Nice video. I've been a ProTools user for 25 years as well. I have always had a love hate relationship with PT for all the reasons everyone else does. I've gone back and forth between different DAW hoping to find a DAW that excites me, and LUNA was the first one to inspire me since PT, but I had to put LUNA on the shelf for a little over a year because it didn't support Kontakt multi-tracking. It now supports multi-tracking, so now I will probably breakup with PT. I just don't know how to tell her yet. lol
Oh I totally understand where you’re coming from. I have to projects slotted for this fall and I’m going to attempt them in Luna. However I can see if you would need to use the daw for bigger post projects pro tools I feel is still the way to go
@@nickiden at the moment I’m going to continue to record in PT, but will experiment with exporting the stems out to LUNA for mixing purposes. My very first time mixing in LUNA was my absolute best mix I had ever done since I’ve been creating music. I have a project that I’m pitching for a Christmas show at a theme park where I performed for many years. It’s just a demo so I will probably mix the entire thing in LUNA. Wish me luck.
Good on ya! After being primarily a ProTools shop for 15+ years, we went all in and got an Apollo X8P and learned (and are still learning) Luna as our main DAW. For me, the API console and tape emulation alone are worth the price of admission, but we've bought a huge amount of plugs an extensions by this point too. The whole thing really is geared toward people who love and revere analog sound and workflow. It's crazy that we live in a world where we have access to a lot of what made recording (for me) in the early/mid 80s so special, without the headaches - and massive expense - that come from maintaining an analog console environment. With a good MCU controller, you really do feel like you're driving a classic rig most of the time. Very inspiring.
Oww I’ll add I use a couple touch screen left and right side which allows mix window one side and using all ssl controllers as my console uf8 uf 1 uc1 so the 360 software on the other with touch bein my finger if needed quick

I use the zoom feature by following the Steps Below. For me, I set it to the option key and the scroll wheel to zoom in and out of anything and it works quickly and pretty smooth. When you return to the original starting point, it will go back to normal. Go to Apple menu > System Settings Click Accessibility in the sidebar Click Zoom Turn on Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom Click the Modifier key for scroll gesture pop-up menu Choose a modifier key (Control, Option, or Command)
Great overview! I've been playing around with Luna a bit lately. Still figuring out where and how to do a lot of things that are second nature for me in Studio One. I agree that the screen is a bit crowded (especially on my 16" MacBook Pro screen), but there's a lot that I really like about it. I like that it has a feel of good old traditional recording and it hasn't crashed on me once. There are still a few quirky things, but they keep releasing updates that make it more and more usable - Bounce/Render audio most recently. As far as the expense of the plugins, Spark is a great option if you catch it on sale. That's come a long way as well. I've been picking up their native plugins here and there as they are on sale which makes them very affordable (and no WUP like Waves).
Moving from reasson 12 to luna gradually. Doing all my stuff in it now. Getting the hang of it. I love it. .. The extensions are top notch and the feel of the the DAW ye inspires you. It's like having a virtual digital amalog console in front of you .. foe plugjns I'm using kontakt 14 std. . The shape has some great sounds though very limited. .. ❤
Great video man! A recommended addition if you're on Mac is to add the Accessibility feature "Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom". This way you can hold ctrl key and zoom using the mouse/trackpad to zoom into the interface a bit, helps reading and setting things on the different consoles on a smaller screen.

Luna just recently added very nicely implemented multi-out for vsts. I’d wager the other most requested features (hw inserts and more advanced midi feature set) will show up eventually. Never know when because ua is quiet.
It'd definitely on it''s way. The problem is that their development plan is centred mostly around the feedback button in LUNA, so unless you're a regular user, they're not going to hear what people who can't or don't use it because of the pretty big missing things. It's a closed feedback loop. The main things missing for me are hardware inserts - time compensated, ARA2 Integration and a proper grown up midi editing system like Cubase. I think many people, including myself, have given up on LUNA entirely because of these and other things. I gave up and sold my Apollo X8P's and satellites and went with RME. I am very, very happy with that choice. Saying that, they have finally just integrated Multiple Outs. They've done a good job of that, give them their due, that must be said.
Disagree. UA has been smart about this. They don’t seem to be interested in trying to be an all-thing-to-everyone product. Instead they are playing to their strengths (audio, software emulations of analog hardware) and taking aim at a part of the market where the offerings are kind of weak. Namely Pro Tools and Studio One. Presonus is feeling the pressure and upping their game in response. Pro Tools….well Avid is being Avid is being Avid. Trying to take on Cubase in the MIDI arena is not good move for a very young DAW.
I have now switched from Win Cubase to OSX Logic to Luna after ~20 years. Especially the “ARM” mode for latency-free recordings without buffersize problems is so much better than in Logic. I like it and haven't had Logic open for 12 months.
You can use Cubase without any latency too. Luna is not better. I began with Cubase with Atari. There is a same kind of ARM in Cubase and you can add more plug ins than in Luna while recording.without any latency too.
@@christoph8605yes, same with logic, but you can’t monitor with plugins and no latency without using console, which is the problem Luna is solving, in all other daws and interfaces you only can monitor the dry audio with no latency.
I'm trialling LUNA in Windows, which has different audio hardware setup options, I'm too looking forward for LUNA to be my main DAW, once the useability is better. No crashes at all, but there are lots of technical issues on Windows OS platform. Yes, hardware insert option is a must for me too.
It’s up and down on windows, but lots of rapid updates so far, and ua doesn’t have a track record of abandoning software: most of their oldest plugins are still updated and working on new os’s and daws etc, and Luna Mac has been around awhile now.
I've had the Apollo for a few years now with Luna but I have never used either. Do you think that UA are still working out any bugs or is it pretty smooth? It's just me doing one instrument at a time with minimal plugins (when I don't overthink shit) but sometimes you just need to layer 9 guitars and put a birthday cake of effects on each of them.
I’ve been using Luna on MacOS and it’s been solid. I know it was a bit buggy on windows but I think a lot of that’s been worked out. It you do use it I think you will like it :D. What OS are you running?
Luna is an interesting DAW. I have taken a little time to play around with the Windows version of Luna. I mostly track with Harrison Mixbus now, which is my preferred DAW. Doesn't sound anywhere near as good as MixBus but it's promising for sure Let's see where UA goes with this once all of the clinks are ironed out.
Hi, great content! I’d like to ask a question: did you notice a volume difference on the input compared to pro tools? I’m asking because I’ve noticed that when I use a guitar plugin in Logic pro, such as Helix, Neural or others, when I use the same plugin in Luna with the same audio interface settings, the input level is way higher, to the point that a clean amp sounds like a crunch one! Thanks a lot
I assume this is the MacOS version you're using. How is it compared to the Windows version? I'm getting ready to pick up an M4 Mac Mini, and I wanna try Luna there until I have enought to pick up Logic Pro, but if it's as buggy as the Windows version, forget it. I suspect it probably isn't anywhere near that buggy; after all, they offer a paid Luna Pro option for 200 bucks. It's gotta be at least borderline usable.
Yeah I’m running the macOS version on a M1 and it’s been solid. I think the windows version is better now but if you are using macOS with a M4 it should be zero issues.

COMPING FOR MIDI (ableton let u comp midi too which is life-changing) 3.) MORE MIDI FEATURES (articulation set like logic will be a killer or some Ableton's midi capabilities) wish to open midi region in new floating window 4.) **FREEZE TRACK UP TO INSERT (Like Protools) 5.) FROZEN REGION DRAGABLE TO NEW TRACK AS AUDIO (So Useful when sequencing and arranging like in Ableton) 6.) **IMPORT SESSION DATA FROM TEMPLATE OR OTHER SESSION FILE would speed up a tons for workflow 7.) **MAKE INACTIVE FOR PLUGINS AND TRACKS to save the processing power (has a lot in my protools template but deactivate plugins only does not save the CPU) 8.) Good question. I think the daw will work but if you have the pro bundle it might not because it syncs with ilok cloud. I’ll double check and let you know
@@nickidenYou replace iLok Cloud with an iLok key if you want to work offline. Each plugin has 2 activations so you can have one in the cloud and one on the key (usb)
I'm just not sure why I would treat Luna just like MIX BUS. And that's that I only use these DAWs to try summing through them. But why in hell would I not edit audio in Studio 1 or protools and them process the stems in LUNA.
LUNA for 1 year now. Still don’t get “logic” of the cursor placement when tooling around the DAW window…. And why would one want to select all the tracks in one instance when mousing over TRACKS?
I’m one of those guys who’s heavily invested in the UAD ecosystem. I already owned nearly all of the UAD made plugins before Luna was a thing. It’s beautiful and I’d love to switch. Maybe someone can help. How do you stop the edit screen from moving up and down when you’re trying to manually scroll right or left? It’s very annoying. And 2ndly, is there a way to link alternate windows? Why are they there if you can’t link them? It’s been years and to my knowledge, these things still haven’t been addressed??
@@nickiden I hope so too mate, but I asked 3 years ago on the UAD forum, so I asked again very recently and the UA admin responded saying “when or IF it’s implemented” - which suggests that it’s not coming, though the guy “neither confirmed or denied”. This is basically alienating anyone with hardware, which is insanity 😭😭😭

@@jamesjames77777 For what it’s worth, I do think UAD does a fairly good job listening to their user base and Luna will eventually be patched to include inserts. After all, some people own an actual 1176 ;)
I see a number of comments from Avid PT users considering switching to UAD. I can only guess that some people like to be abused, and they're looking for a new abuser. Also, switching from a has been around forever industry standard, to a DAW that's very much under development, and whose future is uncertain would be a highly questionable move - if music is your business. Full disclosure, software is my business, and making music is fun and therapy.
Those great points. I think if you are an established engineer using protools I’d stick with it. My video was really only touching on music production, if you are an audio engineer that does other forms of audio like adr I wouldn’t switch.

I’m only in my first decade of music production, and I’m not going to lie I like PT (I’m FL GANG), but I tried LUNA for a bit and it’s absolutely fantastic… I just want them to go native with AUX tracks, the price of an APOLLO be crazy cause I like to PRINT while tracking. This is my one thing, oh and the comping could be better, switching versions trips me up at times
The midi is not flexible enough compared to Logic. If you are used to a DAW, personally, I stick with with it. If you are tracking audio with a band, Luna may well be great, however, if you compose, then Logic more than does the job, as well as handle audio.
That is a very good point. I love using for Luna for music production. But if you do any other type of audio production there are definitely other daws better for sure
I’m not sure a lot of people are using the free version of Luna because all the good stuff is in the Luna PRO bundle and the other Universal Audio native plugins. Luna is really good to track a band, do the mix and mastering but if you deal with a lot of virtual or midi instruments, the midi editor is really bad.
@@bobbyarthur-yf3yf I’m using bitwig for the creative part and once everything is done and the rough mix sounds good in Bitwig, I export the audio stems on all the tracks with most audio effects off and send everything to Luna for final mixing and mastering.
The midi implementation is absolutely horrible in this daw. That. Being said. I really look forward to making the switch once they get that sorted. It’s got some great features, sounds great and looks great. I really wish I could work with their team to fix the midi. It’s eventually going to be a great daw

HW Inserts HW INSERTS.. HW INSERTS! I've been asking them since the LUNA epoch, you say it's coming?? I don't believe it at this point. Yes you can send the entire mix out and then sauce up your two bus etc, as you need not time correction on everything at once, but we who have spent untold money on comps eqs etc that want to mix with these jewels.... don't see it happening. And it's a deal breaker.... and it's an inspiring DAW!! My guess is UA thinks it would bite into their plugin business, so it's a business decision not to support real hw that might displace a plugin. Too bad, as I would immediate burn my Avid affiliation and jump from PT to LUNA. UA, what do we have to do for this? Pay for LUNA? Got my check book open guys!
It’ll be good some day but not tOday. Windows version is very very unstable, as betas tend to be but this is like 3rd or 4th version for updates. Not good. Eventually they’ll get out of beta stage.

The only what i wanted to know is, if Luna now can run on Windows 10, because last August it was not possible to use it on Windows 10, it have crashed constantly. But you are on Mac, like all who make You Tube Videos about Luna. MAC is for me selve to use a no go...

The only problem i have now, is, with my Motu HD192s only the Imputs are working, but i get no sound output from the Luna monitor. I can not hear the mix. Only if i use VoiceMeter Software as "Audiodevice" i can hear the monitor output from Luna, but in this configuration i have no audio inputs from my HD 192s. For me Windows 10 works perfect, only the Luna Software have still bugs. Do not use Windows 11 !!!!!!!!!!! By the last Windows 11 update, is the Telemetry and all stuff with them microsoft spy on us, inplemented in the File Explorer: If you cut out the Telemetry, the whole File Explorer will no more work and with this the whole Windows 11 gets brocken. Windows 11 will collect the whole data about you, all and every step you do with your Computer. All what goes trough your File Explorer, will be stored on the microsoft servers...

Look at their constant sales and native version, loosing their direction instead of improving the external dsp like even avid dud with the carbon. Look at what RME did the last few years with totalmix (room eq, analysers, complex loopback) and their sophisticated selection of products for professionals. In the meanwhile UA is releasing 200 usd volt interfaces and cheap sm7b ripoffs. They have totally lost touch to their core customers base.

Because I was very much against universal audio, mainly due to the fact that they were using dated DSP chips and charging way too much for those DSP chips essentially screwing over people. Now that they are evolving in getting into the 21st-century and bringing stuff to native I am now a happy universal audio user. The only thing I can see most people being angry or not liking universal audio at this point in time. They invested so much into the DSP aspect of it, and there was an element of elitism to being a universal audio user and now that’s gone. I’m still a little bit confused about the Apollo interfaces that they just brought out. I think for the most part, the DSP chips are a waste of money and it would be nice to have an Apollo interface that doesn’t have that. My RE interface already has the room EQ function already built into it so I don’t need that. The only thing that they have on those Apollo that I would actually be interested in is the unison stuff.
Luna is like an old version of Pro Tools that lacks so much of what is needed for a professional workflow! I understand UA's marketing strategy of wanting to implement plugins and analog summing options in the DAW, but it doesn't really do as much as is generally claimed! - People who know analog gear would rather refuse LUNA and those who have no experience with it don't know how to use this stuff! A lot of hype, nothing more!
I do agree with you about it being like a older version of PT in the sense that some of the features needed aren’t there yet. But I think like Pro Tools they will be added eventually if Luna can maintain itself in the market. I think there are a lot of people out there including myself who have a ton of analog gear experience but still like to work in the box. Even if i had access to a ton analog gear I wouldn’t refuse Luna.
LUNA is probably the worst DAW I have ever used. It violates the 5-click rule to a ridiculous degree. I dont know why anyone would use this when Reaper does more with two clicks. Good video by the way. LUNA is just not for me.
@@nickiden Absolutely, default Reaper theme is a no-go, like most default things in Reaper. I am sure someone will come up with Luna skin rather soon though. But you can't beat Reaper feature wise. I recently had to compare Reaper vs Ableton for EDM production (time-line based, not live clips) and to my surprise with the same money spent on Reaper and relevant plugins it surpasses Ableton in absolutely any aspect by far. The biggest problem though would be to spend a week googling foruming all the quadzillions Reaper features, addons and scripts....

I think you will like it :D. I haven’t done much with Midi yet with Luna, but I have done some arrangement with song parts and it worked very well

Yeah I heard they released the multi out on plug ins. They have been pretty good for updates so hopefully the hw inserts is coming down the pipeline

You can use Cubase without any latency too. Luna is not better. I began with Cubase with Atari. There is a same kind of ARM in Cubase and you can add more plug ins than in Luna while recording.without any latency too.

@@christoph8605yes, same with logic, but you can’t monitor with plugins and no latency without using console, which is the problem Luna is solving, in all other daws and interfaces you only can monitor the dry audio with no latency.
I use 55” tv monitors for my Luna recordings. Helps with my old eyes.
I'm trialling LUNA in Windows, which has different audio hardware setup options, I'm too looking forward for LUNA to be my main DAW, once the useability is better. No crashes at all, but there are lots of technical issues on Windows OS platform.

It’s up and down on windows, but lots of rapid updates so far, and ua doesn’t have a track record of abandoning software: most of their oldest plugins are still updated and working on new os’s and daws etc, and Luna Mac has been around awhile now.
LUNA hasn’t successfully opened yet in Windows for me. It’s starts to open and quits before opening the program.

I've had the Apollo for a few years now with Luna but I have never used either. Do you think that UA are still working out any bugs or is it pretty smooth? It's just me doing one instrument at a time with minimal plugins (when I don't overthink shit) but sometimes you just need to layer 9 guitars and put a birthday cake of effects on each of them.

Luna is an interesting DAW. I have taken a little time to play around with the Windows version of Luna. I mostly track with Harrison Mixbus now, which is my preferred DAW. Doesn't sound anywhere near as good as MixBus but it's promising for sure Let's see where UA goes with this once all of the clinks are ironed out.
Hi, great content! I’d like to ask a question: did you notice a volume difference on the input compared to pro tools? I’m asking because I’ve noticed that when I use a guitar plugin in Logic pro, such as Helix, Neural or others, when I use the same plugin in Luna with the same audio interface settings, the input level is way higher, to the point that a clean amp sounds like a crunch one! Thanks a lot

I assume this is the MacOS version you're using. How is it compared to the Windows version? I'm getting ready to pick up an M4 Mac Mini, and I wanna try Luna there until I have enought to pick up Logic Pro, but if it's as buggy as the Windows version, forget it. I suspect it probably isn't anywhere near that buggy; after all, they offer a paid Luna Pro option for 200 bucks. It's gotta be at least borderline usable.
Yeah I’m running the macOS version on a M1 and it’s been solid. I think the windows version is better now but if you are using macOS with a M4 it should be zero issues.

1.) ***BETTER COMPING SYSTEM (Ableton & Logic comping is great IMO / I'm also a protools user which i find it great too but not as intuitive)
2.) COMPING FOR MIDI (ableton let u comp midi too which is life-changing)
3.) MORE MIDI FEATURES (articulation set like logic will be a killer or some Ableton's midi capabilities) wish to open midi region in new floating window
4.) **FREEZE TRACK UP TO INSERT (Like Protools)
5.) FROZEN REGION DRAGABLE TO NEW TRACK AS AUDIO (So Useful when sequencing and arranging like in Ableton)
6.) **IMPORT SESSION DATA FROM TEMPLATE OR OTHER SESSION FILE would speed up a tons for workflow
7.) **MAKE INACTIVE FOR PLUGINS AND TRACKS to save the processing power (has a lot in my protools template but deactivate plugins only does not save the CPU)
8.) SSL and Neve Vision Emulation would make Luna top of the game

Good question. I think the daw will work but if you have the pro bundle it might not because it syncs with ilok cloud. I’ll double check and let you know
@@nickidenYou replace iLok Cloud with an iLok key if you want to work offline. Each plugin has 2 activations so you can have one in the cloud and one on the key (usb)

I'm just not sure why I would treat Luna just like MIX BUS. And that's that I only use these DAWs to try summing through them. But why in hell would I not edit audio in Studio 1 or protools and them process the stems in LUNA.

To label the tracks different you have to have the number of new track boxes as many tracks as u want and you name them different there.
LUNA for 1 year now. Still don’t get “logic” of the cursor placement when tooling around the DAW window…. And why would one want to select all the tracks in one instance when mousing over TRACKS?
I’m one of those guys who’s heavily invested in the UAD ecosystem. I already owned nearly all of the UAD made plugins before Luna was a thing. It’s beautiful and I’d love to switch. Maybe someone can help. How do you stop the edit screen from moving up and down when you’re trying to manually scroll right or left? It’s very annoying. And 2ndly, is there a way to link alternate windows? Why are they there if you can’t link them? It’s been years and to my knowledge, these things still haven’t been addressed??

@@nickiden I hope so too mate, but I asked 3 years ago on the UAD forum, so I asked again very recently and the UA admin responded saying “when or IF it’s implemented” - which suggests that it’s not coming, though the guy “neither confirmed or denied”. This is basically alienating anyone with hardware, which is insanity 😭😭😭

I see a number of comments from Avid PT users considering switching to UAD. I can only guess that some people like to be abused, and they're looking for a new abuser. Also, switching from a has been around forever industry standard, to a DAW that's very much under development, and whose future is uncertain would be a highly questionable move - if music is your business. Full disclosure, software is my business, and making music is fun and therapy.
Those great points. I think if you are an established engineer using protools I’d stick with it. My video was really only touching on music production, if you are an audio engineer that does other forms of audio like adr I wouldn’t switch.
It’s crazy how people like Luna but never tried Cakewalk which was free and had the channel strip workflow mastered.

The midi is not flexible enough compared to Logic. If you are used to a DAW, personally, I stick with with it. If you are tracking audio with a band, Luna may well be great, however, if you compose, then Logic more than does the job, as well as handle audio.
That is a very good point. I love using for Luna for music production. But if you do any other type of audio production there are definitely other daws better for sure
custom shortcuts and clip fx or at least an option to use an external editor for clip processing. otherwise I won't attempt to switch...

I’m not sure a lot of people are using the free version of Luna because all the good stuff is in the Luna PRO bundle and the other Universal Audio native plugins. Luna is really good to track a band, do the mix and mastering but if you deal with a lot of virtual or midi instruments, the midi editor is really bad.

Agreed. The MIDI workflow is really basic and is its main weakness. If it weren’t this, LUNA would be the only DAW I use right now.

@@bobbyarthur-yf3yf I’m using bitwig for the creative part and once everything is done and the rough mix sounds good in Bitwig, I export the audio stems on all the tracks with most audio effects off and send everything to Luna for final mixing and mastering.
Until Luna gets Melodyne integration within tracks … I’ll stick with Studio One.

HW Inserts HW INSERTS.. HW INSERTS! I've been asking them since the LUNA epoch, you say it's coming?? I don't believe it at this point. Yes you can send the entire mix out and then sauce up your two bus etc, as you need not time correction on everything at once, but we who have spent untold money on comps eqs etc that want to mix with these jewels.... don't see it happening. And it's a deal breaker.... and it's an inspiring DAW!! My guess is UA thinks it would bite into their plugin business, so it's a business decision not to support real hw that might displace a plugin. Too bad, as I would immediate burn my Avid affiliation and jump from PT to LUNA. UA, what do we have to do for this? Pay for LUNA? Got my check book open guys!

The only what i wanted to know is, if Luna now can run on Windows 10, because last August it was not possible to use it on Windows 10, it have crashed constantly.

It works great on Windows 11. I would upgrade as Windows 10 was problematic with a lot of things.

The only problem i have now, is, with my Motu HD192s only the Imputs are working, but i get no sound output from the Luna monitor. I can not hear the mix. Only if i use VoiceMeter Software as "Audiodevice" i can hear the monitor output from Luna, but in this configuration i have no audio inputs from my HD 192s.
For me Windows 10 works perfect, only the Luna Software have still bugs.

Look at their constant sales and native version, loosing their direction instead of improving the external dsp like even avid dud with the carbon. Look at what RME did the last few years with totalmix (room eq, analysers, complex loopback) and their sophisticated selection of products for professionals. In the meanwhile UA is releasing 200 usd volt interfaces and cheap sm7b ripoffs. They have totally lost touch to their core customers base.

Because I was very much against universal audio, mainly due to the fact that they were using dated DSP chips and charging way too much for those DSP chips essentially screwing over people. Now that they are evolving in getting into the 21st-century and bringing stuff to native I am now a happy universal audio user.
The only thing I can see most people being angry or not liking universal audio at this point in time. They invested so much into the DSP aspect of it, and there was an element of elitism to being a universal audio user and now that’s gone.
I’m still a little bit confused about the Apollo interfaces that they just brought out. I think for the most part, the DSP chips are a waste of money and it would be nice to have an Apollo interface that doesn’t have that. My RE interface already has the room EQ function already built into it so I don’t need that. The only thing that they have on those Apollo that I would actually be interested in is the unison stuff.
Luna is like an old version of Pro Tools that lacks so much of what is needed for a professional workflow! I understand UA's marketing strategy of wanting to implement plugins and analog summing options in the DAW, but it doesn't really do as much as is generally claimed! - People who know analog gear would rather refuse LUNA and those who have no experience with it don't know how to use this stuff! A lot of hype, nothing more!
I do agree with you about it being like a older version of PT in the sense that some of the features needed aren’t there yet. But I think like Pro Tools they will be added eventually if Luna can maintain itself in the market. I think there are a lot of people out there including myself who have a ton of analog gear experience but still like to work in the box. Even if i had access to a ton analog gear I wouldn’t refuse Luna.

LUNA is probably the worst DAW I have ever used. It violates the 5-click rule to a ridiculous degree. I dont know why anyone would use this when Reaper does more with two clicks. Good video by the way. LUNA is just not for me.

@@nickiden Absolutely, default Reaper theme is a no-go, like most default things in Reaper. I am sure someone will come up with Luna skin rather soon though. But you can't beat Reaper feature wise. I recently had to compare Reaper vs Ableton for EDM production (time-line based, not live clips) and to my surprise with the same money spent on Reaper and relevant plugins it surpasses Ableton in absolutely any aspect by far. The biggest problem though would be to spend a week googling foruming all the quadzillions Reaper features, addons and scripts....
