Empty mags go in my dump pouch on my battle belt
I got mine yesterday. As a big guy like you I feel like there’s little room for fit when winter clothing is added under. Time will tell. I did order some shoulder strap pads for it as it cuts into the neck if you’re not wearing a turtle neck or collared shirt
bought one today!
In plate carriers ifak goes to the left for convention. Everybody knows it is there and what it contains.
Plus, in case of need, you use the ifak from the injured, not yours.

I don't understand this trend of people putting their IFAKs on their chest. If you get shot at facing someone, do you want your med kit to be what might get shot? Also people having their tourniquet exposed is not recommended. If your tourniquet gets slightly cut or micro tears from any type of abrasion, can weaken it. You don't want that thing ripping when you are wrenching down on it.
I keep mine on my belt, towards the back

I have a problem with properly fitting it. I am trying to secure it and keep it snug, but I tend to lose my breath quickly and lose my ability to breathe at all. Should I be wearing it looser and in a more comfortable way?

I see everyone else’s rig up closer to their chest but mine sits at my stomach and I think I have it tightened all the way. Is this the way it’s supposed to be?
If it's comfortable then rock it. It's just a chest rig.. body armor would be a different answer
Got this with a bday gift card so there is that info but it was like 75$ maybe a lil over or under don't remember but I've had it for like 2 weeks I like the way it feels the mags hold and go back in easy just don't pussy Plat with it just cram the mags in and call it a day
