I understand that the tire data is a design maximum spec and the tire can be mounted on many different vehicles.
I understand as well that the truck data takes into account the design maximum from the truck *and* the tire.
Thank you James and Wyatt, I learned a lot.

Good basic information James ! We have a 2021 Toyota Prius . It does not have spare tire !! I talked to the parts department at our Toyota dealer . They told that it was to save weight ! They do provide a small air station to inflate the tire if it goes flat . The problem is if you have blow out or you run over something and damage the tire and damage the tire so it won’t inflate , then you are in a bad way ! So it is roadside assistance to the rescue ,well sorta !

Thanks for sharing Greg! I definitely should have mentioned that many manufacturers no longer provide a spare tire, instead provide a can of "fix-a-flat". I've run into this a few times on personal/work vehicles, but thankfully haven't needed to use. I'd venture to guess the majority of spare tires are actually flat anyway 😂
I was proud of my son for participating and learning. Thanks for coming back to watch!

You're welcome. We really enjoyed doing this video together. He learned a lot from being my demonstrator, now he can check (and fill) his own bicycle tires 😀
      Cheers!

Personally, I will go fill them 3-5 PSI from the max, depending on the time of year. I have to go to an air pump that's a couple miles down the road and I go in the morning, so the tires aren't fully heated at the time of fill. After riding all day in the Florida sun, they expand to within 1 PSI below the max. I know it says Max (cold), but I'm always afraid of going over that once the tires expand from driving and the Florida heat. That's just my ritual.

Thanks for sharing, that's the kind of comments I'm hoping for. The variety of practices different people use, in their environment/situations, and why. Take good care!

Which is the correct PSI , the one on tire or the door of the car?

That's the tricky part, talk to 100 people and you'll get 10 different answers of what is "correct". If you take your vehicle to a service center, they are most likely going to set your tires at the vehicle manufacturer suggested pressure (on the door), but that's all based on the original tires (and their load rating). Especially on trucks and trailers, tires are often changed to a heavier duty (load rating), which changes their max pressure rating on the sidewall.
For most people, particularly with a passenger vehicles like a car or van, the tag in the door is probably your best choice, unless you/mechanic has a reason to set it otherwise.
Lots of opinions of 'correct' pressure, but knowing the thing I mentioned will keep you from being excessively low or high (over tire max) to prevent the negatives I mentioned.
      Take good care!
