I stopped buying excess clothes, cosmetic, jewellery and unwanted stationery. And moreover after WFH situation, priorities has changed. Also stopped excess stuffing of items in fridge. Now it’s a planned week. difference with these cautious buying is more than owning them.
Opps I just ordered kindle 😒 in this Amazon sale , its for a reason so no regrets. I still have to cut down on many things and your videos does motivate to take that step. Thanks Saloni….

So glad to see an Indian TH-camr talk about minimalism! Personally, minimalism has helped me a lot in reducing my anxiety about getting things done in college, especially since I am still figuring out the adulting thing. Minimalism reduces a lot of extra work which frees up my time for things I really want to do. Totally relatable video🌠

I must say when youtubers are promoting consumerism and an unrelaistic lifestyle, you are the first one who is making us grounded and real. However, I may not agree with all the things you dont buy. One of them being earphones as I am a big music lover.
Will wait for more videos. Good luck!

Hey Saloni, loved the video - I have stopped all that you mentioned and a few more. Hope you read my comment and can adopt these if you find them logical too -
    1) I stopped buying a lot of sauces from the stores- white pasta sauce , ginger garlic paste which I make at home now- first it’s more healthy and I am saving so much of packaging and trash over the years
    2) big Birthday cakes - don’t want to consume so much after the celebration , just what’s needed for the two of us to consume and be done with it in a day or two
3 ) Watches, used to have hell lot of them of various brands designs, now just one smart watch
    4) During the lockdown invested in an epilator and a brow trimmer so saving a lot on those tasks too 😊
I want to cut down on so many other things like food packaging , plastic bags , specially when I opt for deliveries etc but hasn’t been possible.

Hey salonii.. Whatever you said in this video each and every word is relatable with me.. Everyone speak about clothes, jewellery, footware.. But no one can told us living a life like minimalistic is good, simple it's just remove all the insecurity.. You just exactly told this.. I am really a big fan of you... I found myself in you, you inspire me each and every day.. Thankful for having you as mentor..

Great content ! I hope more people join the minimalism train. I've been getting more and more into this lifestyle since over two years now and the value it has added to my life is immense. To add, One thing I stopped using is trash bags. I sometimes reuse grocery covers for wet waste or just dump it into a smaller bin that has a lid. And for dry waste,I put it directly into the bin. :)

This is exactly we all should be doing to live a simple life. Pandemic has anyway taught us how to live happily with basic necessities.
A comfortable home , healthy & nutritious food , some exercise ,mobile, laptop & Wifi is all i need and of-course some basic clothing . Not to stuff my cupboard with shopping craziness.

    • @NELLOREABBAI
      @NELLOREABBAI 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

Exactly that's how currently our society has tuned their minds too.. if inofsys founder and microsoft founder don't use a iphone and put up a normal clothing and normal watch they call it simplicity and humble down to earth etc.. however a commen public like you and me for a example earning 50k Society thinks we are miser if we don't have a iphone or costly watch. They name it miser . Basically the rich would be called as minimulist but a commen public would be called as a miser .! We should work on our priority irrespective of what society thinks on.

U n me have almost the same logic behind Not spending / investing on these things. I don’t like to clutter my house with all the stuff I don’t use. I’m myself like this strong supporter of minimalism since it will help reduce so much waste ...

Great video - I travel less but ensure I always stay in a really good place (about joy and convenience), never got o a mall/shop to buy stuff (always online), no jewelry here too, no expensive electronics for me ( always mid range - durability and technology wise most effective according to me)

I have been following almost everything which you have mentioned except travel souvenirs. Will surely think about this if I travel next time.

do pick up small souvenirs, I generally get small inexpensive magnets or a piece of local handicraft or something locally made. The idea is to not overdo it but not deprive yourself also.
