Nice tarp setup. The bourbon reminds me of Steve Wallis Step Two. Regarding foam mattress suggest using a carry bag that can double for air pump. Inflation by breathing puts moisture inside, reducing insulation. You can also dry it out of previous moisture at home by using pump to inflate and deflate with dry indoor air.
Thanks mate! I actually carry a little pump with me now, its called a flex tail max pump and the thing is awesome because I have read the same thing regarding the mold and considering I blow these things up once a week I'm sure that can't be good

I very much enjoy your videos. You are definitely comfortable in the environment and have the necessary skills and confidence. I’m ex-military and 63 in a few months, and although you would think I’d have had enough of this lifestyle while in the service that is not the case. With a number of both large and small lakes full of trout and salmon a short drive from home I still get out under a tarp shelter, or with just a bivvi bag, as I have done for most of my life. It is extremely satisfying !!!!!!!
That's awesome! I have a couple subscribers who are ex-military and they tell me they had enough camping when they were in the service (for good reason given the stories) so to hear you're still out there and getting after it is awesome. I feel it for a couple of days after a night in the woods and I'm only in my 20's lol so I just pray I'm still doing this stuff when I get to your age! All the best, and thank you for your service sir!
As it is said 'This too will pass' strange times for us all, you have chosen a valuable way to spend time outside, amazing what a few bits and bobs can do for you!

Thanks Lisa! I've never had a hot dog sub before either haha but I'm on quarantine rations so why not lol
Are you the real Lisa?
That's exactly what I'm doing now at 2219 hrs eastern standard time in north Georgia. Georgia is Dixie. Thinking about how warm he'll be with that acid indigestion from that hotdog sandwich.
To think many haven’t been camping before. Last week went for three nights and it’s so good for the soul
Have used this setup in aii kinds of weather for thirty year's, work's great. In a treeless area two Pole's up front work.
Good to know!! I would love to try that, thanks Richard
Suggestion: With the conditions coming in perhaps it would have been better once you got your shelter up and your gear out of the weather to get fire wood before everything gets wetter. You can fix bedding when the snow is falling so fast that you can't find anything and you're out of the snow.
Should have added that I thoroughly enjoyed the video.
Thanks Jim! Glad you liked the video! It's definitely something I can keep in mind for next time and I always like reading peoples thoughts and ideas. All the best
"unfortunately I dont have any ice"........as frozen water literally (and liberally) falls from the sky🤣🤣🤣❄❄❄......looked beautiful mate 14℃ here in the uk today
blisteze mate.....or blistex or whatever they're calling it these days......fab for cracked bleeding lips.......take care and all the best for the new year.......go easy on them hooowiskeys😉
Kudos on the old fashioned, burying the whiskey brought back so many memories, and the monster hot dog. lol
Tarp is a bit exposed for my taste but works.
Thanks Trace! A little exposed I know, not one I would normally do in those conditions but it was fun to sip the old fashioned and watch the snow! Take care mate
I would love to do that. At this time with all this mess going on I would want a mini camper and just stay in the woods till May. I read about some footballer that had been in a coma for a bit and imagine waking up to this crap, it'd be please put me back under! Great video.
Oh man that would be horrible (the footballer, not the camper) you would think someone was playing a joke on you! But the camper would be awesome!
You are crazy to live here without 🔥.. Thanks for video.
My life sucks and I can’t escape. Thank you for creating this.
I'm sorry to hear that mate! Glad I could help
- I really like to go camping in the heavy snow or heavy rain and rain for many days, seeing it raining, or seeing snow falling is so interesting.
Nov, 25 - 2020.
Just found your videos. I'm 8 mins in this is the first one I found. Sold / Subbed. Love it man.
I instantly subbed when you put the whiskey in the freezer.
haha has to be cold right!!
@easy rider Hellyea man, take the ring off the jar and stomp on it!
Nice choice of beverage!!. Great on ice!
You're amazing dude, keep it up! It's so entertaining to watch you doing stuff out in the wild haha😂
Thanks Levi haha! Glad you like it man, I'll keep on bringing the videos for ya mate!
That was really a beautiful trip
Would you like to try a colorful fire next time?
Love how as soonas u finished driving the last stake in the ground for the tarp it starts to snow right at that very second.
I miss the days when there was snow like this
@dippydog21 I know we got rain and sunshine.....it was a wet wi ter
