair and people shouldn't feel attacked. I think she was talking about management. My hair is 3c/4a and its long, when straightened comes down to my butt and when curly, it comes down to my breast.. However, even I find my hair to be a lot of work, that doesn't mean I don't like it (I LOVE IT), it's a matter of just acknowledging the reality. Some hair textures are easier than others and that's perfectly fine, they should not feel offended when they very well know it can truly be a hassle. I find my 3c hair a struggle too (at least for me), it breaks easily especially when you have way too much hair. I think she was just trying to empathize with her mom instead of criticizing her hair.
    I completely agree with what you say, we all have something that we wish to have when it comes to our hair. My son has long 3b curls, and I can tell you IT'S SO MUCH EASIER THAN MINE 😂 he has a lot of hair, his hair is normal porosity, and he can get away with just leave in conditioner. In my case, I also have A LOT of hair, its low porosity and needs warm water, I also have to section it into million pieces to apply products section by section because its thick. All hair textures are beautiful, but some are harder than others and that's perfectly fine. It's a matter of loving your hair no matter what, I get complimented a lot on my hair and I've heard some black women talk about 3c hair as if its "the goal", and me thinking inside "if only they knew its hard to manage as well 😂". I think 3b and bellow are the easiest to manage, (I have 3b in the bottom back of my hair, well I have 3 different hair textures and they all feel different when styling 3b,3c,4a) Anyways, I think we just have to accept reality.. as the hair type goes down, the easier it gets and since we all have a busy life, we all would love a manageable and quick way to do our hair. The girl felt attacked for no reason and added words that were not even mentioned.

    • @ExoticalsUnited
      @ExoticalsUnited  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Right! I have type 3 hair and I 100% believe that women with naturally straight hair can probably manage theirs easier than me. I’m not having an inferiority complex about it or accusing white and Asian girls of “thinking they’re better” than me. If an Indian woman said her hair is easily manageable and it’s easy to grow it down to her ankles I would not be offended.

    Wearing wigs, weave straighteners that’s what 4c hair ppl do to their hair what’s outside of the norm is accepting there born hair texture as beautiful and promoting wearing it that way that’s what I don’t see. Deep down we don’t want the hair we have. I’m very large busted I watched women hate on me for my size all my life. It’s because she was not dissing anyone she was simply repeating what her own mother said about her hair. Black people call our own hair nappy all the time but now people are policing it as if you have to have nappy hair yourself to use the word nappy.
