- I share my experience of switching to Mito MT3 9009 PBT keycaps and Gateron Oil Kings. I delve into the unique features of these keycaps like their retro-inspired look and comfortable, scooped design. I also discuss how the Gateron Oil Kings, initially bought at a discount, have now become my preferred switches. This video is all about exploring the customization options in keyboards and finding what works best for you.

i have the black on white mt3s and my oil kings are coming tomorrow, sick build bro
Thanks! What keyboard are you putting it on?
5:01 drop’s solution for the home row was to add deeper more concave dish to the H and J keys to help you find them. The dip is significant enough where you wont mix them up with any shrouding keys like say D or G
Is that the dcx variant?
You should try out the Boba U4T (Lubed), I liked the glorious pandas a lot, but eventually, switched over to Boba U4T eventually. The next tactile I consider trying is either the Chosfox voyager, Durock Sunflower or Zealios v2. But for now, I'm too busy enjoying my clicky switches with the same keycaps you have :D
Thanks for the recommendations! I've heard great things about the boba u4t too. Team MT3 keycaps 🙌
How much rgb does the oil king give
Yeah I was tactile my whole life until I picked up a set of gateron milky yellow pros and lubed them. Linear gang forever.
Oh man I haven’t even gone down the self lubing…too time consuming plus I feel lazy haha. I’ll have to check out those milky yellows too.
hows the alienware still holding up with the burn in? planning on buying one myself for programming as well as movies, sadly not many minileds released at similar price.
The monitor is still rocking. I have not noticed any issues with burn-ins with a quick check.... I should create a follow-up video on the use of it after almost 1.5 years.
edit: i'd love a miniled monitor too since I mostly use my monitor for productivity but the money
75% is the perfect layout. it has all the keys most people need without having to use the function key. and it doesn't take up really any more horizontal space than anything else other than a 60% and its not much more than that. i had a 60% and it was aweful. never again. i'm a 75% person now.
I think so too but it does feel like a personal preference as the end of the day and I rarely use my function keys. I think I’d be happy with a 60% and wild enough to try a 40%. Thanks for checking out the vid too
