Hi Everyone, We hope you enjoyed our video! What did you think about these awesome small campers with UNDER 3,500lbs? Do you prefer a travel trailer, motorhome or 5th wheel? Please say hello by leaving a comment below and sharing your opinion about these RV floor plans.
We were thrilled to find these TT from Canada. We wish them the best! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!

The Clipper seems to have the greatest capacity for mods. I think a really nice curtain around the wet bath to offset the shock when you open the door. What I'd like to see are the security features to keep you safe from strangers if you're camping by yourself. Are the doors secure? does it have, or can you add cameras? What about outside lighting? I haven't seen anything on TH-cam that talks about this.
That's a great idea for the Clipper! The only safety features that come with most RVs will be locks on your doors and windows. They do come with an exterior light at the door. Many folks will add cameras and security features based on their needs. I'm sure there are videos about how people have reinforced their security. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support! They
My favorite is the 2nd one, but also for the tiny of the 3rd. I'm impressed and have everything I need. But definitely no to the number 1 I can't with the bathroom 😂
That's very fair. The Coachmen bathroom is not for everyone. To me it's more of an emergency situation! 🤣 We loved the Prolite from Canada too! Hope they do well. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
We loved the Prolite (Canada) too. Wishing them the best in the US. I had to go back and watch to see what you mean. 🤣🤣 Sorry about that. We had a dog that would bark at a commercial with a door bell...every time! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
28:02 Cook top, sink combo would be problematic, I feel. Washing then where to put dishes til dried (On or around the burners ?? ) Needs a split cover to have a drying area.
That's a great point about the sink/stove combo! Thanks for pointing that out. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
I wish the prolite could have a 12v fridge/ freezer & hinged counter top to pull up when needed! I wish these companies would make more countertop space! 26:44
🤣. I know that feeling all too well! Our first RV together is a 25' Class C. The bathroom is so small I have to leave if Mike has to go because he can't shut the door! When we hit the road to travel he had the ultimatum of renovate the C or buy something new....we bought something new!!!🤣 Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
You are very welcome. We are so happy to have been able to see two of Prolite's floor plans. Hope they do well in the US. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
We referred the bathroom in the first camper as a wet bath not a full bathroom. Not sure what you mean by the corner tray bathroom. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
You're welcome and thank you! So glad you enjoy these TT. We love sharing new floor plans. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
T@B 360 is my dream camper when able to downsize! Closest thing to perfect out there in my mind. I would love to see a roof rack for a kammock cross wing awning 😉 Brilliant design and build!
That's a great suggestion for the T@B! We think nuCamp does a great job! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
We owned a Prolite. At this point I can no longer remember which model. We purchased it for its weight. Shortly after we met another couple that said they had one and that it weighed significantly more than the manufacture claimed. We purchased the trailer in Quebec and drove back to Alberta. The rear car tires wore out just over half way home. We used an equalizer and all. When we got home we took it to the scales. I removed the battery, propane tank and emptied the water tanks. It came in at almost 500 lbs more than factory stated. The more surprising part was the tongue weight was 50 % greater than it should have been. The quality after its first year showed signes of decals deteriorating, mouse entry and just overall terrible construction. Any one else experience this?
That is really unfortunate! I think the weight of a trailer is very important. Sorry to hear about your experience. The company has new ownership so hopefully these issues have been addressed and resolved.
So glad we can help you find some RVs that might work for you. We have quite a few other tour videos of campers under 3,500lbs. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Hi Mike and Susan! I don’t like really small campers. But I like the Nu Camp and Prolite. I think I like the promote more. Nu Camp has no counter space to cook with. It’s cute. Thank you Mike and Susan for showing these.
I like the layout of the Prolite, but $35k is too much. We are past the COVID buying spree, and they need to reprice these "generic" campers. I might look at them again if they ever price at $25K as they should.
Fair and true. But does anyone pay MSRP? I hope people negotiate a better sales price. Lots are full, dealers need to move product! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
The T@B 360 is my favorite. The kitchen is very small, and I am not a fan of wet baths, but as I am a single traveler the twin bed and dinette set up would be perfect.
We really liked the floor plan of the T@B too! It's a great camper for a solo RVer. Not a big fan of wet baths either but better than no bath. lol. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Mike and Susan thanks for the video! These trailers are our target, up to 5,000 gvwr We are going to the RV Show at Alameda County Fairgrounds, CA this month…the pro lite trailers are nice, our local dealer has E-Pro/Geo Pro 19FD which we are looking forward to seeing in person at the show
You are very welcome! There are a lot of great camper floor plans under 5,000 GVWR to chose from. So exciting - enjoy the show! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
I have a suggestion, y'all should look into the Hiker trailer it's 1500 pounds or less and they will build it for you. The price starts at $4999 and they will let you tour the factory where they build them .
@VelvetHippos , and people are allowed to ask if Mike and Susan can look for other trailers when they have vehicles that can't tow anything more than 1500 pounds maximum weight!!!
Can't walk in the Hiker - crawl in, no kitchen inside or bathroom or refrigerator or AC or heater, and so on... Hiker is great for a box on wheels, DIY, but that was not the subject of these videos.
The Prolite classic is really nice, especially at 2, 290 pounds dry. It has everything we need and nothing we don't. Where we live most of the good campgrounds are up mountain passes - some higher than 7,000 feet - and our van isn't really a mondo towing machine, so every pound counts. The only ding, but not a deal breaker - the dinette looks a bit tiny.
So glad you liked the Prolite. The dinette is a bit small but I think I'd sacrifice that for a dry bath. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
It’s true that a lighter trailer is an advantage and sometimes that means weight cutting measures like making the dinette smaller. Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike
Some really awesome picks! I really like those Nucamps. The sink/gas burner setup, you will see that in a lot of the camper vans in Europe, and even some of their motorhomes. There’s one TH-camr guy that I watch that lives in his RV over there and he goes to all of the RV shows in Germany and Poland and a couple of other countries over there.😊
It is definitely a smart setup! One day we'll get a chance to tour some European caravans. We enjoyed seeing Dreamhaven from Australia and Prolite from Canada this year. Thanks Tiffany! 💚💛
No we are headed to Arizona for the Quartzite RV show and the United RV Rally in Tucson. Might have to put the NY RV Show on our list, thank you! And thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
🤣Thank you! Got to agree with you about the portable burner. It's a much better option in a small camper and you can take it outside! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
We agree that MSRP on RVs is still a bit high but these are not the sales price. Hopefully consumers are negotiating. It's more of a buyer's market today. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
How about showcasing teardrops? I have a small SUV with a 1500 pound towing capacity. Not interested in having to "build" my home like a pop up. I know I can't stand, but will only use it for sleeping anyway. I'm sure others may be interested to. And they aren't things you see much at RV shows or even dealers.
Coachmen clipped a little to much from that clipper in my opinion . The prolite is definitely nice, the murphy could use a little refining. Its really hard to check off all the boxes and keep that weight down. But the manufacturers are getting better at it as the demand is increasing. Great video once again.
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed the video. It has to be difficult meeting as many requirements as possible in a small, lightweight space. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
The Coachmen missed the mark. The Prolite needs 12v fridge, mirror medicine cabinet and a few more outlets. The TAB 360 is well designed and looks like a quality product, reminds me of a boat interior. The TAB would be really nice is it was about two feet longer.
Fair analysis SaltyDog69. Prolite is new to the US so changes could be in their future. nuCamp does make quality campers. They probably have a similar larger version. Thanks as always for your support!
Maybe I missed it but I didn't see a sink in the bathroom of the Coachmen Clipper 11000ROK. Also when I see trailers I'm not seeing a lot that have induction cook tops but am curious what you guys are seeing since you probably look at way more trailers than I do. Thanks for the videos!!!!!!!!
You're welcome! You didn't miss the sink in the Clipper. It only has a shower and toilet but you can always use the shower wand to wash hands. We are seeing more gas stovetops vs induction cooktops. We prefer a portable induction burner in a smaller camper. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
We're glad you liked the Clipper. It's basic but yet has most of the important features. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!

Both are really great manufacturers and floor plans. The Aliner is lighter with less CCC than nuCamp, in case weight is important. We do have a tour of the Aliner Grand Ascape ST if you are interested in comparing th-cam.com/video/UA0D4q86_rU/w-d-xo.html We have always loved the quality construction of nuCamp, so might lean a bit more towards that manufacturer. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thank you for your support!
@@charleshood Nothing wrong with going light! And the Aliner community is very strong and helpful. They have several Facebook Groups you can join. Safe Travels!
That is the MSRP and hopefully no one ever pays MSRP. But all in all nuCamp makes a great, quality constructed camper. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Unfortunately, we don't include all the specs on the RVs we tour. Most travel trailers are 8' wide so that is a measurement we leave out. I see your point on some of the smaller ones and we can certainly mention those that are under 8'. Thanks for the suggestion. And thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Travel trailers belong to 3 categories: Rest, Retreat, Reside. The first travel trailer in this video belongs to the Rest category that's why it's very basic just perfect for a day trip to the beach orthe forest. It's not meant for long term stay....
I've never heard of that description before. The Coachmen Clipper is a great getaway camper for a weekend. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
These campers are a bit small for some people. Not much floor space or storage for a litter box. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
The coachman did not do anything for me. Just literally to many holes in it where there are gaps between structure leading from inside to outside or poor gap seals in hardware installation. And the colors, layout, equipment choices were just off putting for me. Not a unit I would be satisfied in using. Overall I liked the Prolite. It’s got a good clean stylish look and the installation and layout are pretty nice overall. And it has a higher price to go with its better fit and finish. That one I would enjoy spending time in and seeing it hitched up to my midsized vehicle. It puts a smile on my face when I see it. The NuCamp @tab unit just doesn’t make the grade for be. It still contains all the features of past @tab trailers which made them not suitable for me starting with the really narrow entry door and toilet doors. everything is just built sized for munchkin type people. A type I definitely am not one of those. It still appears to have nice build grade and fit and finish from units I first experienced around 15 to 20 years ago, and it’s continues to request a premium price level. It appears to still be above average in materials, finish and build workmanship. They appear still to be one of the true premium smaller size trailer units. But their continued use of mail slot doors and undersized sizing of body ergonomic spaces still places in the reject category for me.
A bathroom sink can be sacrificed in a small camper (IMO). A wet bath is better than no bath but it's not our favorite. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Sad news is 99% of these RV's are framed in wood. A wood box on a trailer frame wrapped in flimsy aluminum or plastic. What a joke, they leak like crazy. I'll stick with Safari Condo, ultra lite, 4 season & build to last WITHOUT wood framing.
@@scottrhode3097 Roof : Wood covered with monocoque fiberglass Walls : Wood with Durofoam insulation and fiberglass cover Floor : 5/8 Poplar covered with Tekmodo Nothing on the website about the frame or the trailer frame. That makes me very suspicious. So, yes it's another wood box on wheels.
Have you ever owned a wood constructed camper? Very glad you are happy with your Safari Condo. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
The first one is (to me) a no since it has a low ceiling (I’m 5’10”) and I’d prefer an indoor kitchen….. But the last two are better for me because they have more room. The 360 is okay but I like the 400 with more room, and a bigger wet bath too.

Like your videos, wasn’t sure if you mentioned the width of the trailer. It’d be nice if you added, “at the front of this, 7/8ft wide trailer”…
#JeepRubiconWrangler this works for me! Tks
Thanks for watching and safe travels!

So glad you liked these campers under 3,500lbs GVWR. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Thank you!
Way way too small for me!!! I can't even put a litter box around that place for the cat!!!😂
These campers are a bit small for some people. Not much floor space or storage for a litter box. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
The first one I don't understand why the height is not 6 feet
Me too! Just a little short.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's good to hear what people like and don't like. Thanks for watching!

Stop putting a damn sink in the bathroom and the bathroom should be a wet shower.
Prolite is not wood framed, it is also built in Canada like your Safari.
@@scottrhode3097 Roof : Wood covered with monocoque fiberglass
Walls : Wood with Durofoam insulation and fiberglass cover
Floor : 5/8 Poplar covered with Tekmodo
Nothing on the website about the frame or the trailer frame.
Totally understandable about the Clipper. The larger nuCamps do have great features. Thank you so much for your support Robert.
