The Dodo you should check out john st Juliens channel. He has 60-70 dogs in his care. Over 300 kids out of child labour into school. 30+ disabled children in his care. And a home for abused street boys with around 20+/- kids. He's a bit of a Jesus freak and into his meditation and chakras etc. But I'm sure there's plenty for you to work with from his many vids. I- this comment was commented a week ago and my notifications are off. I didn’t realise that it had gotten 453 likes... I’m glad to see how many people agree with me.
He only lived five years and was treated like a king. The family was devastated when he passed away. He developed kidney stones and had a heart attack when the vet tried to catherize him. Laz had a great life, eventhough it was only 5 years. RIP Laz

I have a little yellow cat who was pulled out of a frozen mud puddle by two Great Pyrenees. They bottle fed her and we adopted her, and she is the nicest cat I've ever known. She loves humans and big dogs so much!

My favourite part of this story is honestly the fact that a whole little generation of future adults learned about helping the helpless and not giving up when it seems all is lost. An HOUR+ that man spent on a frozen kitten produced a new family member, those kids are not going to forget that, especially with the cat being such a part of the family. Kids absorb what they see, and they don't often get to see everyday people doing such extraordinary things for such "tiny" causes. Bravo!
Can we just take a moment for the guy who spent an hour and a half chest compressing a kitten, that’s real dedication!

@@michaeltraurig8842 naw papillion is just saying its hard work doing chest compressions. That guy is a good man for persevering and doing so by himself. I would probabaly try to do the same but find myself tiring out halfway through, needing a switch out.
Michael Traurig You have to look at the context here: Many hospitals' guidelines is that usually 20 minutes without positive results are enough to pronounce failure of CPR.
Most of this man's family had already given up on the kitten and gotten back to their party and urged him to do the same. No one could've blamed him for giving up after 60, 40, or even 20 minutes of CPR.
But he never did... and that made all the difference for that little kitten!

If you don’t have a cat, and you’re not sure whether you want one or not, just get one. Actually, get two. You won’t regret it. Each cat has their own personality and they will make your life better in ways that you would never expect. If a cat chooses you as their human, cherish it.
💯 agreed wth u. I have almost 30+ cats. All of them were rescued. Each of them have diff kind of personalities even the colour are same (such as fully black), but u won't find same personallity between them, ever 😁
This is probably not what you meant by this comment, but there are an enormous number of people out there that insist adopting two cats is better than one, the reason being that a single cat will be lonely and it’s selfish not to adopt two.
I live in a small apartment and can only take care of one cat. I want to remind people that It’s okay to just get one cat. When you go to the shelter, there are cats that they recommend be the only pet in the house, as well as cats that have pair bonded that are better off being adopted together. Just ask for a cat that’s not pair bonded.
The advice that getting two cats is better has been around for years and has kept potential cat owners from adopting cats because they feel that a single cat home is some sort of mistreatment of the animal. It kept me from getting a cat for years. If this reasoning were dropped we could get more cats in danger of being euthanized into loving homes. And at the end of the day, that’s what’s important.
Again, you probably didn’t mean all that when you commented. I just want to make sure people aren’t hesitating adopting a cat because they can only care for one.

I have several cats and yet I have about three that would like it just fine, prefer it actually, if they were the sole cat in the house. They never interact with the others and keep a wary eye on them at all times. Just saying sometimes they are fine by themselves.
Some people are not fit to take care of animals - Like not having the money to take them to the vet, or not wanting to get the animal spayed or neutered

Absolutely agree, I used to dislike cats bc of a bad experience w them as a kid, one day I found a stray kitten in some bushes and couldn’t find the heart to leave it there so I took him in. From then on I’ve loved cats, you just gotta get to know them to understand that they’re one of the most lovable pets
Bless the family who took him in and gave him an incredible life of love. So sad he passed away. He had a life of love and he gave so much love too. ❤
Sadly, in 2020 Lazarus passed away after his bladder was blocked with stones. The vets tried to put a catheter in but they couldn't even do that. He is still a miracle kitty and got to love his family for 5 years.
Thanks for this. I went to their youtube and couldn't see anything about Lazarus anymore and I realized he was probably gone or something had happened. That's so sad, but thanks for the update.
This man is a proper lad. Seriously proud of him. 90 minutes of non-stop CPR on a seemingly dead cat is no easy feat.

I made itty bitty drops of pancakes for my cockatiel. I loved her so much. We had her for 19.5 years. I miss her and whenever I make pancakes I still make her some. I burst into tears when I saw the family making pancakes for Lazarus.

He only made it to five, but that is five more happy years with a loving family that he would not of gotten had they not found and rescued the frozen kitten. He now waits for the family by the bridge.

In case anyone is interested, this family are now TH-camrs. They’re called “This is how we Bingham”, sadly Laz has passed away since then but they vlog daily to this day.
Such a wonderful and caring family! The gentleman who spent one and a half hours doing chest compressions is an angel on Earth! Lazarus went on to live for five years which is still quite a long time. This family made him happy. May God bless them and may Lazarus RIP. 🌷🌷🌷💕

I’m a dog person but I want to say that cats are just misunderstood. They can show love as much as dog but in different ways.
Edit: and of course there are some people who hate cats and try so hard to say how bad cats are. Cats aren’t for everyone, just like how dogs aren’t for everyone. Dogs are extrovert and dependent on their owners because they are animals that enjoy being in pack. Cats are introverted and independent from their owners because they prefer being away from people most of the time.
Just cuz a person is introverted doesn’t mean they are heartless or emotionless. They just don’t feel comfortable being with people all the time and prefer spending some time doing their own things alone.
But with cats, they cannot reasons like human do. So when you keep pressuring and harassing them into doing things with you even though they are clearly uncomfortable with it at the moment, of course they would sometimes scratch you. Cuz how else can they make you stop?
Like I say before, I am a dog lover but I am also an introvert. I have a hard time being around people due to anxiety and low self esteems. The reason why I love dogs more because they make me feel happy and even encourages me to go out more to get some fresh air. Seriously guys, stop putting down on cats and cats lover.
Just accept that some people just don’t like cats and some just don’t like dogs and stop acting like a superior d-bag just cuz dogs are more important in term of working with humans like police or support animal.

Mom comes walking out of the house to the porch, and the dog and I are lying on the floor; Grace is letting me pet her FINALLY. We think she was abused by a man when she was younger. SWEET dog, old now too, but scared. I felt touched when she started to trust me enough to get close...after a couple of mins she did the back roll to hold up her paws saying "rub my belly." So I did. She loved it. Mom thought it was cute too. :)

Valeria Gutierrez Diaz I used to own two cats when I was very young (around 6). I had them when they were little kittens and I would pet them and feed them all the time. They are attached to me so much that they would follow me everywhere I go. And my mom would make them stay out of me and my brother (who was 3) bedroom because she’s afraid that cat hair would be all over our bed. Every night the kittens would meow for us.
Although as they got older and grew more “distant”, they still show me affection. Like sleeping on my lap, leaving me dead rats, and purring every time I pet them.
I’m so happy he didn’t give up 🙌🏻

The family is so sweet and gentle to the cat - it's wonderful to see parents teaching their children to respect and feel compassion and empathy for animals.
I remember seeing this miracle just when it occurred and to me it’s a wonderful thing that Lazarus has grown and the baby of the family loves him and are growing up together😍👍💯💓

My cat, Oscar we actually found him in the woods on Christmas. It was -10 degrees! When we found him he was so sweet and now he's been with us for almost a year. He is cross-eyed and the sweetest thing. And what's funny is that he does not care for snow, hell walk right through 2 feet of snow! ❤🐱

The fact the father who found him worked tirelessly to revive him was touching enough, but when the other family took him in, and gave him a loving home was so sweet. Now finding out Lazarus has passed on is heartbreaking. He was a sweet little baby boy, and got all the love he needed to go on, but it just goes to show you never know what will happen. I'm surprised that Lazarus lived for so long without stable breath or heartbeat. Though, obviously I'm glad he did! ❤
He died of a heart attack at age 5 whilst a vet tried to catheterise him for surgery for some kidney problems.
It may have been that his heart was weakened from his experience as a kitten and any stressor on it could've resulted in a heart attack.
It's very sad but I'm so glad that he had 5 years of love and care and fun from a family that so clearly adored him.
Probably was saved because he was so cold, the body's processes slow way down. Same thing happens at times when someone goes through the ice, often the ER can warm them back up & revive them.
This world would be a better place if everyone was like this guy🙏

ha no. if definitely say the family is well off. probably upper middle class, but not like millionaires or anything. id say an average sized american house is a 2/3 bedroom, 1/1.5/2 bath, a kitchen, a living room, depending on the area there could be a cellar/basement, and maybe a laundry room. if a house has more than that you can bet on the family/person being upper middle class - high upper class

Imran Ahmed sorry. Auto correct changes taught to thought when I spelled it wrong and I did not catch it. It means if you find a person frozen or hypothetically “dead” from the cold elements ( cold and unresponsive with no signs of life) you have to work ( provide CPR and activity war them with warm saline and warm blankets and heat packs. Breath for them with vents). them until they are warm and dead. This can take hours and most of the time you transfer care to the hospital for them to complete. I have brought a guy back after he overdosed and his buddies put him in a tub of cold water and ice for and hour before calling 911. Kids bounce back after being found “dead” and frozen a lot.

Karl i think she just means that you can’t know for sure the person is dead until you warm them up.
