Alastor is such an enigma that we can't tell for sure what his intentions are or even just how evil he is...and that's what makes him so FASCINATING! I'm totally invested in his character and can't wait to see how his story ends!
Actually, Alastor is Evil. He's just forced to play nice because of his contract. He even said himself in his monologue in the radio station in episode 8 that he wants to use Charlie to find a way to break is contract and he also wants to taks control of everything. Do you know who that remind me off? Ghetsis from Pokemon Balck/White and Pokemon Black2/White2. Someone that felt seemingly nice to the people around him, especialy to N, but in reality was trying to manipulate them to he tho one completely in charge and achiece true power. Alastor is for Charlie what Ghetsis was with N.
I'm sure he did absolutely relish in showing a scroll saying "!##$ you, I do what I want" And the tantrum thing can be applied to him deciding to target the hotel first.
Although she's an Overlord, the fact that Carmilla will do whatever it takes to protect her daughters really shows she has...some sliver of a good heart in her
@@SilverScribe85 yeah. Though I am happy how highly good Carmilla is since the rest were either neutral or bad to evil that were featured cause there's still a few more I hope we'll know more of in season 2
“We’ve talked about a regular angel and a fallen angel now it’s time to talk about a guy named Angel” That has to the the smoothest transition to a new section of a video
Razzle, Dazzle and Kiki are actually all animated objects. Razzle and Dazzle are originally stuffed animals that Lucifer brought to life to keep Charlie company, and Kiki is the key to the Hotel. Lucifer uses them as a kind of Keyblade during the final song. The only real pet is Fat Nuggets.
Another thing about Alastor is that he was a serial killer before he died-more evil points for that. However, the creator of Hazbin Hotel said he didn’t “go after just ANYONE”.
You vastly underestimate Alastor. He's not openly evil. He's worse. He's in this for the long haul and the biggest score. Betrayal is true evil. He literally says that once he has HIS freedom, he's the one who will control everything. All the help he offers, all the "good" he does is all just to get in good with Charlie which pays off when she makes the deal with him. Now he has the princess of Hell in the palm of his hand. Valentino is cruel, but he's not hiding it. He has no grander ambitions that nobody else wouldn't realize in 5 seconds.
Valentino still is a serial rapist and sex slaver who is the biggest scumbag we see in show next to Adam. In case of Alaster while I agree I think he should be put above Lute or Vox his goals are still too enigmatic to put him higher.
Vox, I would argue, is more of a pragmatist than outright evil. At an absolute minimum, he is very much conscious of the perceptions of others and knows how to present himself as polite and professional, to the point that he lets Velvette represent the Vees at the meeting of the overlords just to avoid conflicting with Alastor. He also deserves credit for understanding the value of teamwork -- for focusing on the shared power of "The Vees" to the point that he lets Velvette and Valentino also be counted as overlords even though the nature of their industries renders them completely dependent upon his own. Yes, he did delight in Alastor's downfall at the hands of Adam, but given how much misery Alastor caused him, I would describe that as being more cathartic than sadistic. And it's also worth noting that, of the three Vees, Vox was the only one who seemed genuinely happy to see the Hotel emerge victorious over Adam. He's evil for sure, but he never comes across as sadistic -- as someone who ENJOYS being evil. Which is why the only change I would make to your order would be to move Vox in between Velvette and Alastor, albeit with the understanding that, while Alastor is CURRENTLY more evil, he's also one of the characters with the most mobility and is very likely to wind up ahead of both Vees by the end of Season 2. I say "both" instead of "all three" for two reasons: Because Valentino rightfully deserves his place at the bottom, and because I honestly can't believe Valentino has survived as long as he has. Between his short temper and his incompetence, I thought for sure the final episode would have ended with HIS death, either at the hands of Alastor to deal a crippling blow against the Vees, or from Vox kicking him out of a top story window and into a dumpster full of blessed bayonets after he'd finally had enough of his shit.
I really liked your comment, definitely agree about Vox - but I would argue that Valentino is not incompetent, but hot-headed. He and Vox always seem to have various deals going, and we can surmise Val is probably connected to the drug trade, along with escorts, the club, and the porn. I think I'm the only person who doesn't like Velvette, but we'll see what season two has in store.
i love how wb gave the gold medal of good to their pets and surprised that lilith wasn't in any area, then again, she was only shown once but theories are growing like fire about her betrayal to her own family/ kingdom in hell. Great job!
Pretty sure it's confirmed that Alastor was a serial killer when he was alive. Some things even imply that he's cannibalistic. I would place him lower.

@@midniteraptor1474 Yeah first I saw the name in the cast and then I looked up the actor's acting career. I thought his voice actor sounded familiar during that one scene where Husks reveals to Angel that Husk was a former Overlord which is why I looked it up.
Rosie should be higher on the list (the overload cannibal) because she was actually very polite new guest in her area, she also calms Charlie down once she(Charlie) cusses at lady Susan and didn't shamed Charlie for dating a fallen angel such as vaggie Also her being a cannibal is in her nature since she's a cannibal overlord.
Technically he also carries an Overlord title as so did his wife, Lilith. It's much like how several of the Seven Deadly Princes are also Ars Goetia members, such as Asmodeus who is a King in the Ars Goetia (so a whole royal position above Stolas if not technically 2 if u count Duke as higher than a Prince) AND a prince of sin. Lucifer is a fallen angel, seven deadly prince, king of hell and a sovereign overlord. The man be collecting all them titles.
I do genuinely think Alastor is the most evil character in the show. He has always only been at the hotel for his entertainment, only stopping it's destruction as there'd be no show without it. He publicly broadcasts torture of people, stated that he'd be the one in complete control once he could fully unleash his power meaning he's just buying his time by being at the hotel and just straight up eats other demons for fun in 'defending' the hotel. Valentino abuses his employees and has no remorse for it, but Alastor actively tortures people eternally and broadcasts this torture to assert his dominance. Plus he threatened my boy Husker with the same treatment. Pure Evil.
Zestial probably must be really f*cking powerful considering the fact he's been in hell for centuries and people sh*t their pants if even he just breaths. Plus, he survived Alastor's Overlord Killing Time Period and all the exterminations.
I mean they're probably like cousins or niece and aunt. I think Emily is Sera's sister? And Lucifer came from that Rank as well, so you could _sorta_ see it that way.
I doubt Alastor is actually fond of Charlie. He probably needs her to break out of whatever deal he is in. And acting like he cares is the way to Charlie's heart and trust. Despite Charlie not using her power, she is powerful as the princess of hell. He needs her to break free of whatever he's in. He waited for her to be at her lowest and used the timing of her conflict with Vaggie to make a deal with her. As Vaggie was the common sense that kept Charlie from making a deal before. He needed to defend the hotel so Charlie would still be alive and able to complete their deal. (Adam would have killed Charlie when given the chance.) That wasnt from the goodness of his heart. Any time he defended the hotel prior was also prior to their deal. He needed to stay on their good side. He didnt like mimzy bringing danger to the hotel because she was interfering with his plan. Not because he cared for the hotel. In dad beat dad he sings he cares for charlie just to piss lucifer off. And in the entirety of episode 7 you can see by his expressions (and reflection!!!) he is only plotting to use Charlie. Demanding a deal instead of just giving the information to her. So conclusion. He is definitely not fond of Charlie. She's just a major pawn of his master plan and he cant afford to get on his bad side. I understand how people desperately want him to care and become good. Or even that his mystery deal turns out to be that hes forced to protect Charlie. Which seems farfetched. He's clearly set up to be a big villain and I wish more people saw that. As all the clues are there.

@that_icy_stylish_bitch thing is ,in life, he was probably a good person, but in the present time of the series, he quite literally suggested the genocide of the demons and calls it "entratainment" ; which means that he has actually killed way more people than all of the overlords combined(and as we saw in Vaggy's backstory, children were not spared) It's not the attitude that puts him among the worst, it's the permanent murder of immortal souls.
@@dDoodle788the permanent murder, of souls deemed worthy of damnation twice, as thanks to sir pentious's revival, we know that once a sinner is killed their soul is judged again. I'm glad you included Sera in the Grey Area. I've seen so many people just blindly hate on her when, in reality, she likely knows just as much as we do. She doesn't know what gets people into Heaven or Hell, and she was there when Lucifer was cast out for questioning the system. So she's simply operating off of the information she knows. I'm betting good money that we're gonna get a heart wrenching song from her in Season 2 going over her internal crisis of this revelation.
I don't hate Sera at all, I know she's aware about allowing the Extermination to happen. But she at least did it for a reason and she isn't malicious or anything. She's just a hypocrite.
@@rainbowtoyfunrandomess1982 how tho? I've analyzed her to death. I can't see it. She allows the extermination to happen but she already stated her reasoning. A pretty darn good reason too. Wanting to protect your people isn't a bad thing. Why should she extend live and compassion towards murderers, rapists, cannibals, and who knows what else? Her deals aren't "Goodness to all". Of that were the case, she WOULD be a hypocrite. Anyway, I get the feeling she actually knows more than us. Her decision is probably traced back to Lillith being in heaven
Lucifer was cast out not for questioning the system but for to have given the fruit of knowledge to eve which permited that the evil find his way into earth creating the hell and introducing the sin into the world.
Don't know if anyone read this but I have a self theory about Hazbin Hotel last ep of ss2 and ss3; is going about Cain - the first killer and one of the first Overlord in Hell who takes incharge after Lilith's disappearance, since Lucifer doesn't care much for over 10,000 years. He agreed the same opinion likes his dad Adam that sinners are not worthy for redemption as his first crime he has carried, while having a plan that prove Sera's thought comes true : declare the war against Heaven to crush Charlie's ideal and her friends for good (secretly). Meanwhile Abel - The First Killed who discovered his brother's true intention during their encounter has decided to help Emily convince High Seraphim (or even Gods) to seize their "last punishment" upon Hell bc before that Cain had ruined everything , even accepted to be a Fallen to aid Charlie during their battle against Cain and the Fourth Knights. Edit :Srry for bad grammars :)

S1E4 is my favorite. Yes it’s hard to watch and I cry every time during the scene in Angel’s dressing room, but it’s written so masterfully. Heartbreaking but also amazing at the same time. @@WickedBinge Right. That’s why those are my top 2. Love that episode despite how devastating it is to watch. I watch a lot of true crime shows and 80 to 85% involve SA, and the fact that a cartoon can tackle the subject just as well as those true crime shows, it’s amazing writing.
I love how we have in the same team we have Charlie the nicest character in hell and at same time we have Alastor one of the most sadistic and immoral character in the series
@@XoraciousThe point is evil people can do good things and still deserve punishment. Would you say the same about Valentino if he was also a Mama's boy and had a nice friendship?
@@that_icy_stylish_bitch Well, they're not pure evil. Literally the thing that they were uncertain about is if Alastor is pure evil. Not about if he isn't evil. It's already obvious that Alastor is the villain, what's not obvious where Alastor should be put in. Pure Evil, Near Pure Evil, Inconsistently Heinous or Villainous Benchmark.
@rainbowtoyfunrandomess1982 I mean, to be fair, it is Hell so such things aren't too out of place, and Sinners are a renewable food source (they reform or respawn unless it was angelic steel that harmed them), unlike anything Hellborn, sentient or otherwise.
I think Adam deserves first place in the gray area here is why: He’s been spoiled his whole life for being the first man ever so he lacks discipline for his actions even alastor said that during there fight
Dude he just said that a r4p1st is more evil than a cannibal, serial killer both alive and dead who transmitted the screams of his tortured victims on the radio💀
The difference is, Alastor at least shows some level of redeeming qualities. Yeah, obviously he's far from great, but Valentino shows no regard for literally anyone and preys on people who can't do anything about it. At this time, Alastor's likely not going to bother you unless you give him a reason to, and he's being actively helpful towards Charlie. There is nothing good to say about Valentino.
@@electroshockgamer2733 Even then, you can't really say Valentino is more evil than Adam, a literal war criminal. You wouldn't see people saying Bill Cosby was more evil than Hitler
People like to compare Val’s treatment of Angel to Al’s treatment of Husk. I feel like Valentino is worse to Angel on a daily basis. But if Alastor wanted to, he has the capacity to punish Husker in a worse manner than Val ever could with Angel. It’s like comparing an abusive partner to SCP-106.
Yea. People give alastor a pass but like- dude threatened to torture husk cause he was mad. Alastor is ‘better’ because he usually lets husk do anything unless he needs him. But like- that ep ruined Al for me.
@@CreativeProjectsRUs To be honest, the fans needed a reminder that Alastor is fully an evil sadist; just because he's generally civil and charismatic, doesn't change those traits.
Val is worse. I would take anything Alastor could do over the s*xual violence and slavery Angel endures. R*pe is worse than double death or demonic torture. Aside from crimes against children, it's the worst thing I can think of.

18:41 Actually, the death of the Exorcist Angel is what made him move the timetable up. It's presumably why he called the meeting in the first place.
I'm sure he did absolutely relish in showing a scroll saying "!##$ you, I do what I want"

Another thing about Alastor is that he was a serial killer before he died-more evil points for that.
However, the creator of Hazbin Hotel said he didn’t “go after just ANYONE”.
I think it was also mentioned that he'd eat his victims too
If I recall correctly, he was compared to Dexter.
Lute still killed way more
Same here
Bro cannibal killer 😰
Between his short temper and his incompetence, I thought for sure the final episode would have ended with HIS death, either at the hands of Alastor to deal a crippling blow against the Vees, or from Vox kicking him out of a top story window and into a dumpster full of blessed bayonets after he'd finally had enough of his shit.
wow. alastor and vox at the same table. They'll make all the other overlords wish that they'd stayed gone
I absolutely love that Nifty Is your 0 for absolute chaos and absolute amnesty.
i love how wb gave the gold medal of good to their pets and surprised that lilith wasn't in any area, then again, she was only shown once but theories are growing like fire about her betrayal to her own family/ kingdom in hell. Great job!

As well as The President from Rick and Morty
Rosie should be higher on the list (the overload cannibal) because she was actually very polite new guest in her area, she also calms Charlie down once she(Charlie) cusses at lady Susan and didn't shamed Charlie for dating a fallen angel such as vaggie
Also her being a cannibal is in her nature since she's a cannibal overlord.
She doesn't cuss out Susan, Charlie does.
Alastor doesn't directly cuss her out, but he does refer to her as an "ornery old b---h."
Comparing Niffty to GIR is wholesome in my eyes 😂.
“See more of this overlord in the future”
You did NOT just call Lucifer an overlord did you??? He’s WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY beyond that.
Pure Evil.
Zestial is one of the oldest Overlords, if his vernacular means anything. People are probably scared of him because he's been in power for so long.
Zestial probably must be really f*cking powerful considering the fact he's been in hell for centuries and people sh*t their pants if even he just breaths. Plus, he survived Alastor's Overlord Killing Time Period and all the exterminations.
11:09 “a toddler on cocaine”
perfect description of her.
Yeah.😅
The fact that Emily and Charlie were both right to each other on this ranking shows how similar they are. They give me best friend / sister vibes fr
Alastair has been presented as a subtle genius but he's as subtle as an uppercut to the b*lls
Why in tf did Charlie ever trust him?
Of course!! Alastor is the most evil! He is just so mysterious! Thats what psychopaths do! They hide their true nature but then show it!
Even Charlie said that I mean she said: Im just bad as the cruelest overlord in hell
And Alastor showed like: Oh did you mean me?
So of course Alastor is more evil! Just hides some nature of him
Of course Valentino is more evil in that abuse others even sexualy

@that_icy_stylish_bitch thing is ,in life, he was probably a good person, but in the present time of the series, he quite literally suggested the genocide of the demons and calls it "entratainment" ; which means that he has actually killed way more people than all of the overlords combined(and as we saw in Vaggy's backstory, children were not spared)

Thank you WickedBinge for doing this video. And don't worry, there will be a 2nd season. I think sometime next year, I believe.
