Christmas on the Danube - With Viking River Cruises

Sights and sounds from our Viking River Cruise on the Danube in December 2023. We arrived in Budapest for Viking's Pre-Excusion on December 14 and boarded the Viking Gullveig on December 17. The ship visited Vienna Austria, Krems Austria and Passau Germany. We made an optional excursion into Slovakia to visit the Christmas markets in Bratislava. Snow melt and rains led to higher than expected river levels - so much so that the ship couldn't travel to Regensburg Germany as originally planned. The cruise ended in Passau on December 23.
