You know they criticised this part of the game but after clearing the game multiple times, this is my favourite part short, fun and makes you feel badass in the process.
This part is basically the game letting you know just how badass and experienced Chris Redfield is. He's a veteran alongside Jill, Claire, Barry, Leon. They're no slouches when facing off against b.o.w monsters and anything spawned from umbrella created viruses.
a badass moment after scary passages with zombies , vampires and lycans wouldn't hurt anyone. anyways that's always been the case in each RE game, at their begins you're the prey with limited ways of defense , facing scary creatures, but when the end is near, you feel like a John Wick-like , Rambo-like character with all of the guns you get , you become like a badass mutants hunter. nothing scare you anymore. That's honestly what i always loved in the RE series
@@jantradaach.4996 I get ya dude, wish they let us aim down the sight during that section. That AK and pistol had some sick red dot sights, what a waste.
Yup and in the art gallery there was a description of the monster with hammer stating that “he became a shadow of his former self “ just like what Chris or jill said about Kenneth in RE1 it was an amazing detail
1:17 I'm really sympathetic to Chris, having followed his adventures since the Remake of 1 back in 2002. Poor guy can't leave this line of work. It took his best friend Forest Speyer, his teammates in S.T.A.R.S, dragged his little sister into a line of work she probably never wanted in the first place, left Jill Valentine unable to continue her duty with BSAA (she's been noticeably absent post RE5), and he lost Pierce Nievans and Ethan Winters. And worse, he probably feels he no longer has any place in life now that Albert Wesker is good and dead. Edit: as confirmed by the ending & Shadow of Rose DLC, Chris is STILL at this in 2037. 40 years after Raccoon City and bio-terrorism is still a thing. Poor man is gonna live and die in his line of work.
Wow that's a really militant but realistic way of looking at it. Chris only want to help people but ever since 5 he said it's getting harder and harder. 6, 7 and 8 all really drag it out, but the fact he hasn't given up and keeps trying is admirable.
Yeah and don't forget the amount of people he lost in BSAA as well (Parker, losing his entire squad in RE6, that woman and her child getting infected and killed in Vendetta, and Damian getting killed in the same movie). He and all the RE main characters probably endured more trauma and grief than anyone in the franchise
The biggest and best character in the saga. First male character in the saga, character with more canonical appearances (RE1, RECV, REUC, REREvelations, Lost in Nightmares, RE5, Marhawa Desire, RE6, REVendetta, RE7, RE8). Responsible for killing the most powerful and important villain in the saga (Wesker). Chris is so talented and above average that before joining STARS he was already in the air force and knew how to fly jets and fighter planes, while at STARS he was the agent with the best aim and knew how to handle any firearm (heavy or light) all this at 25 years old. Chris is the agent with the most successful missions carried out by the BSAA. Chris is the character who dealt with the largest variety of viruses and parasites in the saga, T-Virus, T-veronica, T-Abyss, G-Virus, Las Plagas, Mofo. I like Leon, but he's a long way from Chris.
You forgot the Uroboros virus 😎 or is that the T-veronica ? I played all re but my virus memory is rusty i was in it to shoot things not to analyze it 😀
Undoubtedly one of the best parts of the game due to the background Soundtrack "Descent into the Village" that seems a theme based on Hans Zimmer's in "The Dark Knight" or "The Dark Knight Rises". The moment that sounds, the background hiss suggests that there is a warning in the village that Chris has entered it. A rather epic detail that almost no one contemplates and is possibly one of the best in the saga ...
Played on hardest difficulty, after struggling the whole game with lack of ammo, health and every encounter being a near death or multiple death experience, playing as Chris and going Rambo on the enemies was a perfect treat. Loved this game
Chris Redfield is one of my favorite human characters from Resident Evil (his design in RE Village is my favorite). He's been there since the beginning of the saga, and I really like his evolution. Now he's a veteran who has dedicated his entire life to fighting bio-weapons and terrorist organizations, and he now continues with an elite squad, the Hound Wolf Squad. So badass! I sincerely hope that one day Capcom will finally decide to make him find his sister Claire, because the two really deserve to meet again.
The reason why this sequence is so badass I because you can see the difference between prepared and experienced Chris redfield and tough civilian, Ethan winters. You can not only see the difference but you can feel it.
This was such a great moment it kinda reminded me of RDR2, when Arthur dies and you play as John and have so much nostalgia, this sequence also shows how powerful a veteran character is compared to a civilian like Ethan, hope we can see a dlc where Chris and his crew go to confront BSAA after the events of RE8
I love that while with Ethan we were experiencing terror because he’s still under Chris’s military training, here playing as Chris Redfield we play as the teacher, the one who we grew up with all those years or at least have heared of him, switching to pure action that proves his vast experience. And I must say, it really comes in handy to release the anger that Ethan’s murder caused.
My favorite part in the whole game, holy shit was Chris badass. Ethan should've listened to him when he said to stay out because I'm pretty sure Chris would've found Rose and killed everyone within minutes.
Ethan took down the 4 lords. I don't think it would be that easy if they were present. Hisenberg was probably gonna team up with Chris, but other 3 lords would be definitely against them. And then there's Miranda. It wouldn't be that easy.
I love how as soon as you start playing as Chris it becomes a COD game 🤣🤣🤣.Shows you how OP Chris is , he's like the doomguy of the RE Universe, the monsters are afraid of him
Ethan should've taken Chris' advice and stayed out of the fight. Chris could've waltzed in and solo'd the entirety of the village with as much firepower and tactics as he has.

1. Ethan would have still demanded an explanation from Chris about the beginning of the game (something he should have done in the first place). 2. Ethan would have been involved in this anyway whether Chris liked it or not. and 3. If Chris had known that Ethan was already a mold creature he wouldn't have minded him lending a hand.
Im more than down with chris, leon, claire atc as being action stars in RE from here on out because of their experience, so long as its only for a small section and we mainly play as a newcomer of some type where the fear and inexperience feels fresh. Re7 and 8 did a fantastic job

This suddenly change of gameplay makes total sense and i loved it. I mean Chris have seen everything and he has a team with military equipment to help him, it's obviously gonna be more action than Ethan who hasn't been involved against bioweapons like Chris for several years.
Little scenes can say so much. I *love* where Chris just sits, lights a cigarette, and reflects on how it never ends for 3 reasons. (1) Coming off the glorious insanity of a mech battle and the emotional punch of Ethan getting his heart ripped out, it's a nice quiet breather before the game switches tone from survival horror to FPS. (2) It also lets the viewer into Chris's mind and shows some vulnerability, which helps establish more emotional connection with the guy we're about to play as. Esp. important here--don't forget, in two of his three prior scenes, Chris was (kind of clumsily) written as a jerk. Finally, speaking as someone who's been with RE over 20 years, it hits me really hard since I flashed all the way back to the Spencer Estate, presumably alongside Chris.
Can't wait for the next resident evil game, I'm just waiting for him too say "I'm getting too old for this" in a boss fight or leon and chris fighting again.
I LOVE it when games allow us to play as someone else for a short period of time. And playing as Chris again felt amazing. It was like a breeze of fresh air.
Eh Ethan gets access to two weapons that went through several wars and a thumper. Not to mention a Saiga and probably one of the best machine pistols to ever be created.

No, what we need is a game starring Chris and Jill taking down Umbrella together once and for all prior to the events of Resident Evil 4. It’s completely mind-boggling to me how such a monumental event doesn’t have its own full-fledged game. As much as I like Chris and he's a total badass, I'm kinda sad to see that he's still in this mess being close to the age of 50. Reminds me that he'd probably be retired by now if Piers hadn't died back in China.
I can imagine if Piers is alive Chris would be back in Base of Hound Wolf Squad probably being a instructor or Commanding officer of the Team (I know he already is but I meant in the way where he would be in meetings with his superiors and discuss what he and his team can do) and Piers leading the Team in mission almost like Captain Price and Macmillian in MW3 (Macmillian aka his callsign "baseplate" is in MW3 but handles the regiment and briefs them and gives them information) thus would be perfect of Piers is alive...
he loves what he do.that's his life bro. he cannot go sit on beach resting.he just isn't that type. but I'm kinda sad that he never experience love and he is alone
This reminds me of my headcanon of Chris slimming down because of Jill complaining of Chris’s heavy muscles pressing down on her, so as to explain the change in Chris’s look in RE7

This perfectly shows why Capcom are moving forward with characters that aren't Chris, Leon, Jill, Claire or Ada: if we were to play as the legends, they would be OP. Chris has the best equipment and a backup team, and look what the game turned into as a result: COD with werewolves that aren't dangerous, lmao. Imagine Leon (John Wick), Jill (Black Widow), Claire (Lara Croft) and Ada (Catwoman). Heck, let's also include Jake aka "I fistfight tyrants for breakfast", Parker "I can't die" Luciani and Barry "I have THIS" Burton (he casually pushed a helicopter in Revelations 2). Yeah, it's obvious why Capcom are seemingly moving on. A spin-off starring Rebecca will supposedly get released next year, and I can believe that, since Rebecca is weak compared to the others, which would be perfect for a Survival Horror game.
Jake sucks. He’s a silly possessive weirdo. Leon knows Cherrie longer than that buffoon and he shoved Leon for coming too close to his claimed property. I never understood why ppl find a possessive person like him interesting or romantic..

This is exactly why it's difficult to make a horror game work with Chris or Leon nowadays lol they're too OP. This section was fun as hell tho
The solution I see to have our beloved characters be the main characters of future games is to have future games set not as sequels that go forward in time but rather as interquels that fill in the gaps at earlier points in time. For instance, whatever happened with Nicholai? How did Chris and Jill take down Umbrella once and for all prior to the events of RE4 (and why isn’t there already a full-fledged game depicting this)? What happened with Jessica and Raymond who are also still at large?
Revelations and Chronicles already kinda did that
@@meyers0781 I like the Revelations series, but the Chronicles games were not that great in my opinion. I think they should take those plotlines in the Chronicles games and expand them into better games.
@@mechadoggy yeah about Chronicles... what the developers thinking that a shaky cam is a good idea? Even the profit-making The House of the Dead series lacks that except for few scenes like boss fights and scripted "shake the controller" scenes and that's why the House of the Dead series is pretty famous... it strikes a good balance between blasting zombies and frustrating the players enough with the durable enemies and bosses to insert another coin, that and there are multiple routes and endings to take.
RE4R did a good job at doing that
You know they criticised this part of the game but after clearing the game multiple times, this is my favourite part short, fun and makes you feel badass in the process.
I loved this part in the game.

What happened to Jill Valentine?
I think Jill got sick from what Wesker did to her. So, she was probably relieved from her position
Wow that's a really militant but realistic way of looking at it. Chris only want to help people but ever since 5 he said it's getting harder and harder. 6, 7 and 8 all really drag it out, but the fact he hasn't given up and keeps trying is admirable.
Both Chris and Leon have been seen drinking heavily. Barely surviving Bioweapons encounters takes its toll.

Now he's a veteran who has dedicated his entire life to fighting bio-weapons and terrorist organizations, and he now continues with an elite squad, the Hound Wolf Squad. So badass!
