  • In this video I show you how to make keyboard switches in Blender using boolean and array modifiers. This is the 2nd part of a 6 part series where we build a detailed keyboard in Blender. Enjoy.
    If you have any questions or any ideas for future videos, do not hesitate to comment below.
    I’ve had several people ask for the files for the keyboard. Unfortunately I cannot provide the files at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience but thank you for the interest.

    you've probably already figured this out, but if not you can set your 3D cursor to world origin by Shift+S > cursor to world origin. this way u dont have to manually center your objects every time

    Will these switches work? They do not have the mechanism on the inside that causes it to type? Is this just for reference?

      Hi Nolan, the switches here are just for visual purposes - they do not have a functional mechanism.

      Hi, I think you are referring to the stabilisers, I explain how to make these in video 4 of the series. Hope this helps

    Is this the right size to 3D print or just an estimate to model in a render?

    • @tjsbear1102
      @tjsbear1102  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, this was just a model to render, I didn’t make mine to any particular scale. But there’s nothing stopping you from modelling it to be dimensionally accurate so that you can 3D print
