46:57 : COLBY: “radioactive doggy loves me i will get thyroid cancer for him” ALSO COLBY: *gets testie cancer and loses a ball* “quality over quantity.”
This is a random thing but in a ghost hunting video Colby scanned himself with a Geiger counter and he set it off but Sam didn't. I genuinely wonder if the cause of his cancer was radiation trapped in his cells from visiting Chernobyl.
Recently I shared this video with my chemistry teacher because we’re going over nuclear chemistry and she LOVES this video. She plans on editing some of the cursing out😭 and showing it to her future classes. She loves how informative the video is and she’s super interested in you guys.
Okay you're cute but you can't be that busy to make a remark like that you know majority the people that live in Chernobyl either died or start their lives with radiation and their blood so as in their bloodline as in hereditary issues just like Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan I dropped out of school in 10th Grade and I'm pretty sure everybody knows the common story behind share Noble is there a few people left from Chernobyl
In my opinion this video doesn't get the recognition it deserves. It shows what the world needs today which is to come together and do what we can for the people around us. Seeing your genuine reactions to the stories and places was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. You guys are amazing and I love this channel so much!!!!! Everyone needs to subscribe!!!
honest opinion, overall this whole chernobyl/ukraine series has really taught me a lot about how good people can be and what sometimes has to be done in life when there’s nothing you can do about it. this series literally changed the way i will look at such things because of you guys. it’s just an interesting topic if you learn more about it and try to dig deeper into it. this was a great experience, thank you.
Sam and Colby have lifted my view on people, I used to feel like I hated everyone and everything because everyone only shows the bad, yes this is bad but they also talk a lot about how the heroes here are just so- I just can’t describe it. It’s wonderful and I’m sad I have just learned about this now.
@@AS-nd1rn wow how immature. Obviously learning about history that effected the whole world and ruins lives isn’t a care of yours. Lack of empathy sympathy and maturity is very evident.
They don’t understand Sam or Colby people saved us an half y’all haters ain’t shit srry to say They know more than u I’ll tell u tht so y’all need to stop hateing an open ur 3 👁
I am thinking about the people in the Ukraine today as their country is being attacked. But the one person I’m worried about is Babushka. The news is saying that Russia wants control over Chernobyl. All I can think about is this little old lady with no news of what’s going on and no way to leave to get to safety. I really hope she will be okay along with everyone else in the Ukraine.
Watching this in 2023 and it is heartbreaking to see what has now transpired and is still happening in Ukraine/Russia. Sam, Colby and Nate , you out-did yourselves. Thank you for sharing this amazing, life-changing experience with us. This just made me even prouder of my Ukrainian heritage.
when sam started crying that just broke my heart to see how much vulnerability and empathy he showed for those people was just so real i started crying to
My father (born April 1 1969. Hes 53) was alive when this happened when i asked him about it, he started to tear up. This very much could be one of the only movies, that made be cry. I saw how genuine the babushkas were when the said for you guys to have a good life.
@@Din-kjaere-gacha he would have been 17, still it doesn't matter how young he was he still had to evacuate and go through what happened, bless your father's soul he must have gone through so much
Watching this now, with the devastating situation in Ukraine and seeing Vladamir's smile and Misha I just...it's heartbreaking just thinking about this. Sam, Colby and Nate, thank you so much for doing this. Chernobyl is one of the things that happened in History that should never be forgotten
When sam was crying because he was sad for all the people who were affected by the nuclear explosion was so haert warming and that shows that sam and colby care for other people and not just them selfs, family and friends 😭❤️
Sam is so kindhearted he was crying when he heard the tragic loneliness for these people and the many ways it affected the people there in Chernobyl! I feel so bad for the elderly especially because imagine the struggle of traveling them for them and others that try to help. Appreciate the small things that you have and be thankful you have the stuff you do! Sam and Colby helped me at my lowest, always making me inspired, smile, laugh, and cry sometimes. They have the best friendship I wish i had. You guys are ultimate
Seeing Sam start to cry because of the loneliness of the babushkas made me so sad. It just proves how much he cares and how much of an impact the babushkas stories had on him and the others, how much their lives and how they live had on them. Considering these guys are usually pretty big jokers I love how heartfelt this video was, they all seemed so genuinely interested and respectful of the town and everyone and everything there. They were so willing to learn and show an interest in the people they met and their personal experiences from the day of the accident and how their lives were affected. It really puts it into perspective just how good we have it. It shows how we need to not take anything for granted and live everyday being grateful for the small things because it can literally be taken away in the blink of an eye. Thank you so much Sam, Colby, and Nate for making such an amazing documentary on the history of Chernobyl.
The way these people value their roots, what they have.. the way they are resilient and look after each other and feel a bigger responsibility towards bigger causes but also stay very true to themselves.. And proved it again over the last years.. I wish everyone on the planet would learn from them.
Nate has such an interesting and beautiful perspective on things and way of speaking. When he talked about the joy of just listening to the wind going through the trees and it just being him and the wind. God that was beautiful and inspiring.
Japanese people survived ground zero and heavy radiation from Hiroshima and Nakagaki too! Same for them too. I bet there are no survivors in the land that was heavily radiated by plutonium! The million-year recovery parts!
Watching Sam start to break down, made me cry my eyes out. Sam and colby really are some of the kindest people out there. They've become family to me which is crazy considering I haven't even known them for a year and we've never actually met. I truly hope they live a long and happy life and find each other to do it all over again in the next life❤❤❤
Also, anyone else concerned that this guy says “I’ve seen deformed eyes, and more cases of cancers” and then not even a year later Colby discovers he has testicular cancer 🫣 really makes you worried, it seems like people who aren’t around a lot of radiation seem to have a much more drastic reaction to being around a sudden increase in radiation, which is why their trusty guide who has been doing this his whole life is perfectly fine, but someone from an environment with low radiation levels goes to Chernobyl it can mess with them more than the average person.
I am 73 and I remember this disaster but never realised what the people of that area had to endure and how resilient they were! Thank you for the way you delivered this documentary it was so informative !
It’s sad that this video hasn’t received the attention and likes it deserves. I may have started watching you for your ghost hunting, but this video was absolutely one of your best. You gotta learn from history, so we don’t repeat it.
Agreed. This is the video I rewatch the most out of all of theirs because it's SO well done and incredibly emotional. Like this is genuinely one of, if not their best, video/series. It hits just as hard every time I watch it, and I'm on my fourth or fifth rewatch. Honestly, as much as I love their paranormal stuff, I wish they'd visit more places like this. They seemed to be really in their element learning about people's stories and exploring such a historic place. You can tell this fed their souls creatively and emotionally, more than any of the haunted places have.
I know I'm a few months late to say this, but maybe this video doesn't have as many likes because they watched the videos beforehand and thought well I don't want to watch them again. Especially so soon after the other ones were put up. This one is convenient cause you can watch all 3 of the other ones in this one video.
To me, this entire series has changed my outlook on life. The fact that a single accident can change so many lives in an instant is honestly just sad, and scary. Thank you guys for making videos on Chernobyl and its stories. What the residents had to go through was horrible, but we can all agree that we are all so thankful to the people who helped stop this disaster from spreading any further. Thank you so much to all the people who helped clean up Chernobyl and risked their lives for the world. ❤️ And thank you Sam and Colby for sharing their stories!
Gentlemen, as someone who is nearly twice your age I've read and watched a lot of material on the Chernobyl disaster, and your film is one of the most insightful views on what life is like for the people who lived, died, and thrive in the zone that I've ever seen. It also strikes me that perhaps what you thought you went there to see wasn't exactly what you were most fond of once you got there. I've traveled this world quite a bit, and I've learned that kids are kids everywhere, and Grandmothers are certainly Grandmothers no matter where in the world you go. What a blessing for the three of you to have visited them. Looks like it's made you wiser for it. Vladymir continues to be a living testament to those who sacrificed their lives and their well being to save their fellows. Mischa has a very unique perspective of what life was like before and after that few men his age can ever see. Well done, gentlemen. A very powerful film and perspective, especially from folks your age. I enjoyed it.
I would read the FUCK out of any book Nate wanted to write, I absolutely love how delicately and how much thought he puts into the words he’s using and way he thinks about stuff. His brain and the way he describes how he’s feeling/what he’s thinking is just so intriguing, it’s so easy to listen to him.
I love how respectful and thoughtful everyone was while doing these interviews and going to all these places. The scale of this tragedy is so hard to fully grasp and I think you guys did a great job explaining everything and helping people understand the gravity of the situation. Great job
Interviews and going to all those places . The scale of this tragedy and going to expling everything and helping everything and helping people understand the gravity of the situation. Great job
Sam and Colby, I’m a 69 yr. Old grandmother. That video was very good!! You should be very proud of it!! You showed the devastation and yet at the very least, a glimmer of happiness and hope !!! My youngest daughter was born April 9th, 1986. I absolutely remember the fear that I went through as the mother of a newborn baby!! I had a 13 yr. old daughter too that I worried about!! It was a very scary time for the whole entire world, but especially the Ukrainian’s!! Thank you for telling their story with so much compassion and class!! Again, you should be proud of this video!!
46:56 This did not age well for Colby! Glad that more recent news about your health is better though! Please be careful you guys! Pushing the limits to get awesome content may not be worth it in the future. Just really think through the locations before going. Stay safe, stay healthy, STAY TRUE! DWO
I´m from Ukraine and I cried through ENTIRE videoю Thank you guys for this work, it´s really a wonderful job. And I am so proud of who I am and my people. @@meganlott4703 the one thing I don't understand is why would Russia tried to take control of Chernobyl, when they know dang well there still would be radiation in the air? I don't get how you guys are getting less views on this one. It's honestly one of your best! So inspiring and educational. Hope you guys continue making more videos like this despite it not getting as many views as your usual paranormal stuff. Some of us like diversity so please keep up with it!
This genuinely moved me to tears. The way the babushka's kept going back to their families, and seeing the sadness in their eyes was hard, but reminds me to live freely and truly in the moment. You can have everything stripped from you in a second, so cherish it while you can. My prayers go to every Ukrainian, especially during this horrific tragedy of war
Im so glad that Sam and Colby did their best to share the complete story of Chernobyl and for showing the emotion of that place. This is definitely a very special video.
As an x-ray technologist of almost 15 years, I wanted to say what an eye opening video you made. A lot of people don't realize the depth of what happened at the Chernobyl plant and how it affected all of us in one way or another. The discoveries made by the disaster shed light on the dangers of radiation and allowed for greater measures to be taken in radiology protection still evident today. In the scientific sense it allowed for technology to protect patients, radiation workers like myself and the public in a greater way. Thank you for this movie and breaking down what happened in a simple way so more people can understand the gravity of the situation. Keep up the great work guys!
I literally just came here to say the same comment until I saw yours. Glad others are wondering the same as me. I wonder if it correlates with his exposure here.
@@jtwigg23 I’m sorry it’s just when I first heard it I was thinking about how if they found any other nuclear bombs it would be scary incase they did something with them
@@meganlott4703 I think securing Chernobyl was more of a preventative measure to ensure that there was no battlefront within the exclusion zone. If they met resistance there and did end up shelling the place, they risk a whole lot more than their reputation in world standing.
That was by far the best ‘documentary’ I’ve ever seen about this disaster. It was personal and heart felt (and also appropriately entertaining). We’ll done Fellas! 🙌🏼
when sam started crying and colby came and gave him a hug realyly melted my heart the world needs more people like sam and colby in this world #bestfreindshipever
I really hope everyone they met is safe and okay right now. I cant imagine how hard this invasion has hit them. To once again be forced to flee their homes. My heart goes out to these people. Stay strong Ukraine 💙💛
This is heartbreaking. I'm telling this because my grandad was one of the liquidators there, he got cancer and it breaks my father's heart every time he talks about this, he almost never talks about that. I didn't live even near Chernobyl, but I have two people in my family who were there. Other grandad is still alive and he helped people evacuate. I'm sorry if my English is bad, it's not my first language. It's just that, it's horrible, the memorials are everywhere, the memories live on, even to people who weren't even born at this time or weren't in this city at all. Keep the content going, boys, we'll always support your videos!
really beautifully said! 💖 also, your english is not bad at all :) I’m also so sorry about your grandfather. that must be really hard knowing what he went through by being a liquidator ❤️🩹
As someone who was a kid when Chernobyl happened, and remembering asking my dad if we would die from the acid rain and fallout that blew around the world...... this was the most powerful documentary on the horror and reality of what happened. Thank you for being the voice for these stories and for even just wondering about history and how it affects our daily life still (especially how it SHOULD BE affecting our lives still)!! Bot to sound my age of 46 but most kids your age could care less about things like this... we all NEED to care about it... so THANK YOU for doing this and hopefully opening even one eye of your generation!!! I’m watching this for the millionth time but i seriously love this and honestly i can’t believe that in September this video will be 3 years old it’s just crazy
Them puppies are way too cute, I'd struggle leaving them there. Loved seeing this side of Nate, the intellectual and pensive moment. Seeing Sam walking around playing with his hair before staring to talk, I knew it was gonna be a real talk moment. Babushka saying Colby is to pretty cracked me up, she probably thought he was a very androginous chick until they heard his voice!
I read in other comment sections of other TH-cam videos about Chernobyl that many people had to leave their pets behind, and that eventually they would be killed as they had absorbed a lot of radiation. So yeah seeing those little dogs really broke my heart too. But I did see in the beginning a snippet of a man with his dog in one of the buses @1:44 so maybe some were spare. 😢
I’m Ukrainian and my parents actually lived in a small village 200 miles away from Chernobyl and Pripyat when it happened before they immigrated to the US and this video made me extremely emotional. Seeing Sam and Colby immersed in my own culture and appreciating it makes me so unbelievably happy. Thank you for all of it 💖💖 I love all the paranormal videos but this video hit so close to my heart and home.
Wow, I was 13 when this happened. Even in Canada there was talk/worry about the effects of the radiation. You know, would it come here, kind of thing. Vladimir and the people of that reactor are hero’s. I still live within 15 kilometres of a nuclear power plant and I also have iodine tablets if there is ever an emergency. Also there is a second plant probably 20-25 kilometres away from this one. On December 8th, 2020 during a routine safety exercise, an employee hit the public alarm. So that all the emergency alarms went off. Our phones and tv stations were broadcasting that the plant was having an emergency. That was terrifying. This video brings me to tears. Thank you for spotlighting all the ones who didn’t get the recognition they deserved.
I've never thought I would be crying my eyes out watching a video about Chernobyl, I'm Polish and I could partly understand what the Babushkas were saying and the sincerity in their voices when they were wishing boys long life full of happiness and good health... it just broke me. This whole movie is really really good. Great job 💚
Sams personality is so heartwarming he’s so delicate and colbys energy is so bright and calm. They truly are the perfect friendship that balances out..
This video is easily the hardest hitting video sam and Colby has ever uploaded, I love how instead of just exploring like other youtubers, Sam and Colby dive into the history and legacy, can't wait for the Fukushima series!
What a sad, yet such an important video that every one should watch. I have a close friend who lived in the small village of Paryshiv right outside of Pryp'yat when she was 16, when the Chernobyl tragedy occurred. She moved to the USA (yes legally) 10 years later. 10 years after coming tovthe USA she gave birth. The radiation effected her eggs, so both her twins were born with physical deformities and learning disabilities.
This series was the greatest history lesson I’ve ever witnessed! Thank you for this and to the younger or older gems who may have not known much about it or anything at all!
I am really glad Sam and Colby did this series. I had never heard of Chernobyl because it was not taught in my classes. It was an incredibly sad story, but it taught the world a lesson. Not even to mention the amount of people who willingly went there to clean up to make sure it didn't impact the whole world? Thank you to Sam and Colby for making an amazing series.
We briefly went over it in history and in science when we were covering Russian Revolution and Renewable and Non Renewable energy sources. Also, I learned about chernobyl after they released a horror movie about it years ago and my teacher was talking about it. It was called Chernobyl Diaries.
I'm glad Sam and Colby did this story. I never heard of Chernobyl because it was not taught in class it was an incredible Lee sad story and tough the world and they listen lesson. Not impact the world packing the whole world? 🌍 Thank you to Sam and Colby For making isn't story amazing stories
It is so unbelievable that many people didn’t learn about this in school .. since I am from Russia we learned so much about the whole story . The people , the animals ( like the puppies who got shot back than because of the radioactivity) the whole situation and the buildings.
My history teacher let us do presentations about stuff like that so it was perfect opportunity to dig out info and also talk with parents about what they remember (I'm Lithuanian tho, but still, one of the affected countries). And chemistry teacher also talked about Chernobyl when we studied radioactivity. It was one hell of an interesting lessons I had.
I’m so confused as to why this video does not have more likes? It’s so well done and very emotional to watch! Thank you for your determination to make this project work!
This is amazing, I’m russian and it’s so so so so refreshing to see people from america interested in our culture and the terrible tragedy in our country. This is so interesting 😍 and exactly why Sam and Colby remain my favorite TH-cam channel
Oh most definitely. You may not see us or hear about it a lot, but there are a ton of us that are interested in your culture and have researched the hell out of Chernobyl. I just finished watching the HBO series with my parents last night, actually. It's disgusting how the government tried covering it up due to their absolute arrogance. But yeah, I've been addicted to Sam and Colby for a couple months now. lol really great stuff!
As someone who never learned about Chernobyl in school, this video taught me so much that I did not know about. I never knew anything about it to the point where people would say “Chernobyl” and I would ask, what’s that? This video was very eye opening, hearing the babushkas talk about their life experiences and what they do now, it’s all so touching. Thank you
I didn't really like you guys at first because one of my daughters watches you and honestly didn't give you a chance. Recently I came across some things that brought my attention to your Origins movie, which then lead me down the rabbit hole of your videos. Plenty of times you've hit the heart, or made me worry fir yalls safety but this one here...... this one hit in so many different ways. The Babushkas hit the hardest. You just wish you could do everything to bring their families closer to each other. Ever since the war with Russia and Ukraine I have been heartbroken for the Ukranian people. You bought so much light to so many things that documentaries don't even feel needed to speak upon. Thank you for being the great young men you are and the dedication to your content. You get to topics others try to be blind too because of the pain it brings up. Also thank you for bringing the recognition to those who selflessly did their jobs knowing there was no way they would make it out alive. They truly saved the world as we know it today. Just thank you❤❤❤
"What is the cost of lies? It's not that we'll mistake them for the truth. The real danger is that if we hear enough lies, then we no longer recognize the truth at all." - Valery Legasov This series was really something else. These boys really could've over dramatized it, as they are TH-camrs. Views are what makes them money. But they got straight to the point. Gotta appreciate that.
i have watched this multiple times. every time i cry. you never know when something can happen, something that could change your whole life. the people of chernobyl, the people of pripyat, they had their entire life changed from a single mistake. the bubuskas that came back because that was their home. the liquidators that basically gave their lives to help. people can be so good. so kind. so amazing. it just really shows to be happy, to live to the fullest. happiness, family, friends and love.
It irritates me that this is amongst your lowest viewed videos. This was a major historical event, that changed the lives of so many, cost the lives of so many, and yet still in actuality, little is generally known about what actually happened. This video is so educational, informative and interesting. Just because there’s no rempods and EVPs, and basically not haunted related, doesn’t make this one of the greatest pieces of content ever made about a historical disaster. I found it incredible, learned so much, and mostly found the people who live and work there truly welcoming and kind people. They lived through this, have to be traumatised, but tell their personal stories openly. Their resilience is remarkable. This should have way more views and way more likes. Guess all the folks want is ‘ghost’ stuff, not a well put together, well edited, and super informational piece of content, that in truth, many people would have been too scared to ever visit - obviously now with the war in Ukraine 🇺🇦 it’s not an option, due to the high levels of radiation. Also no, I do not believe until proven otherwise that this visit caused Colby’s cancer - congratulations on beating the beast Colby. They’re clearly very careful and protective of their visitors. Sorry no Shadow Man appeared in reactor 4, that would likely have brought in the few million more views and number of likes you typically get. This deserved it.
Sam and Colby: I just wanted to say thank you for making this year bearable and that’s coming from someone who attempted to take their own life a couple months ago. You boys had helped me get through with all the laughs, tears and everything else! Thank you for literally saving my life
I was emotional throughout this whole video, and became increasingly emotional towards the end and shedded a few tears with Sam after he spoke to the Babushkas, this was so beautiful and I enjoyed this video so much. It's safe to say that visiting Chernobyl in now on my bucket list!
The amount of effort, time, sweat and tears that went into this movie truly shows and I am so so proud of you guys. I'm slowly working my way through your older videos and this one just stood out so much. Very well done. This was beautiful. Truly a masterpiece.
my favorite part of the entire video was whenever Misha talked about his past living in Pripyat, you always see a smile come across his face. Although that place is a ghost town their spirits and memories keep it very much alive. 🇺🇦
This has to be the best TH-cam documentation of Chernobyl I have ever seen. I really enjoyed how you all explored the many aspects of the disaster and the people affected. It felt like in a lot of ways you left no stone unturned. I really appreciate the various interviews and perspectives that were shared about it. Thanks guys, you're all awesome.
To see where you guys started, with videos of exploring locations in your home town, to doing investigations around the country of the US, to exploring and seeing the history of Chernobyl. Sam and Colby, both of you have come so far and grown so much. It’s amazing to see what you’ve accomplished.
Seeing Misha smiling and laughing after all what happened literally melt my heart. I lurned from this movie to appreciate my home and the place that I live. To enjoy the moment because you never know when or what can happend. It breaks my heart
Wanted to come on here and say thank you guys for this series. All I can think about while I am watching the news right now is I hope those grandmas are ok. My heart goes out to the Ukraine
rewatching this makes me cry, it breaks my heart how hard they still have it. it’s crazy how long the explosion lasted, even if it was decades ago it still affects them till this day. things can happen so quick, this video taught me then and still teaches me now to cherish the memories we all have. love you guys for sharing this. ❤
I was 24 when the explosion happened and you’ve taught me a lot of things I never heard before. In the UK we were unaware of the full extent of the danger we were in during the days following the explosion. Thank you for opening my eyes to the huge sacrifices the workers made to save the rest of the planet.
I hope Misha is okay, along with all the other Ukrainians out there. No matter what happens- Ukraine will always be independent and Putin will suffer the consequences for his despicable actions.
As a Ukrainian, I’m so glad Sam and colby are showing the history of my country that doesn’t get talked about, also considering my grandma and dad lived here, so thank you Sam and colby ❤️❤️
Sam and Colby I hope you see this I’m so worried for those sweet babushkas( grandmas ) in Chernobyl right now with Russia bombing the Ukraine and they just took over Chernobyl . Seeing this now makes me very emotional. I hope those sweet grammas and everyone in Chernobyl are safe . #istandwithUkraine 🇺🇦
This is all I can think about! For every one of them we know about like this that will be up rooted, killed and effected by this war there are 100 more innocent children and old grandmas that will have their entire world ruined. I wish there was something someone could do. I can’t believe the timing of them doing this documentary and just how important it is for everyone to see and learn from!
Y’all did such an amazing job putting this together. You showed the truth without hiding your own emotions throughout it all, and I know that’s hard. You carried good names for yourselves and really listened. A lot of people just can’t do that anymore. Thank you.
this literally broke my heart. i feel so bad for the grandmas knowing that the will all pass away soon, and they were so kind and sweet. im so grateful for everything the heroes had done because i and you wouldn't even be here without them..
Props to you guys this really brought my attention to how important this documentary actually was, it really opened my overall perspective on the Chernobyl accident and I’m sure it did for all the fans too. Good job!
Hi guys! Ukrainian girl here, been watching you for couple of months. I was very sad when I heard about Colby's cancer, hope he'll never endure this again and wish you guys all the best. I'm 27 yo, didn't catch the years of explosion but my whole life we've been told about this accident and each year we pay tribute to those who was affected by the tragedy. I was so glad when i found this video, my love and respect to you plummeted. Thank you for your job! I also was very happy that Misha spoke Ukrainian, to us Ukrainians, now fighting for our freedom this means a lot. I understand your feelings when you spoke about not completely understanding the capacity of the tragedy, the impact of it and so on. As we all don't understand it right now because of war, so tired of things happening to our beautiful country. I hope you'll come back to a free of invaders country and I'll meet you guys and say hi to you. Take care ❤️

I truly hope they live a long and happy life and find each other to do it all over again in the next life❤❤❤
I started crying and it broke my heart she is lonely and the things they would actually do to help her or other people in the village..

I still cant believe that people dont know about the Chernobyl disaster.
And also the memes
Bruh. Watch the hbo Chernobyl series. Just a recommendation
@@VirallVariety yesss
We briefly went over it in history and in science when we were covering Russian Revolution and Renewable and Non Renewable energy sources. Also, I learned about chernobyl after they released a horror movie about it years ago and my teacher was talking about it. It was called Chernobyl Diaries.
I'm glad Sam and Colby did this story. I never heard of Chernobyl because it was not taught in class it was an incredible Lee sad story and tough the world and they listen lesson. Not impact the world packing the whole world? 🌍 Thank you to Sam and Colby
For making isn't story amazing stories
It is so unbelievable that many people didn’t learn about this in school .. since I am from Russia we learned so much about the whole story . The people , the animals ( like the puppies who got shot back than because of the radioactivity) the whole situation and the buildings.
i actually learned about this yesterday in class and somehow just saw this video after learning about it in school.
@@leeyes4405 e
The first time I heard about it was watching River Monsters as a kid and I don't think I ever really heard anything outside what I searched for
I learn about it in science and I live in the uk but I’m glad I’m educated to know about Chernobyl
Thank you for doing this video. It’s incredibly sad but gives appreciation to the people that literally saved the world.
Just thank you❤❤❤
seeing Sam cry and even listening to everyone's stories genuinely broke my heart... Hopefully nothing like this ever happens again.
When Colby got yelled at for wearing his jacket off his shoulders I had to laugh
Which minute?

Misha is one hell of a guy. There was a part in the video where they ran so fast but Misha outran them all, lol

This series was really something else. These boys really could've over dramatized it, as they are TH-camrs. Views are what makes them money. But they got straight to the point.
Gotta appreciate that.
Ok awesome
i have watched this multiple times. every time i cry. you never know when something can happen, something that could change your whole life. the people of chernobyl, the people of pripyat, they had their entire life changed from a single mistake. the bubuskas that came back because that was their home. the liquidators that basically gave their lives to help. people can be so good. so kind. so amazing. it just really shows to be happy, to live to the fullest. happiness, family, friends and love.
This deserved it.
most people watched the episodes in the series separately and not all in one but i do agree that even then it is extremely underrated
Cheers to the best Tour Guide ever. The heart he showed taking them to his old home after not visiting for years.
Sam: Get in the hole, Nate.
*"No No No, Don't Do That."*
Nate: I can't get in the hole.
I laughed more then I should have lol! 😂😂😂
he sounded so dissapointed :P
@@Murdertoys_666 I know right lol!! That’s what killed me! 😂😂😂
I love the fact that even when they go somewhere really sad that sam and colby can make any one smile or laugh💖💖
Sam and Colby: I just wanted to say thank you for making this year bearable and that’s coming from someone who attempted to take their own life a couple months ago. You boys had helped me get through with all the laughs, tears and everything else! Thank you for literally saving my life
Are you ok now?
I was emotional throughout this whole video, and became increasingly emotional towards the end and shedded a few tears with Sam after he spoke to the Babushkas, this was so beautiful and I enjoyed this video so much. It's safe to say that visiting Chernobyl in now on my bucket list!
The amount of effort, time, sweat and tears that went into this movie truly shows and I am so so proud of you guys. I'm slowly working my way through your older videos and this one just stood out so much. Very well done. This was beautiful. Truly a masterpiece.
1:56:58 Colby coming out to check on Sam and Sam looking up a noticing Colbys there and almost finding comfort knowing he's there 😢❤
my favorite part of the entire video was whenever Misha talked about his past living in Pripyat, you always see a smile come across his face.
Are you serious? There are far better documentaries on Chernobyl than this immature kiddie stuff on TH-cam!
To see where you guys started, with videos of exploring locations in your home town, to doing investigations around the country of the US, to exploring and seeing the history of Chernobyl. Sam and Colby, both of you have come so far and grown so much. It’s amazing to see what you’ve accomplished.
The end got real and I cried. It's crazy how much this video can open up your mind and see things... in another prospective
I just watched 39:45 and I have chills…
@@jordanphillips5336 I know. That’s literally all I can think everyday. I’m just praying that there is a higher good that will stop this.
everyone who died here is a hero
everyone who had to relocate was brave
everyone who came back here has courage.
Chernobyl deserved better.
rewatching this makes me cry, it breaks my heart how hard they still have it. it’s crazy how long the explosion lasted, even if it was decades ago it still affects them till this day. things can happen so quick, this video taught me then and still teaches me now to cherish the memories we all have. love you guys for sharing this.
Sam and Colby,
This is the best piece you have ever, ever done. Brought so many tears to my eyes. Thank for sharing your experiences in Chernnobyl.
I agree, this is one of my favorite videos from them. I'm actually crying and I rarely cry from videos
The babushkas are fine, on misha's Instagram he said they have enough recourses and are perfectly okay, Ukraine is gonna win this
@@vienna_4200 thank you for letting me know♥️🥺🙏🏽
Y’all did such an amazing job putting this together.
1:57:35 when they hugged ❤ 😊 I love their friendship and then colby saying he wouldnt wanna be there with anyone else but Sam ❤
Props to you guys this really brought my attention to how important this documentary actually was, it really opened my overall perspective on the Chernobyl accident and I’m sure it did for all the fans too. Good job!
This is my absolute fave Sam and Colby video. I appreciate you guys for putting this together to show people this history.
For putting this together to show people this history.
Just look at the photos of all our the cities being destroyed, our people being killed and it will blow your mind, the pictures are millions times worse than Pripyat 💔
And again USSR didn't disappear, it just took another face but just only of one country -Russia and they continue lying to people and ommitting the truth
You seem so sweet 😭💕💕💕

@@Icerose457 hi thank you to your kind words and support, it brings joy to my heart that you see the truth despite people telling you otherwise. Propaganda is like tumor it's cruel and spreads very slowly, so don't let it darken your thoughts. I wish I could show all the people the pain they brought to us ((( we are not near front line but from time to time we get attacked by rockets and drons, the last week was especially difficult, our city was under attack because of the grain deal, they cannot accept that Europian countries want to export our grain to feed the world and to let our country work without their permission. So many places were destroyed, the city centre, the ports infrastructure, several people died and got injured. We didn't sleep all week, i had to grab my child and cat and run to the parking under our house in the middle of the night. And the noises you hear, everything blowing up(( and yesterday i got news that my classmate died being in coma after the attack on them in front line.
This was my favorite video from you guys. Misha was such an incredible guide. His insight and stories were so impactful and helpful to understand everything. Every interview was so emotional and raw. I hope to see more like this in the future.
I love the fact that you guys go to places just to learn about new things. and I'm honestly disgusted by the people who disliked, if all of these people didn't do anything the world won't be like this, it would be a ghost land. And i know that this war is going on and I honestly don't know how much it will last, but I hope everyone is safe. Hope you guys are feeling alright and that you are happy!!
I love how colby and sam made the small speech at the end, like it made me feel actually like i was there with them and could feel the emotions in the air. And the sweet grandmas they were giving out such an amazing energy even though their days are mostly work but i feel like they actually do enjoy their jobs and the time they have left.
I love Igor helping you understand radiation. Even with some translation issues, he didn't get frustrated or discouraged. And your response to his so-called "broken English" was really cool to see.
