Chris Nalley, Jr. taught me this in 1995. I learned how it’s spelled from this video.

Hi, former student of the academy here . Since my walking cane is really more legal than a rattan stick for everyday casual open carry, could The Guro recommend just chocking up on it near the handle and using it escrima style? What if u don't want to use it hapkido style like in a defense situation. Does it blend well at least or do you have to just use the special cane waza's? Are there any tips or things to watch out for? Mine has a hook on the end and is a little on the short side.I gave Izzy my special "hammer of Thor" punch for when he finished off the Brazilian. No more hints. Is it just best to get a walking cane with a straight end if you have only trained eskrima is the real question. Hapkido seems to use the hook for most of it's moves. I want to use the other end, but it could get in the way,or does it? The books and tapes can only get you so far. Thanks!
