Hinduism is a highly open and free religion, where topics such as sex and women's freedom were not taboo in ancient India. Many temples that reflect this openness were constructed before the Islamic invasions of India.

2:30 yeah ancient India was very open minded i am talking about India before the ¡$l@m¡¢ invasions and British imperialism,
even after the ¡$l@m¡¢ invasions some parts of india which weren't fully invaded by the ¡$l@m¡¢ invaders had manage to keep their traditions, for example in parts of kerala etc women used to not cover their upper body in their day-to-day dressing, matriarchy was prevalent in some parts of kerala,
But the British were the one who actually managed to rule over the whole of India and they imposed their "Victorian Morality" in those areas also which were previously not affected by ¡$l@m¡¢ invasions, good thing was that the British at least didn't destroy the temples!
21:17 the reason could be there aren't many millennia old temples left especially in the northern parts of India because of the ¡$l@m¡¢ invasions,
The invaders had demolished most of the original temples in north India, that's why most of the temples in North India today are those that were built later.
The temples of Khajuraho were saved because perhaps they were hidden in the jungle foliage.

    • @Charlottemihell
      @Charlottemihell  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Ah what you said about Khajuraho temples hidden is very smart I didn’t think about that! When I was in Kerala I saw old pictures of people who were always topless, royal families especially. It’s very sad that invaders had to push their own agenda on to the country

2:26 From invasion (Invader were mostly Mughals today's Afghanistan people) and colonisation period (total roughly 1200 to 1400 years) it became taboo but in the 11th century and before that this civilisation was thriving & whenever any civilisation thrived it became open-minded just like Greek, Roman and Egyptian civilisations they also have Kamasutra type paintings statues etc. And it was also used as an instruction book, Couples not having kids or having problems in their relationships, who want some extra in intimacy can take one round around the temple and they will get so many ideas just like today we've Google search.
4:19 Builders choose very hard stones to curve statues. They knew that with time it'd get destroyed by harsh weather. The invaders (Mughals) were Muslims, and in their religion, there is no face, statue, or place of god so when they were converting and ruling this country they decided to destroy all identities of native people which is mainly temples and there are too many temples and too many statues on every temple so they decided to only break head and kept rest of the parts.
9:39 It's just an Asian thing. 😂I watched some Indian travellers travel to China same thing happened to them also
    19:44 😂
    Recommendation: Sun Temple, Odisha state

@@Charlottemihell If you go to sun temple and take guide they'll tell about periods, pregnancy, child birth etc. by kamasutra type carvings on temple. I watched some vloggers taking guide and what guide were explaining to them, then I understood it makes sense, in those times less population, mostly covered by jungle, there wouldn't be ecosystem of doctors hospitals medicines so you'll automatically will goto god's place to ask for help you'll meet priests and meet so many people every day they'll know some who are expert in medine, child birth, if couples not having kids etc, when you've such beautiful curvings its easy to guide/explain people just like we teach kid A for apple by showing picture of letter A and apple 💁🏻‍♂️. It surve all purpose, coming to gods place and getting problem solved, keeps society function in systematic way. 👏🏻😄
And today's all civilization stores all data in hard drives or in cloud. Anything got corrupted all data lost.🙃 People after 10,000 years how will they know how people used to live 10,000 years ago?🤣 All the cars, ships, rockets, satellite, computers, phones etc will be look like sudo science just like today noone understand why pyramid was build 🤣. In freetime while traveling you should watch Joe Rogan's podcasts with Ram Hancock.

Fun Fact : Combodia name is derived from the Sanskrit name and it means land of kamboj which was an ancient Indian kingdom. Actually, Entire South East Asia is influenced by Hinduism and ruled by the Indian Empire.
Similarly, Indonesia which means Indian Islands, Singapore which means city of lions, Malayasia which came from malay kingdom, Malaysia (Burma) etc.

Dude stop giving wrong information 🤦 Kama doesn't mean lust. It has different meanings used in different scenarios. We have "kama yoga" too which doesn't hv anything to do with lust. Kama can literally mean satisfaction or many other meanings depending on where its used. Sanskrit words hv different meaning s. There is a reason many western writers/philosophers/foreign visitors spread lot of misinformation about "Sanatan dharma" due to wrong interpretation of Sanskrit writings from our literature due to Sanskrit words having different meanings 🤦. Sensuality outside of temple (on mid tier generally for adults getting into gruhasth ashram, lower tier would probably have animal stories things like that for kids)
Idea is that is 5 senses driven world (which projects outward).. but as one starts to move inside right into Garbh Grah (womb the source of it all), architectures are such one (experiencially) leaves behind the 5 sensed driven outwardly world and go within self - the source the atman... fundamental theme of all indic Darshans and Panth .. expressed differently and lived differently by em..
