I have a friend of close to his size, when we used to go out he was constantly harassed by skinny dudes that had to prove themselves in front of their friends and he was always reluctant to fight back because he was genuinly worried that he might kill one when he punched them. Given the few cases I have seen him fight back, I see this as a valid concern.

No it wasn't. It was to get behind him and get a rnc. There is no way to recover from someone having your back. That's why eddy never wanted to leave the wall and expose his back and why they were quick to try and get around him when he did step in the center

A choke was their only rear hope since I don’t think Eddie would submit to a joint lock, but getting a rear naked choke would by no means be a guaranteed loss for the big man.
