Thank you all for keeping it real. This is the #1 reason I started following you a year+ ago. Between the food costs, transportation needs, cost of living videos, and pros and cons…I can actually decide if it’s a place I want go. Again, your style is the reason I ended up traveling the DR and meeting you in LT rather then being a resort tourist the rest of my life. I can never thank you enough for that! I am Thai and most Thais usually know specific time to visit those islands in the east or south of Thailand. In addition we also have to consider whether it is low or high season to visit. High season means it costs more for flight tickets, hotels or more tourists.

Keep sharing! Northern Thailand, Central Thailand, and Southern Thailand actually have different weather patterns. Most information sources only share Central Thailand seasonal patterns which may get travelers to other regions in a bind. Example: Northern Thailand is a no-go between January to March because of rice field burning.

Hello Trevor and Anna, Happy New Years greetings to you from an equally grey and Mostly rainy Nova Scotia. Some days we all get more rain than we want, for sure. In my part of NS, we have had 11 straight days of rain, sometimes freezing rain and yesterday Jan 7 was our first day of any sunshine since Dec 26. And the night before it actually snowed enough to cover the grass and trees with that sparkly snow. Our first snow of any type here in the valley west of Halifax. It was so pretty while it lasted, couple of hours. Que cera cera!
I’ve been very busy with full time childcare these past few months which Allows much less opportunity to enjoy quiet moments to dream with you guys. Winter brings its annoyances no matter where we are on the earth. It’s meant for quieter spaces and more introspection time, so a massage and pool time even if it’s raining cats and dogs sounds like a good plan and , of course, really good food. Maybe like the couple on the beach, you just dance in the rain, especially if it’s a warm rain.😉Good days guys. From NS

Apparently, it will now slowly transcend into El Niña with basically the opposite long lasting weather system, meaning higher temperatures and draughts. But how that affect different parts of the planet, like over Thailand, Idk.

Oh no. I’m sorry your getting the rain. I thought rainy season was over. I was there in October when it flooded and the water was up to my waist and I had to walk back to my hotel from Bangla Road. The weather has been pretty unpredictable every where. Enjoy. Thanks for sharing… PS . I just finished watching Emily In Paris

Funny thing is that we are planning to be in Thailand next November and are kind of chuckling to ourselves as it seems that everywhere we go we bring the rain (which is ironic given that we are from the West Coast of Canada). As for what we watch when it rains: Netflix: Kaleidoscope, Recruit. Apple+: Echo3, Mythic Quest, Slow Horses Prime: Jack Ryan. So many more, but this is our latest set of TV goodness.

Clearly, we don’t control everything that happens, especially the weather which is extremely unpredictable. Watching videos on my iPad and 📺 for the most part, sometimes on my cell phone. Stay positive, this too shall pass. 😊

Sitting at the beach and having a few beers is a good idea when the weather is bad. Like hearing the sound of the waves. Have you tried the feet thing yet where you stick your feet in a tank full of little fish lol I have always wanted to try that. Nice video. I am on my phone right now . Thanks and take care.

Have to go with the flow when the weather is not on your side, just as you are doing. The beach was beautiful, sunny or not! We're finally heading out for a couple of weeks to the Mayan Riviera, after not travelling since fall of 2019. We leave in 5 days, and the suitcases are already getting packed - think I'm excited!!!!! Fingers crossed for the weather.🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 I watch primarily on my laptop, but when Ken is home to watch too, we cast onto the TV. - Coreen

Well it’s hot with high humidity. Throughout the early part of the daily heat evaporates water into Vapour which the less dense hot air Carries that moisture upwards. Once that water rises enough so it condenses in in cooler denser air that results in heavy rainfall. Heavy cloud cover in this case is likely due to abundant moisture in the air. The unsettled weather may also be contributed with some irregularities with this years Monsoon season.

Wow this is just bad luck! I was in Phuket in December 2003 and the rains were few, and quick when they happened. After subscribing a few years ago I have been waiting for you guys to get to my favorite destination Thailand. So to see this happen is a little frustrating for me too as a viewer. Hopefully things turn around soon. You need to make it to Krabi and Koh Phi Phi!

Luckily when I went in late November and early December it didn't rain too much, maybe 10-12 hours of rain over 10 days. The clouds were a nice break from the hot sun. I was praying for a little rain by the 4th day.

Ah it's probably because I went off to Phi phi and Railay on day 3. It was pouring at the airport when I arrived at 9am on Nov 26 but cleared up in my ride to Patong. It must have rained at night on the 27th because the ferry deck at rassada pier was wet.
