- Today it's time for a viewer submitted game of StarCraft 2. In this Platinum and Diamond League match of Protoss vs Zerg. One of the cheesiest games you can go watch, as the Protoss decides to go for a few Proxy Gateways on the other side of the map, but it turns out to be one of the worst StarCraft cheeses I've ever seen. Of course the next logical step is to go for a proxy Nexus.

There needs to be a game mode based on Lowko's mistakes of calling units the wrong name
imagine an army composition of stalkers, immortals, marauders, disruptors and prism... thats a OP army compo... plus HT... aaaaahhhh sweet psi storm hitting all slow moving enemies...

No way is he using caps lock or holding down shift. A high-level player like that is toggling caps lock on and off between every letter to keep their hands warm and their apm up.
a high level player has macros to specific keys with premade chat-insults.

i just started playing star craft 2 and i am learning protoss, been acused of cheating when all i do is wall build war prysm and spam as many stalkers as possible while i dont stop farming, a guy said i was hacking and even continued insulting me after the game....

I try to change my game preferences because of that. I trust ob my skills, im not the best player in the word i know but i always try my best. Lose because your team is bad or they are mad for no reason and start to trolling is really disaponting
Well it is also because that dota or moba style custom map was created more famous than warcraft itself is because it is easier to play. I think that basically the main reason. You just control 1 unit how hard can it be? That is what I'm thinking back then.

I was in silver 2 a month ago and got matched with a platinum league person, and won against them after a long match. I was so confused. He started with a cheese, and played horribly late game. probably the type of people you're talking about

6 months late, but there was a game uploaded by sc2 streamer many years back, I can't find the video now but it's the opponent of the streamer trash talking the streamer in English and using cheesy tactics against the streamer IIRC.
It's hilarious because said streamer is a *Korean Starcraft 2 pro-gamer turned English streamer* . No point in guessing how that game end.

not only him, according to most non-zerg players: overlord is hack because they fly, creep tumor is hack because they provide vision, larva is hack because remax. Last but not least everytime a pro zerg player won a tourney suddenly they see that as a reflection in their skill level pool then cry about how broken the race is and demand to delete it.

Ready for level 2 of this wisdom? Most people blame others based on their own intentions. Liars always blame others for lying. Thieves accuse others of stealing. Abusers will always accuse you of hurting poor, precious little them.
Whatever kind of person you are, it's natural to assume others are think and act the same way. And when someone lashes out to hurt or discredit someone else, they'll usually pick the thing they're most afraid people will learn about them.
Given these two players, Erwodak is 1000% more likely to actually use hacks.

I think they get high metals because their cheese strategy works on a majority of lower MMR. Then when they run into someone that counters the cheese, they have to fall back on actual play, which assuredly did not get them into Plat. So then Lowko casts one of these games and people look at the actual skill bench of these players and wonder how this happens.

Maybe this is why I'm no good at competitive multiplayer. I blame myself for all my failures instead of calling hacks on everything and assuming that I can do no wrong.

If one looks closely at the minimap at 9:55 onwards, they’d notice a small blue pixel seemingly running around the bottom of the map before running up the right side. Just before Blue sends his Zerglings in to deal with the scouted Nexus.
6:10. Actually, in Starcraft 1, the gateways do glow as they're producing units. It's more of a constant blink than a wave like SC2.

It is probably more motivating, because it shows you that you don't have to be a pro with 300 apm to play Starcraft. Everyone is going crazy over elite SC and they forget the casual fun side of it.

16:00 and a ways past. I woulda committed that Zerg force straight to the nexus' regardless of the Dark Templar and Air Force advantage. You attack, you don't withdraw that attack force, and build up the next wave. I don't play Starcraft competitively, or online. But in strat games like supreme commander I launch one attack to probe defense, then beef up the next.
Proxy gateways into Void Rays into Dark Templars with a hidden corner base, all on low econ... man this Protoss has no idea how to play SC2 yet he has an ego the size of Aiur, this is too funny 🤣

Funny that what you say about SC at the end is precisely why I like it so much. The 1v1, living chess-like play makes the competition compelling to me in a way I don't get as much from MOBAs and not at all from shooters. I like AoE II and that community as well. edit: add in the recent legacy play of Serral and Maru, it's a great time to be a SCII fan.

When i see those plays in Dia/Plat i really want to try ranked again.
But because i got destroyed by 3 Master-PLayer back when i played that game i never ever gonna go ranked again.

@@durrrhurrrderpderpderp9932 i player my first 5 placement matches, in 3 different ocassions (tried again every month), lost all of them to plat-diamond players (i repeat, this where my first 5 ranked matches) and got placed in silver league
Needless to say there was no point in playing because i was getting absolutely rekt and most games ended with the enemy steamrolling me with tier 3 units against my 500 worth of mineral army
SC2 is NOT for new players, it never was and the devs never made an attempt to make it so
Caps lock is for Twitch chat spam. True rage is expressed by holding down the shift key.
Blue looks like a Starcraft1 Veteran.
I was solid in Starcraft1... in Starcraft2... not so much. Only recently restarted playing this amazing game with a friend.
I learn when watching replays or recently started following this chanel.
I didn't know about the Queen and about injecting to make more larvas... I would just make tons of hatcheries and Hydras.

SC2 is like a modern chess game. Every unit has got counter unit, so you can blame only yourself at losing.

I can recall the first time I was called a cheater. Way back in the day of WoL, started playing ladder and learned about reaper rushing. I did not like to cheese but I gave it a shot a few times. Once I got all the timings down, the very first person who I tried it against, was going for a proxi barracks. After shutting it down, person pretty much acted like the protoss player here.

It happened today: PvP, i take my expo, he doesn't. So i scout a little bit, and i find a proxy gate. After building 2 batteries in the expansion i easily defeat his attack(stalkers and dts). He tries again with 3 stalkers and 1 dt( i had something like 10 stalkers and the observer)...
He called me cheater(and other things i do not think i should write here😉) , and reported me(so he said).
Strange people...

Erwodak is actually presenting an example of false consensus. Since Erwodak never scouts, he assumes no one else does. Still, the base being there for 4 minutes presents two scenarios.
1. He doesn't believe his own accusation of maphacking.
2. If Erwodak used maphacks, it would still take him 4 minutes to check the minimap.

Looked like a typical que move scout method. So advanced.
Only reason I noticed the animation changes when buildings were active was cause I was playing WoL on a potato that could barely even run the first campaign mission at 24 FPS and needed to turn it off.
