I work out 5 times a week for an 1.5 hours. i am sixty, fit but suffer with depression all my life and for the last couple of years anxiety. Fitness keeps me sane x
Good on you, Susan. Fitness is one of the best ways to manage depression and anxiety. I wonder if you would be interested in guided meditations which might help on the harder days combined with your exercise? It’s a great way to just be kind and gentle on yourself.
Hi Davina, I suffer from health anxiety and it’s so refreshing hearing you talk about your mental health and the importance of exercising. I don’t do enough exercise but when I do I always feel better. Xx
Totally agree with you! The first lockdown I was so depressed , stayed in bed all day and felt very anxious, this time round I’m determined to get up early everyday and do workouts as it really helps my mental health. Love your honesty xxx
Don’t feel pressured Davina! It is so lovely and refreshing to see you in your natural environment being your bubbly self at home with your kids and Bo 🐶🥰
Just wanted to say Davina. Thanks so much for OYG. After diagnosed with ovarian cancer and then chemo and then to contract covid-19 this year. September I decided to subscribe to OYG. I've lost 3 inches off my waist and feel so good. Thank you...thank you...😘
Davina love your energy. It’s incredibly important for us all to look after our physical and mental health. Our health service was on its knees before COVID it’s on its arse now. Time for everyone to take responsibility for their own well-being. Keep inspiring us 🦋
I honestly love you so much! I started my fitness journey 3 years ago and tipped the scale at 20 stone. Foolishly I became obsessed with undereating and overexercising and lost 11 stone and because very thin. Although I gain some weight back and am now trying to find my happy medium, over the course of the 3 years I have to give you thanks for igniting my love of fitness. Since buying my very first fitness DVD (which was 5 weeks to fit) I fell in love with all types of training, but especially the feeling you get from a good workout. I'm now on my own journey studying to become a part of the fitness industry.....but honestly wanted to say that if it wasn't for you and your motivation I don't think I'd be where I am now. You are my idol and a total inspiration!
Just wanted to say how much I love your Chanel. I rang This Morning to chat and tell you but unfortunately didn't get picked. I was diagnosed this March with Brain cancer and I turned 40 August just gone. You've really made lockdown for me less lonely. My 3 kids love you too. Xxxx
Nothing wrong with Exercise Davina. You do as much as you like. I love exercise it helps me on many levels. I walk every evening, whatever the weather for a few hours, it keeps me sane. I also workouts a few times a week. I got healthy and got to a weight I was comfortable with over 6 years ago and have maintained it since. I was shocked how many snipes other people had over me being slimmer, things like I’m “too slim” “I need to eat a burger” “I need to stop exercising” “I look ill” etc. People should mind their own business and keep their opinions to themselves...unless asked for it. You look amazing 🤩
A great video Davina I love how honest you are about your mental health. I have been furloughed since April and exercise has been my saviour. Some days I wake up feeling panicky and lost but if I do even just 30 mins of something that makes me out of breath I feel in control again. I too am avoiding the news it sends me into a tailspin !
Snap I love exercise too I’ve been working from home 8-10 hour days since March and exercise is getting me through this tough time I’m grateful I’m still working as I know so many people have lost their jobs and it makes me sad thinking of the hard times people are going through but I truly believe a walk, exercise is great for your mental health, loving the blogs xx
I too am struggling with 2nd lockdown. I've started walking for an hour each morning which involves a big incline. By the end of lockdown I'm hoping to be able to run up it. I will listen to the tune you have recommended hoping it will get me to the top! Thanks for being so open in your vid. ❤ Best wishes to everyone. x
Thank you so much for this Davina...I've been working at home since the first lockdown and hardly been out of the front door but when I have I've done some amazing walks in the Peak District with my husband and it was so uplifting. That's it now, I am going to get my arse out of the house and do some daily walks....we don't know how long this covid business will go on for...I work in mental health but have been putting myself on the 'back burner'....thanks so much for your inspiration xx

Your just so lovely and so real xxx I love to watch your videos / I to workout lots ... and I do this more for mental health than any other reason ... I’m a better person when I workout ... I can focus and I can deal with so much more so much better xxxxx you are fab !!

Thanks so much for your inspiration. I have also struggled a lot with my mental health during this pandemic for the same reasons as you. And exercise has been my saviour. I love it and I love your fitness DVD Power of Three. You are amazing!

YES to all of this. OYG has totally saved my mental Health and fitness since March. Massive job stress, lost myself totally for about a year, then lost my job in June. Thanks for sharing, Davina. I thought you must do the amount of exercise you showed in the video, because you look like you work hard at it and as a consequence look fab! I've got mental health issues too but don't exercise as much as I should. I started the Michael Mosely Fast 800 diet and exercise plan, however my dad has been in and out of hospital since I started it and eventually it fell by the wayside. We're coming out the other side now though so hopefully will be restarting in January all being well. All the best. X

It was interesting to see how much you exercise you do in a week. I hadn’t exercised in years until the first lockdown and then suddenly I started to walk every day and I couldn’t believe how much it lifted my mood in the mornings. I love hearing the birds, watching squirrels chase up trees and just being outside in the fresh air. I can’t believe that it took the lockdown for me to realise how good it feels to exercise. I now also do 30-60 mins of workout videos 5/6 days a week. I love it, my mental health has improved along with my body shape. I’m 45 and feeling great😀
This is great Davina thanks for sharing keep up the great work. I exercise or try to every day but get withdrawn if I take I rest day even though you need to listen to your body. Exercise keeps me sane most of the time..
I have always been a big fan of you. I love the fact you have a you tube channel. Good luck with it all. It will be every bit a success as you are. Happy new year to you. Here's wishing to more hugs this year. Miss them so much. X x x
Actually I had a lovely dream the other morning about mooching round a department store with my mum . It was Hanningtons in Brighton . Except it closed about 15 years ago now. We were so happy just looking at trinkets and spraying on perfume and enjoying the music coming out of the store speakers. We were having a lovely time . Then I woke up. To more lock down . Had a bit of a cry . 😿
Walking is my thing , and I will absolutely stride out in the rain if it's pouring . Exhilarating!! I try to walk everyday for half an hour . Hey Davina .. Up the Arsenal !.❤👍But I miss the days of Wrighty and the boys . Don't get too blue about lockdown . 😑😘
So important to keep active and get outside, especially this time of year (even more so in the pandemic). I think some people think of exercise as punishing your body, but that couldn't be further from the truth! I know I feel rubbish if I haven't done some morning yoga and been outside for some kind of brisk walk at the very least. Thank you.
Hey Davina, Just watched your This Morning interview. Love the way you convey your Authenticity, humility, and honesty regarding your past and life experiences. My partner and I love Long lost family. Keep up the good work and so glad I discovered your Vlogs in #Lockdown3 !
I've never been in better shape and can owe it too oyg and the totally amazing trainers on there. It kept me sain through lockdown. Especially the challenges. They keep you focased and give you that goal to work towards. So thank you lovely lady. You've help so so many people this year. You've no idea 😘😍😘😍😘😍😘😍 xx
My inspiration ❤️ I’ve just started another women’s group around M.E.D.S Mental health Exercise Diet and Sleep I’ve always been a leap out of bed at 4 am gal I was a competitive bodybuilder for over 2 years and very disciplined ( I’m 54) but that all went out of the window the last few months .. depression and anxiety got me and I’ve gained weight , anyhooooo I love you cos you are REAL and a constant inspiration so Thankyou and keep on keepin on ! Ps ignore the haters ( too much HATERADE remember 😂) xx
Wake up people! Our ancestors died for our freedom. Governments are totally over-exaggerating ‘Covid’. Do your OWN research and RECLAIM your power!! Love you Davina. Xx
You are so right Davina, there is a lot more worse things out there to be addicted too. I love exercise, LOVE IT. I have been going for walks since as long as I can remember. I tried Yoga, swimming and cycling and I always go back to walking. Sometimes I walk for hours, sometimes its a quick 15 min walk to clear my head.
I believe being fit and healthy helped me beat covid pneumonia earlier this year. Recovery has taken me 7 months to feel back to my fitness before I fell ill. It's been really tough but I determined covid won't beat me

Your like me Davina. My general persona is happy. I work out up to 3 days a week. An hour at a time. What you do is great, it's healthy and varied.x
5x a week for an hour is a perfectly normal weekly amount ❤️💯

Wake up people! Our ancestors died for our freedom. Governments are totally over-exaggerating ‘Covid’. Do your OWN research and RECLAIM your power!! Love you Davina. Xx
Well said. A lot of people are finding their own research and waking up. We are moving forward. Im not anti vaxxer but i say No to this vaccine.
Well the father of my son's friend, Who is only 18, died 2 days ago from covid. Shall I ask his son if the government is EXAGGERATING!
Thankyou Davina for bring honest I'm trying to get back on track for excersie
You look great and as you say, it's better than taking something else. I totally agree x
Thankyou for being so honest ❤️
Very true!!! Good work. Txs😉
Lovely lovely lady helping so many xxx
There's nothing better than walking the dog...keeping me sane !!🐶😉
I believe being fit and healthy helped me beat covid pneumonia earlier this year. Recovery has taken me 7 months to feel back to my fitness before I fell ill. It's been really tough but I determined covid won't beat me
For those like D who have previously battled addiction, exercise can sometimes be another addiction. Take care.
